Rude bartenders rude management. This place has really gone down hill. Didn’t eat there on my last visit because serve was soo bad. Nothing like sitting & waiting to be served when the bartenders are not busy. I won’t drop another dime in the place

Went with a group of girls for happy hour. When I first arrived, a friend and I sat at the bar to wait for the rest of our group. We were served very quickly, despite a packed bar area. Once we moved to a table, it became clear that the dining area was extremely understaffed. Even though our server was hustling, it took 15 – 20 minutes for a beer to arrive(!) and about 35 minutes to get a quesadilla, even for our friend who came later and was not part of a large order. The happy hour prices were good — $ 5 appetizers — but the quesadilla was bland.

I’ve been to this bar three times and ordered food. The first time I ordered the food was ok. I got the potato skins and chicken strips. The second time I came to watch UFC and ordered beer and wings with some friends. The food was great, but the service wasn’t. The third time I came I ordered their signature burger and it was delicious and the service was great. So all in all it’s not a bad spot but don’t expect the world.

Great tv-to-patron ratio(if you’re here for a game). Prices are a little higher than other sports bars, but you’re paying for some ambiance.

Well, it’s bar food, but you’d still expect a little more. The food was bland and fairly tasteless. The steak in my tacos had a really odd texture. Cat? Maybe, but I’ll never know. My gf wasn’t a fan of her jambalaya. The best part was the mixed seasonal vegetables on my plate.

Pros: all kinds of huge TVs throughout the entire venue. Pretty good selection of food. Big place Cons: i shouldn’t sit at a half empty bar area and wait 10 minutes for someone to get my drink order and say hello. The bartender that«took care of me»(I use the term loosely), Dwayne, was very slow, didn’t make sure you needed a drink often at all. Free tip, Dwayne, if a customer sitting at your bar has less than two fingers left on his beer, you ask them if they want another. Oh yeah, you didn’t bother to come around often to see this. He was more interested in talking to friends, leaning on the POS machine doing nothing or making one drink at a time. I tried to be friendly with a few of the wait staff, and they were plain rude… like if you were bothering them. I was VERY disappointed in the service. They were not welcoming and didn’t make we feel valued as a cu$tomer. I probably won’t be back. Next time, I will go to the Irish bar right beside. Thank Dwayne and the rest of the«don’t talk to me» staff.

Wow. Where do I start? Food was awful. I know, expectations should not be high for a sports bar but I was served burned chicken wings and a wedge salad that looked like it was a week old. To make matters worse the«Napoleon Complex» bartender had a bad attitude the whole time I was there. Felt like I was really putting him out when I asked for a water with my cocktail. Never again…

Not a bad spot, was in Pentagon city and decided to stop in for an early lunch. Tried the buffalo chicken sandwich which was alright, pretty spicy breaded chicken, fries were good. Staff was friendly, dining room had a ton of TVs. Would like to try the spot out later in the day.

I tried their burger and sweet potato fries. Fries were not crispy and hot. It tasted like the ones stayed in a food warmer for a while. The burger was good. Really simple. A waitress made a small mistake a few times. I had to wait for her fixing for a while. Some waitresses were having an argument in front of customers. Taste: Just ok. Price: $ 10 – 30 is enough for dinner without drinks. The staffs: Some people need moral and technological training. The manager was really nice btw. Atmosphere: Sports bar. Noise level is higher. Parking: Hard to get a free spot. It depends what time.

The environment is nice. One corner has a few leather couches and chairs for lounging. There’s a large wrap around bar and no shortage of TVs. The beer selection is good, with a drink special every day(see my photo). I had the Burboun Salmon, which was good. However, the garlic mashed potatoes that come with it were not. Which is kind of surprising because it’s really hard to screw up mashed potatoes. I recommend the broccoli as a sub. The service at the bar is ok. This place would probably be more fun with a group of friends watching a sporting event.

First I want to say thank you to Myisha(our server) and Sierra(our bartender). We had exceptional service and great food. I would definitely come back. Everything came out hot and in a good timely manner. Nice sports bar atmosphere, clean and has a nice welcoming patio to enjoy your food outside.

DEFINITELYGODURINGHAPPYHOUR! Happy hour is a must here, awesome prices on drinks and $ 5 apps. This is a bar/restaurant in Pentagon Row. Typical bar/restaurant inside. Not spectacular service but food and drinks were great so what more could you ask for !? Will be going here from now on after work! Metro to Pentagon city, less then 5 min walk — or Peking garage next door!

I went here for my husbands work dinner. There were a good 25 people at the dinner. My husband told me the reason why they decided on champs is because the restaurant is able to accommodate a larger group of people. He also told me that they eat here often as a group because the restaurant is able to sit the group together no matter how large the group is. As far as the service, we had a very sweet waiter. He was very accommodating and really made sure our food and bills did not get mixed up. We started off with the nachos. The nachos were very good. They had enough topping for my liking. The only thing I wish was that the nachos came with a bit more sour cream. I ordered the fish tacos. It honestly was not very good. I mean I ate it because it was what I ordered and because I was hungry. But I felt that the fish was not soft and that the seasoning was very subtle that I could barely taste much.

We came here for lunch on a weekday, after it being recommended by someone at the DEA museum. It’s a huge sports bar with lots of TVs, so I can see how it’d be a great place to watch a game. I could see it being pretty busy during high profile games, but it wasn’t crowded at all when we went. We ordered chips and queso for an appetizer. The queso was so-so, but the salsa was actually pretty good. I had the garlic parmesan chicken wings for a meal, and they were decent, but nothing to write home about. The dishes my friends had(pulled pork sandwich and blackened chicken alfredo) looked good. I didn’t try them myself, but they seemed to like them. Service was average. A pet peeve of mine is having to ask to have my water refilled, but she was quick to get it once we asked, and otherwise attentive.

This is hit and miss spot. Since I had a wonderful experience today, I’ll give 5 stars! Our waiter was awesome. He was attentive, recommended, and efficient. You don’t really get that from some of the waiter/waitress! I got the mile high nachos with chili! Oh the portion is so big I couldn’t even get an entrée. Drinks are decent. Nothing really special!

I was looking for a spot to watch the UFC fight and stumbled across Champps and I’m so glad I did! I called earlier in the day and asked if they were showing the fight and if there was a cover charge. I spoke to a kind voice by the name of Emily and she told me that there was no cover charge and they were definitely showing the fight. I arrived around 7:45pm and the bar area had already begun to get crowded but wasn’t overly crowded. The dining area had available seats and we were seated immediately. The main fight didn’t start until 10pm so we had plenty of time to kill. We made our waiter(Zack) aware of that and he was totally understandable and told us that wasn’t a problem at all. Here’s what we ordered and my opinion; Started with Mile High Nachos and Wings — The nachos truly live up to the name«Mile High» because I swore I saw them a mile away when they were bringing them to my table! LOL The nachos come with a choice of Chicken or Chili, White Queso, Cheddar, Pico de gallo, Jalapeños and Sour Cream, Salsa and I added Guacamole. I choose to get a mixture of chicken and chili. It was really good. I like that you could taste the freshness of the chips, chicken was well seasoned, chili wasn’t too watery and wasn’t too thick. The other toppings were perfect and I enjoyed every bite… that I could stomach! It was so much(NOTCOMPLAINING!!) for one person to eat. This is a great dish to share for 2 or 3 people. I was way too full to taste the wings but they had that«addictive buffalo wing smell», if you know what I mean and looked delicious. I’m sure they were pretty darn tasty the way my partner inhaled them LOL I was like did you even bite the chicken? Did you chew? LOL I’ll try them next time and let you guys how they taste. I ordered the Blackened Pasta Alfredo and asked for a combination of chicken and shrimp. Now, remember I was so full from the nachos that I couldn’t even taste the wings, right? Well, yeah I was too full to eat this too. LOL I ended up taking it to go but devoured it and yes I mean D.E.V.O.U.R.E.D. it the next morning. There was tons of yummy goodness in this dish! Fettuccine noodles. Spinach. Garlic. Mushrooms. Red peppers and their own house-made Asiago Alfredo Sauce. I picked a few of the red peppers out only because it was just a bit much for me personally BUT it did make the dish colorful. Needless to say this will probably be my go to dish when I return. That Alfredo sauce was the !! We had several drinks throughout the night varying from Apple Martini to Beers to specialty drinks they had just for that night. I’m sorry I can’t remember the name of them BUT1 was Vodka based and the other was Rum based. Both were delicious! My experience here was stellar! The customer service was exceptional! During the time we were there several people came over to check on us and our waiter Zack was simply marvelous! Cheerful and giddy from the moment he started serving us. I so appreciate a waiter/waitress I can ask«what do you recommend?» «what are your favorite dishes» and they answer you so passionately that you can see from the expression on their face and body language that they actually enjoyed the food! I just can not say enough good things about Zack!!! Simply put he is one of the best waiters I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining with. While Champps is hands down a great place to chill, get good food and drinks and watch sports events ZACKMADEMYVISITMEMORABLE! And the Chef of course with his tasty bites! Thank you to all of the Champps staff ESPECIALLYZACK! ZACKYOUARETHEBEST!

Came here during happy hour on a Tuesday and it was packed. Food: Ordered the mile-high nachos and it was GINORMOUS. It was loaded with different cheese, pica de gallo and chicken. SOOBOMBBB!!! Made the list of my top 5 nachos haha Service: OK. It was crazy busy at the time so I understand why our waitress wasn’t always filling up our glasses. Would come back again just for their nachos!
