I order a margarita on the rocks with no salt. It came and had salt, and was somehow not cold. I asked for more ice and it was okay once it was cold and I had wiped all the salt off the rim. I also ordered the seafood chimichanga which came with rice and refried beans. The beans were not flavorful and the rice was poorly cooked. The chimichanga was just as tasteless as the beans, so I ate chips and salsa and some of the fried tortilla. I’d sat at the bar and the bartender didn’t bother to ask how things were despite the fact that I’d eaten almost nothing. I paid and went somewhere else for lunch.

The food was good. I got the combo fajitas and they came out within 10 minutes of ordering. Piping hot but could have used more seasoning on the meat. If your expecting colorful peppers and onions you will not get it. The chips and salsa were good as well. For a nice quick filling lunch this is the place to come too. The soft drink price is definitely high for the amount that you receive so next time I will ask for water. Customer service could be better as they were empty and no one was out front to greet or seat me.

Sucks. Avoid. Indifferent staff who just want to be somewhere else. All they want to do at 9:00 on a Friday night is leave. They are mopping around you and the kitchen is closed for even chips and salsa.

I ordered the buffalo wings and a side of grilled, both were decent. No raves or thrills. Prices seem average considering the location. Buffalo Wings [appetizer] — $ 8.95 Grilled Veggies [side] — $ 4.95 Total w/taxes: $ 15.29

Only three stars. The salsa is not so good. No where close to places like On the Border. The food is just OK and never great. It’s only been around so long because it’s location not food or service.

Came here on a whim and we were impressed. The cadillac margarita was one of the best I ever had. Chips and salsa they give you were also very good. I ordered the steak and chicken fajitas and the steak was so tender. Husband had one of the combo plates and enjoyed it. We will definitely be back.

Was there in March of 2016 on a Saturday afternoon, and the food was average. What was most memorable was the oddness of the staff, e.g. the apparent manager walking by staring intently but not asking if everything was OK and the wait person and another employee, who had just arrived to work, noodling ten feet away. The place had a freakin’ weird vibe — I wouldn’t go back.

Good food, but service is hit or miss. Today was one of the days it was terrible. Excellent Mexican food with large portions. Fresh chips and salsa to start. The avocado salad is terrific. A bit pricey at $ 9 but it has lots of fresh avocado slices, tomatoes, hearts of palm, lettuce, and a tangy vinaigrette dressing. This salad is what keeps me coming back despite some earlier disappointments with the service. The enchiladas and chile relleno are also outstanding. Great Mexican food. This place would be packed if the service was consistently good.

I had lunch on 3÷8÷2016 and the cost was $ 12.05. I added a $ 3.00 tip to make the total $ 15.05. I paid with my credit card and shortly after leaving the restaurant, I received two alerts on my phone for my card – one for $ 12.05 and one for $ 25.08. I returned to the restaurant and spoke with the manger. Shortly after, the waiter who took my order and charged my card came into the restaurant. When he spoke to me, I told him that my card was charged twice. He said that he would take a look it. He went to the manager and then told me that he had run another ticket on my card. How did this happen? This means that someone had a free lunch, twice the cost of mine. The manager then gave me a void receipt for $ 25.08. I just checked my charges online and both the $ 12.05 and $ 25.08 were gone and in their place was $ 15.05. However, unlike the other restaurant charges on my card, the $ 3.00 tip was not recorded. The tip is required to be recorded for tax purposes unless the total monthly amount an employee receives in tips is less than $ 20.00. I used to enjoy going to the restaurant because of its location and the type of food served. However, this experience has left me wanting.

I love this place and have been there many times. I’m a local, so I see the busy and slow times. I’ve take friends and family there and frequent alone. The happy hour is very competitive with any other restaurant and has good food and drink deals. The fajitas and Cuban dishes are better than anything I’ve had in DC. The staff are very personable and professional.

I had extremely fast service. The food was welcomed after a very long day on was on the way back to the Crowne Plaza. I ordered the aside puertoriqueno. It was medium rare as ordered and tasty. The watermelon margarita was satisfying. I would eat here again on my next visit. Fast and friendly customer services goes a long way.

This is a must stop place when I am in DC. I came by today at 11:25. They are supposed to open at 11. The place was locked up tight. I jiggled the door, but no one showed up. I’m not sure what was going on, but they weren’t going to open. Too bad. I missed my goto place. I guess I’ll have to figure out a new place to go.

This place wasn’t too bad. A good spot for lunch if you want to sit down somewhere. I came here when I was in the area for work. The flavors weren’t bad, just a bit bland on some items. We ordered Guacamole for an appetizer. Not too bad. The chips were good, but a little on the blander side. My colleague got the veggie Fajitas. She definitely enjoyed them. They came out sizzling hot, and the portions were pretty big. She even ran out of tortillas! I got the enchiladas, and they were okay. Enjoyable, average flavor, it could have used more spice and seasoning. Overall, I think I would go again, like I said, not a bad spot to grab a quick bite if you are looking for tex-mex/Mexican style food and are in the area.

We stumbled across San Antonio Bar and Grill while celebrating National Traffic Jam Weekend, otherwise known as traveling to visit family for Thanksgiving. We were pleasantly suprised by the food and service. Having lived in TX, I can be a Tex Mex snob, OK, I am just a snob you caught me. The tortillas were fresh, soft, and tasty. The food was seasoned well, came out of the kitchen soon after we placed our order, and was delivered by a friendly and attentive server. It is a bar and grill so don’t get uppity when you walk in. It is casual, comfortable, and the food is very good.

Stumbled across this place on an early Sat evening. Pretty empty and we found out why. Nice that they have Happy Hours, but the service was very slow, for no particular reason. The food was alright, was we were finally got to place our order. It might have better if we hadn’t sat in the bar, no telling.

Surprisingly good food here! I know this is in the Crystal City underground mall, making for an unlikely place for a high-quality Mexican restaurant. In my and my friend Scott’s opinion, the tacos here are just about the best as you’ll find– and he’s from Texas! I ordered the combination chicken and beef fajitas, which were tasty and plenty full for one person. Three fajitas, chicken and beef dish, salad with avocado and cream, beans and rice, and salsa. Nice. The price was indicative of its location($ 17), and would probably be a few bucks cheaper if not in a mall. All in all, good eats.

Labor day eve Sunday evening: at least they’re open. I had chicken soup along with an order of fried shrimp, octopus and squid chunks. The soup was tasteless. The fried shrimp and mollusks had a crisp fried batter with an average taste. These flaws don’t deserve one star, the conduct of the chef does. My wife ordered fajitas which come with a cup of beans. She gave me the beans which I began to eat. My second spoonful dredged up a large non-bean-mush item. It appeared to be aluminum foil. This is disappointing. After the cup of metal tainted beans was returned, the waitress said the chef would be out to our table. I expected a mea maxima culpa at the very least. What I got was an arrogant idiot saying he had no idea how anything could have gotten into the beans in his kitchen. A long silence followed with an implication that I corrupted his food. I wouldn’t go back here if they had the last edible morsel on earth and they were paying me to take it away.

have eaten here 2 times now and both times got friends service, not the fastest though. chips and salsa were good, I was starving so that might have been the reason I liked it. I got the fajitas, and my daughter the avacado salad, both good but small the margaritas were good. over all the value for the price was not that good. food taste good but value poor
