Love Chapps burgers! Don’t love their new checkout system . A restaurant with counter service only should not have a checkout system asking for tip percentage requests to be added to the bill. Why would someone feel required to tip a person ringing in food? Should I tip my cleaners personnel? What about the lady who rings me up at Walmart? CHAPPSMANAGEMENT: PAYYOURPERSONNEL — do not pressure patrons for unreasonable tips.

Came again for the 1st time in a while. Food still good. Décor has been updated but ceiling vents, fans, etc are still filthy.

This was my 2nd visit to this place. The staff wanted burgers for the lunch and my boss was paying. No complaints here. I got my usual fully loaded bacon cheeseburger(american and cheddar) on a wheat bun with fries. They did not disappoint for the 2nd time. The beef was tender(and flavorful) and the bun was able to withstand the condiments and held together until I finished my burger. Fries were just fries… nothing special. Probably one of the top 5 places since I have been in Texas!

Burgers are tasty with REALMEAT. Grilled onions come standard. Fluffy bun, maybe sourdough. Great real fries. Philly cheese steak at the table next to me definitely had luscious looking green peppers and onion on hers. She proclaimed it a very good Philly.

On par for this chain. Great food and great service. Yes, it’s a little old, but has an old café feel. Tucked between a computer repair shop and hair salon in a strip center. Ordering is easy and always right! Food is made fresh and great!

Wow! I haven’t been here in a while. Good neighborhood burger joint. Can’t wait till I’m ready for a good burger and homemade fries!

Since finding this local burger chain tucked away in a strip mall between Ace Hardware & Hallmark, we have visited at least a half dozen times. Today, I ordered a cheeseburger for the first time. YUMMMMM! Let me acknowledge my favorite item on their menu before I go on. They make the best chili cheese dog in the area, hands down. For those of you looking for that type of guilty pleasure, they would get eight stars out of five. They also do an excellent job on two hard-to-find items — fried mushrooms(around $ 3) and a nice fish & chips. Their fries are hand cut with skin on, and they manage to keep them nice & thick. They also off some chicken sandwiches, a philly, and today were advertising a turkey burger. They have salads, but we have never tried one. The usual purpose of our visits here are for the burgers & dogs. I had it in mind after last night, that I would order a burger here(all I had tried previously is the chili cheese dog). I really was jonesing for a great burger, and I was not disappointed. I ordered the Mushroom & Cheese($ 7.39) and added bacon. I did not ask how much they charge for bacon, and I really do not mind what ever it is. My companion ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger(also $ 7.39). The basic cheeseburger is a bit less expensive, if you lean that way. All the burgers come with your choice of mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions, and your choice of cheese(American, Swiss, Cheddar, or Pepper Jack). My burger came out hot & juicy, on a grilled wheat bun that was substantial enough to hold up to the Nolan Ryan Beef ½ lb burger. The bun had a perfect tasting to it. The meat was lightly seasoned, but bursting with a fresh flavor. The bacon was cooked perfectly, and the mushrooms were perfectly sautéed. My companions burger came out equally juicy, though the kitchen forgot the bacon. This was quickly remedied with a smile and apology. We also ordered the cheddar fries. Very tasty! As to other comments about cleanliness, I have never seen any residual dirt indicative of neglect. They usually have one or two front line employees who take orders, run food, and bus the tables. If you are too pretentious to understand that, go to Five Guys or Smashburger. See how that works for you. I just found out this place is from the same people who brought us the greatest burger joint in the Metroplex — Jim’s on Division Street. If I had two requests — one would be to ditch the Heinz catsup in favor of Hunts or something generic & the second would be to find a way to bring the Nolan Ryan brisket sausage dog to their menu.

Mom always warned me about places with dirty windows, if they don’t wash the windows, think what the kitchen is like. Was with co-workers so I didn’t run. Big mistake, was not in my belly for very long. Ugh.

The food here is excellent. However, i have found the service to be lacking quite a lot in terms of friendliness, enthusiasm, and positivity. In addition, i have grown quite frustrated with what seems to be a lack of attention to store cleanliness and upkeep. The owner has several locations and obviously plenty of money and yet the place looks beat down. In fact, it looks pretty much tbe same since ive been coming here. To be honest, i would come a lot more but there are hundreds of nicer more friendly places to enjoy a meal.

Kind of a hole in the wall joint so don’t go in expecting the nicest looking place. They have great food! I wouldn’t recommend anything but the Bacon Burger. It’s made with Nolan Ryan beef, thick cut bacon, fresh veggies and cooked to perfection. They don’t do anything funky or different it’s just a standard burger, but they do it fantastic. This is a great lunch spot and I recommend it to anyone that is a burger lover.

Not the healthiest menu but I’d if it was it wouldn’t taste so amazing. Mushroom swiss hamburger was exceptional.

Today was my last visit to Chapps. The chicken sandwich is good, but they fail on customer service. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and asked for no vegetables, mayo, or cheese and to add honey mustard. Basically, I wanted chicken, bread, and honey mustard. So rather than just charging me for the grilled chicken sandwich and substituting the honey mustard for all the stuff I didn’t get on the sandwich, they charge me almost a dollar for the honey mustard. I made this request to the kid at the counter and he said that his manager says he has to charge extra. I know this is not that much money, but to me it is the principle. As a result, I will not be back. There are chicken sandwiches elsewhere.

Chapps has really good hamburgers and fries. Portion sizes are big so a Baby Chapps Burger may be more suitable for smaller eaters! The store is always clean and the service is quick. This is a great place to drop in and get a burger by yourself or sigh family & friends. Prices are reasonable and the menu isn’t complicated.

My boyfriend and I were in the mood for a burger and wanted it from somewhere different for us. Just looked on Unilocal, and found this place close to the house and tried it. He loved the fries they were good, and we will have to try it again. We called in the order, and was ready for us when we walked in the door, even on a Saturday afternoon.

Had the mushroom Swiss burger and Cajun fries. Both were excellent. The serve only Nolan Ryan’s beef. I had no idea he was known for his beef but I was impressed. His beef was way thicker than most other guys’ beef and plenty juicy.

My boyfriend amd I came here again the other night because he had Mo’s best eatery burgers and he loved it so much but he had to give his favorite burger place another try and he was not happy to say that he liked Mo’s burgers more. They say they use nolan ryan beef but it just taste bland and over cooked. Sorry chapps. you were top dog in burgers till Mo’s best eatery came to town.

The staff here was very friendly, and the food is decent, but I didn’t get excited like I was hoping to. I had the Baby Chapps because a ½ lb burger is too big for me, but apparently a ¼ pound isn’t big enough because I was still hungry. The fries are the ‘fresh cut’ kind, which I know are very popular but they’re usually too starchy for me. The ones that were overcooked to me tasted better than the others. I would actually pick Burger Street over Chapps if I want a quick-ish burger in this neighborhood, mainly because I prefer the fries at Burger Street — the burgers are about the same. My other half and stepson had big burgers, they thought they were fine but not better than their other favorite places(the apparently defunct Serrano’s and Fuddruckers).

One of the best burgers in Arlington, TX. A good half pound mushroom burger and fries. Always cooked to order. I go to this Arlington store but I have been to other location and they have been the same.
