Called for a price quote to cut something down. Got the info that I couldn’t use the coupon online but that they did do that. I would have to call back the next day and talk to his uncle. Gino the next day was very friendly. He gave me a competitive price quote. When I asked about hours, he warned about about the upcoming Clarendon bar crawl. In addition, he gave me directions on how to get there and where to park in order to carry my large pieces less distance. I’ve since brought more things for framing. I like this place.

Went in over two occasions to frame about eight things. The staff were very helpful and the end products came out amazing. I spent a lot of $$$ on my frames and that was after the 40% discount which really came in handy. The staff even delivered my pictures. Highly recommend.

Great service. Very well crafted and ready exactly when they promised. The voucher from Unilocal made it an even greater deal!

Does good work but is unreliable. I had been getting my dry-cleaning done here, so I decided to have something framed. The pick-up date slid several times, but when I picked it up well over a month later, I was extremely pleased with the results so I came back with a second project. Once again, I was given multiple new deadlines that slipped. The store only called me once to discuss progress. I had stopped in or called on numerous occasions to check on the status or after a new delivery date passed. After 3 ½ months without progress, I just picked up my materials. It’s unfortunate that the poor service doesn’t match the quality product. I will not be back.

Note: this review was part of a living social deal Gino was not responsive, did not provide timely feedback to my inquiries about my project’s status, and was late in delivering my product. lastly, the work was sloppy and had to be redone once and ideally would have been redone again but i got tired of waiting and the sub-par customer service, and settled for«good enough.» for those that suggest«you get what you pay for with a deep discount/living social deal» i call bull. that is not how you run a business or build customer loyalty. i had never been there and this deal brought me in and could have given me a positive impression of the store for future framing needs. instead of realizing that as a long-term customer aquisition approach, i got the impression that the store treated me as a one-off customer, missing that opportunity and instead opting to provide me the minimal level of service. in short — that approach ensures that I will never return or recommend the shop to others.

This place is literally across the street from the Clarendon metro right next to the TD Bank. The guy running the shop who does the framing work here is a really nice, pleasant guy — easy to deal with IMO. I was very satisfied with the work performed here(had 3 pieces done) and would definitely come back, especially at the reasonable prices quoted. I will say the pieces were completed later than expected(by a couple weeks or so) and I had to call a couple times to find out when and if the pieces were completed(most framing shops I’ve dealt with call you promptly when the pieces are done); however I did state multiple times up front that I wasn’t in a rush to have them done so this wasn’t a big deal to me. But I felt the quality of the work was good, though perhaps not quite as good as work I’ve had done by KH Art & Framing on Lee Highway. But the prices here were more reasonable and I was pleased with the work so would have zero issues coming back to get more work done here. My true rating for this shop is closer to 3.5 but since you can’t give half stars here rounded up to 4 since the shop owner was such a nice and helpful guy.

I am surprised by the negative reviews. I have had multiple pieces framed here to include the pages of a handmade cookbook that was given to my grandmother for her wedding shower in 1928. I would not trust an irreplaceable piece like this with just anybody. The owner has great taste and is alway spot on with recommendations. Excellent customer service, high quality work and very reasonable prices.

Note that this review is for a simple photo framing job. I rolled in right before closing with my own photo and frame, just needing the photo set. The clerk(owner) fired his machine back up, stayed late, worked to overcome the cheap, chipping frame I supplied him, and did it in less time than he estimated. He even took less money than he quoted, and refused a tip. The gentleman even learned my name. Best of all, the framed photo looks great. If I have any more art projects, small or substantial, I’ll be back. Highly recommended.

I have to say this is the best framing studio around in the DC area! I have had over 10 items framed here and they are all impeccably done. The owner is very nice and is super helpful in navigating around the countless options for framing. I highly recommend them!

I found this business from a Groupon(or something similar) and it has yielded great results and much happiness. I didn’t think I had much hope for a successful experience when I took in a giant Nat’l Geo map for framing but Gino and Co. treated it like a special, rare treasure and gave me top quality framing for a very good price. In addition, the business owners also have the capability to hang pictures after one moves and they do a very good job with this. This is a family owned business run by very nice people. I will send friends here and always use them in the future. This Groupon actually worked out!

Please do not use this framer. His work is poor and he does not stand behind it! No coupon is worth it. The owner is just looking for ways to attract customers and then not perform quality service! One star is to many

Worst experience of my life. DONOTGOHEREUNDERANYCIRCUMSTANCES. I used a Living Social deal, and even though I got my money back due to the poor service, I still wish I had paid full price and gone to a better company. I dropped off a canvas to be framed on 10⁄25. I returned several weeks later to find that the picture was not to my specifications(ie the painting that I wanted portrait framed was framed landscape). Since I live 45 min away, they offered to fix the frame and deliver it to me. Fast forward to 1⁄21(nearly 3 months later). And my picture is nowhere to be found despite my daily calls. When I call and ask Gino about it he says«I paid a guy to deliver it, and its not my fault that your picture is now gone». Really? What type of customer service is that?

Just got an old and fragile silk scarf framed here. It looks amazing. Great work, great service, just great overall.

I received a beautiful piece of artwork from my parents when they visited me this Spring –oil on velvet, an image of the iconic Hong Kong skyline(my hometown). I wasn’t sure how to get this piece framed and went into Clarendon art and framing to figure it out. The owner, Gino, was very helpful and wonderful to work with. After considering different mats and frames and combinations, he suggested stretching the velvet like canvas and keeping the piece super simple. This was the cheapest option of all of the ones that we looked at, so I knew he was really considering what I wanted as the customer. The piece looks amazing, and I’m very happy with the final finish. I definitely recommend coming here and I myself will be going back for all my framing needs.

Gino is always helpful, has great taste, and has helped me frame some very important and sentimental pieces — some that I’ve been carrying around for 20 years! He has a great selection of matting and framing — and gives great advice. I’ve taken about 20 pieces to him so far. And I’m picky! A few pieces had the wrong glass, and he got it fixed for me right away — no questions asked. I’m bringing two more things today. What can I say?

I got 3 of my paintings framed here with the LivingSocial deal. Two of them came out beautifully — the wife of the owner has a great eye for color, the borders we chose really made the colors in my paintings pop out. The owner was not able to get rid of the wrinkles in my 3rd painting, but that is because the type of paper required a special technique(not usually available in this part of the world) that is unique to that type of painting — so it’s definitely not his fault. I would say that the services are a tad expensive for placing the pictures in the frames that I provided(note: the owner would prefer that customers bought his frames). Overall, I’m a satisfied customer and will be bringing more of my paintings here!

I’m one extremely happy customer! I recently purchased a large print and was shocked to find out how much it was going to cost to have it framed. I stopped by Michael’s and the prices were outlandish. I got a quote from another framer in town, but it was just for the frame, no mat. On a whim, I walked into Clarendon Art Framing and I’m so glad I did! The gentleman matched the quote I got from a competitor and threw in a mat. I got the picture back and its stunning! Extremely pleased, will go back again.
