This place is okay. My food was delicious, vegetarian panini with broccoli cheddar soup and it came out in a timely manner. That being said, it was the middle of the afternoon and I was one of 3 others in the restaurant. Nothing spectacular and wouldn’t prefer to go back but nothing was really wrong with my food or service. It did annoy me however that the cashier had never tried any of the soups and this could not give me a recommendation. That is shoddy training if you ask me!

This business closed on 6÷26÷15. It had sticky, dirty tables through the very last day.

Let me start by saying it is a shame that this location is closing. Their coffee rivals Starbucks, and the pastries are a real treat. I love the chopped salad, and even when busy they are fast and friendly. It seems like a busy place for lunch, but I guess it’s not busy enough to keep this location.

I hadn’t been to a Corner Bakery in sometime and was really looking forward to it when I stumbled across it in Crystal City for a quick dinner. Although, the staff was very nice; I was a little off put when I arrived in the early evening and found nobody at the counter. After someone came up to the front I ordered my tuna sandwich and skim latte. The sandwich came out quickly(and left me feeling satisfied). However I waited a long time for my latte. I had to go back to the counter ask for it. The women up front brought a coffee to my table instead of a latte. I was tired(hence, the caffeine) so I may have said I was waiting for a coffee but I know I order(and the price of my receipt reflected it) a latte. If my order had been expedite quickly this mix up would not have been a problem. In a nutshell Corner Bakery is an upscale subway in many ways and the food is good but for the price point I expected a little better service.

Met a couple colleagues here for a quick lunch before heading to the airport. Was pleasantly surprised at the number of healthy options. After much contemplation I noticed a poster for the new Kale Caesar Salad with Chicken paired with the Tuscan White Bean Soup as a Corner Combo. I ordered it right away. Big mistake. The salad I received was nothing close to the picture. I’m fully aware of all the marketing tricks used to make food in ads look more appealing, but this was ridiculous. My salad also had several pieces of wilted, borderline moldy lettuce. Needless to say, I did not eat my salad. How was the soup, you ask? I never received it so I couldn’t tell you.

I’ve been here several times to do carry out and it takes at least 10 – 15 minutes before I get my food. I dined in today and the wait was even longer. I ordered the Chicken Carbonara and it’s supposed to have chicken and bacon. I only got one piece of chicken equivalent to one bite and no bacon. I wanted to ask them to make it again but was not willing to wait another 20 minutes. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

A quick breakfast for people living in the hotel. However, not for local people. Breakfast is ok and remember that you are at paying extra for the location. So, unless you with friends from out of town. Otherwise, you can always find something better.

Considering the location I guess I can’t complain, but when you’re selling an «Avocado & Spinach Power Panini Thin» it better live up to the name! It didn’t… The sandwich said«Thin» so I get it but any sandwich that folds when you hold it, similar to a pancake, is way too thin!(pictures below) That didn’t bother me because the bread looked as advertised. What really perturbed me was the avocado. Avocado INSTANTLY transforms any food to AMAZING! When done right… The half thimble of avocado they smeared on was NOT done right. Don’t believe me? Pictures below! I also added a picture of how the website advertises it so you can see how insane the difference is. Compared to Panera’s Egg White Avocado Power Sandwich, there is NO comparison! Similar price but at Panera you won’t get pist. *For more information see my Panera review on 9÷13÷14 in Merchants Plaza. Compared to Subway(a block and a half away), again there is NO comparison. Their breakfast sandwich combo is under 4 bucks! 3 for the combo and 50 cents for the avocado and you get a drink/coffee! I understand that we are in Crystal City and I shouldn’t be complaining about prices but I don’t care! The value for those 2 «powerful» sandwiches were awful. On a plus, their coffee was fantastic! They had a great selection. I went with the hazelnut. The employee who brought our food was very nice and seemed caring. He engaged us in a friendly conversation. I’d definitely go back for coffee but that’s about it.

Third time here. All three times. I waited over 20 minutes for my carry out order. Each time, I ask about my order, and they don’t have it. Employees rush it out and apologize. But there are too many other places that are very good around here. This was my last trip

Just found this place. Delicious baked goods. I recommend the blueberry bagel with schmear and the Anaheim scrambeler is delish! Now the wait staff was terse with me so I can’t give it a four star review. It’s a step above Starbucks if that means anything to you

Pretty much like Panera Bread except they bring your food to the table which was nice. Service was awkward and not that good. Hibiscus Lemonade was good. Counters were clean. I didn’t like how the salad was on the same plate as my sandwich, due to the fact I couldn’t toss it around. Dressing came on the side however which was nice. I got the Harvest Salad, something in the dressing was way to tangy, and I got the Chicken Pesto sandwich which I also didn’t like the dressing on it.(I believe it was the same.) The bread was good though.

Terrible service. I am a vegetarian and they placed bacon on my bagel. Also it took them 20 minutes with barely any customers. Poor msnagement.

As usual, the other Unilocalers are correct. Why don’t I listen? In this case the answer was simple– I was in a hurry and this place was the only convenient choice. Staff attitude seems mostly dismissive. After ordering, my cashier asked«here, go, what?». Literally, that was the whole question. After I paid, my curled up receipt started rolling across the counter while I was busy stuffing my change back in my wallet. The staff member standing next to my cashier reached over, grabbed my receipt, crumpled it up with disdain, and tossed it in the trash while seeming to purposefully avoiding looking at me. Very strange. Of course I’m here on business, so as luck would have it, receipts are often helpful. They give you a number when you order, and you display it for staff to deliver your food to your location when it is ready. I can’t even describe the dysfunction that occurred at this step, as the staffer delivering my food apparently couldn’t read numbers. I had to lobby for her it hand me my food, as if to convince her that the 3 and the 5 on my card was indeed the printed equivalent of the sound«thirty-five». The bagel was barely toasted and average at best.

I dont know why I keep going to this place, its just not for me. Tried the ham and cheese panini this morning, it was greasy. It did have a good amount of ham and eggs on it, though.

Average food, high prices, terrible service. I would probably just avoid this chain until they turn around at least one of the three issues.

The service is pretty bad, even for a chain restaurant such as this, but the food is at least what you’d expect. They are also open on Saturdays for breakfast, which wouldn’t normally mean anything except all the other stuff in Crystal City tends to hold bankers’ hours. I generally wouldn’t recommend eating here given the other options usually available(especially for lunch), but it’s a sufficient and slightly cheaper option to grab a bite. Just don’t expect miracles from the processed, assembly-line food or the lethargic employees.

French toast, eggs & bacon for lunch? Yep! They serve breakfast all day — just not the potatoes. I called from my office — which is across the street, waited a few minutes and walked over. My food was ready and waiting for me. I would recommend that you check food before leaving. My bacon almost didn’t make it in the bag. Oh how pissed would I have been to get back to my office and not have my bacon!

My building had a fire-alarm drill in the morning so rather than standing sweating up a storm(80 degree heat) I decided to stop by here for breakfast. Keeping it simple and quick I ordered a cinnamon roll and coffee. The roll was a nice size with the typical cinnamon taste. Upon delivery to my table(dining in) the roll was cold even though I requested it hot. Somewhat disappointing indeed. I re-filled my coffee prior to leaving as it only makes sense given the cost. Oh yeah cost. This wonderful breakfast meal can be yours for $ 5.21!
