I went to this place for the first time looking not to spend a whole lot. They had a «Roll Combination» which included a 6 piece tuna roll, 6 piece cucumber roll, and 6 piece California roll. I was by myself and they were diligent about seating me and bring out water. The miso soup they brought out was tasty and hot, just as it should be. The rolls I tried were okay. Due to its proximity to my place and its overall ratings, I’ll probably try this place again. Although I was quite full from this outing, I’ll be more likely to try something else next time.

The seaweed was a bit thick for all of our rolls which made it a bit tough to take bites out of each piece. I ordered the holiday roll which came with 8 – 10 pieces. My only complaint about the roll was that it was a bit too wide for my liking which made it difficult to eat. All in all the sushi was pretty good and fresh. I’d probably go there again if I were in the area.

The food is OK since it is one of the few Asian restaurants in Arlington, I don’t really have high expectations; the service is really bad: I’ve been there for quite a few times, one of the waitresses there always behaves as if you owe her something. The last time I went there, I planned to order something to go-but that waitress was so impatient to answer my question that I just walked away. I would not be surprise how many guests she has turned away.

I went with my daughter tonight to try and have a nice dinner and try something new. I’m not that familiar with sushi but I’ve had it a couple times in the past. The sushi was good, but the service wasn’t. I had asked the waitress to let me know what was similar to the Chinese dish shrimp and broccoli. The waitress got offended and said that they were a Japanese restaurant not Chinese. I get that… That was not what I was asking. I was asking what is similar to a dish I know my child will enjoy while I eat Japanese sushi. The waitress’ suggestion was Shrimp tempura. I didn’t have a menu in front of me but I took the her advice… though she was hardly friendly. When the dish came out, I realized that the shrimp tempura dish was bland, tasteless, fried shrimp with veggies– it’s also one of the most expensive dishes on the menu. I was disappointed because I had asked the waitress to help me by letting me know what dish my daughter could eat so that both of us would have something to look forward to whenever we thought of going to this restaurant. People ask for server suggestions many times when they are not familiar with dishes served at certain restaurants or when they’re trying something new. Unfortunately, this waitress could care less because she took offense that I mentioned a Chinese dish in a Japanese restaurant. It costed me a pretty penny and my daughter couldn’t eat more than one bite. I also tried it myself and was not impressed. Looking over the online menu, perhaps one of the teriyaki dishes could have been considered to be similar in taste to the offensive shrimp and broccoli dish I had mentioned earlier. Needless to say, I’ll go elsewhere to have sushi or any other Japanese dish so long as the service is better than what I received at Endo Sushi.

I REALLYLOVETHISPLACE. I try to come at least once a month for lunch, when I’m at work. And splurge on myself. I always get their endo lunch box. I wished they had another location near my house!

Some of the freshest sushi I’ve had in Northern Virginia. It was my first time there and the food was great. We got the fufu rolls, a sushi assortment, and spicy tuna rolls. All of it was very good. The service was quick, the prices were reasonable, the atmosphere was nice. The cherry on top of it all was that the owner was there and she was very sweet and interested in our experience. She brings a very good energy to the restaraunt and she is very nice. I am definitely going back to Endo Sushi as soon as possible!

Very Celiac friendly! The owner’s daughter was recently diagnosed with celiac and they are very helpful. They have gf soy sauce(tamari) available and answer questions carefully. I’ve bee coming here 1x week for the better part of 5 years. Great food and service. Ridiculously cheap veg appetizers and salads. Sit at the bar most nights and you’ll meet Endo.

Love the sushi and the family friendly environment. The sushi is fresh and they don’t over embellish with too many sauces. I order take out and also eat inside. The beer and saki prices are very reasonable.

Got the fufu rolls for take out and it ended up being possibly the best sushi I’ve ever had. I live nearby and look forward to trying more dishes. My roommate says the avocado salad is also spectacular. The lady who took my order was very friendly. (I also heard this is where the Japanese diplomats/expats go for sushi, and they probably know what’s up.)

Had dinner with a friend here on a weeknight. The service was good, and the sushi was good. We ordered a couple of rolls each. The staff isn’t super interactive, but they get the job done. Definitely a decent place for some good sushi.

I enjoyed this place. I needed my monthly sushi fix and they fulfilled it. We got the menu with a pencil to choose our rolls(standard for most sushi places I’ve been too). I always order spicy tuna rolls wherever I go and the rolls here were tasty and just enough spice. We also got the shiitake mushroom roll which was interesting, it was salty yet sweet. Also, the fu fu roll which has salmon, avocado, crab, fish roe, and cream sauce. Also interesting, I found out that I am not a fan of cream sauce so that’s my only reason for not loving the next roll as well but my boyfriend loved them. The popcorn shrimp baked roll was also tasty, if had cream sauce on it as well but I scraped most off and enjoyed it still. The place was cozy, the service was great and the rolls were fresh — can’t beat that.

***3.5***usual lunch spot with work besties… very friendly service. I usually go with the tempura udon, flavorful and generous portion. GF’s always get the lunch box, decent priced for quite a bit of variety/quantity. Parking is easy, always spots right in front of the complex.

Endo Sushi is a sushi restaurant in Clarendon. Just keep walking past Lyon Hall, and there is a vertical sign that directs you to the restaurant. I picked this spot based on the decent reviews it has on Unilocal. I came here to catch up with two high school friends. Our server gave us menus and a paper to write down a la carte sushi orders. We made our choices on the paper. Our food came out and it was presented nicely on platters. If you order three rolls, they all come on one larger plate, instead of three smaller plates. The food itself was underwhelming. The rice was slightly too mushy for my liking, and the pickled ginger(which was yellow, unlike the typical pink color) was overly sweet. I felt full, but unsatisfied after my meal.

I have to say I was very disappointed with my experience at Endo. I ordered simple sushi: the eel and avocado roll, and the smoked salmon and cream cheese roll. After ordering, the woman told me that it would take 35 to 40 minutes to prepare. I’ve never seen sushi take that long to prepare. I was hungry though, and I thought from the 4-star rating on Unilocal that the wait would be worth it. It wasn’t worth it. The salmon roll was very salty and the salmon was in no way smoked. The eel was extremely bony. Eel/unagi rolls have long been my favorite type of sushi, and I’ve never had bones in my eel. I was very disappointed that with the delicious taste of the eel sauce came mini stabs to my mouth. I would not recommend Endo Sushi to a friend.

My daughter in Clarendon swears by this place. We ate here once with her and it was excellent. The other evening I was working in Ballston and had a Kennedy Center ballet in the evening, so I needed something quick and portable so I could munch in the car while driving. Endo was a natural, easy choice. Parking is a bit of a challenge at 6:45PM on a Thursday night on a nice Spring day. I circled the block and wound up parking legally(thank goodness) in the neighborhood only 1 block away. Got my order taken immediately, paid, in and out of there in under 10 minutes, maybe closer to 5 than 10. Packaged nicely, with chopsticks. Service friendly, efficient, smiling. Great experience. Pricing is fair for what you get. Everything is good here, and I wanted to try something new and a bit adventurous. I got two rolls from the special menu: Salmon Paradise(salmon /masago /carrots /cucumbers /avocado /miso sauce), and Holiday Roll(tuna /salmon /yellow tail /cucumber /tobiko /avocado /miso sauce /fish roe). Everything looked good enough to eat. Wait… I mean, it was beautiful and appetizing. Almost artistic, even in a styrofoam shell carry-out box. I loved it. Fresh, beautiful, tasty, interesting taste and texture combinations. A foodie work of art. For dining in, it’s a good experience. Nice clean atmosphere, good service, traditional dress for the food preparers and servers. I have no doubts that we will return with our daughter, and that I will return next time I have a hankerin’ for sushi in Arlington.

I ordered take out on a Friday evening. The restaurant was fairly small but they weren’t super busy. We got the spicy tuna, super California roll, tempura shrimp roll, and spicy smoked salmon tempura roll… mmmm Also a green salad and vegetable tempura. It took just under 20 minutes, so not too long. I wasn’t driving too far to get home but the sushi kept very well. Everything tasted very fresh and not fishy at all. My favorite was the spicy salmon tempura roll. It was a delicious avocado, salmon, lettuce and green onion roll that was also tempura battered and fried. Never had that before and it was amazing! The super California roll was on steroids. It had your traditional crab, avo, and Masago. .plus salmon, tuna and fish roe! Based on my take out experience I will be there again. Def recommend when your craving sushi.

Great service and loved that the manager actually came and talked to us and checked on us to ask how everything was going. As a first-time sushi eater, I have to say it was pretty good! The portions are pretty big and priced well. Between two people we got two rainbow rolls, one California roll. And a veggie roll which I wasn’t a fan of. I also customized my own roll with avocado+cucumber+ cream cheese Def will be coming back since its so close to where I live.

I will note what a pleasure it is to be served by nice women who are like pleasant aunts fussing around you at home… making sure you’re eating and enjoying. The chefs behind the counter are serious pros. They’ve got their head down and they are quite at ease churning out orders. I like sushi anytime so I always seek out pleasing places which make me feel at home and this place has a good vibe. It feels classy and has character and hominess, both. I have the feeling that the sushi roll options are not as jazzy and bizarre as other Arlington spots but this place makes me feel good while offering a stalwart selection of rolls. I keep going back.

I thought this place was really expensive. The amount of food was decent, but it wasn’t anything special. Parking is limited to street parking and can be hard to find.
