I miss the crawfish tacos but this is a good place to catch some grub before a concert.(Deep Ellum) or if you are just nursing a hangover on a Sunday. These are the culmination of gentrification and street tacos. Torchys and Velvet Taco are pretty much the same.

Came in on 11÷4÷2015 around 3 – 4 ish. I absolutely love this place! Was pretty disappointed the discontinued the crawfish taco :(it was really my favorite food hands down! What do I have to do to bring this back??? Other than that I can say our service was absolutely excellent! The girl working the front came back to check on us to make sure she had everything and was super nice. The food was wonderful and our drinks were delicious! This will most likely be my new favorite place to eat because the food and the service were fantastic :)

This has been THE hangout spot when I was in college. I’ve been here almost every week during school, and it has always been a pleasurable experience. I love the big drinks, the varieties of beer, and not to mention the amazing tacos and other food items. The shrimp quesadilla is to die for! And the crawfish tacos are also a good decision. You can’t go wrong with their chips and queso as well. Their frozen margaritas are huge, it took me forever to finish it. Definitely recommend for anyone in the area looking to hangout and grab a drink or just meet up with a group of people after a meeting! Oh, and they just got cool digital menu boards behind the counter, fancy stuff!

Just left this location after waiting for at least 20 mins in line and maybe three people were able to order in that time. There was some sort of UTA student function happening and everyone was ordering drinks. Which they were making as each person was ordering them. They only had one line open for food orders. Overheard a conversation where someone had to wait 30 mins just to get a water. During that time about 5 or 6 people left the restaurant that were in line behind us. People in line were complaining about the wait time and being tired of standing. Avoid this location! Manager/management seemed non-existent. The beer line which had at most 3 people at a time was obviously high priority. Ended up leaving and going to the little road location where we did not have to wait in line at all!

If you want a dead roach in the middle of your torta, this is the place to be. I ate here less than a year ago and ordered a torta to-go. I opened the box to see a dead roach in the middle of my sandwich. This place is absolutely disgusting and I haven’t eaten there since.

Enjoyed the tacos here. Shame chips and salsa aren’t unlimited at a Mexican restaurant. Cool place, if you ever just wanna throw down on some tasty tacos.

This is the worst fuzzys I’ve been to. Each time I’ve been to this location they’ve either messed up my order or been stingy with an ingredient. Today I asked for extra shrimp on my sandwich and was charged $ 4 for it I’m fine with being charged extra for that. I posted a picture of the sandwich with extra shrimp. I told the cook about it and they said that there was extra on the sandwich and that they normally only put 4 pieces on each sandwich. I call bs on that. I’m never coming back to this location and will tell my friends and coworkers about it.

Their tempura fish tacos are out of this world! BF picked this place and I wasn’t mad! I was amazing! The chips and queso was the best I’ve had! I always get a craving for just that! And I found out they have one in Houston! Will be hitting up that location for sure!

I’ve been here maybe half a dozen times for fraternity, student organization events. My two cents: — It’s a convenient meetup spot near UTA. It’s easy to spot on Abrams, and I’ve personally never had a problem finding parking in the large lot. Great for groups, especially given how easy it is to put tables together. — Fun drinks. I actually like that my margarita will have a beer sticking out of it, or little shot capsules. Adds a bit of visual spice. — Fun drinks aside, the environment is very family-friendly through dinner. On the weekends Fuzzy’s is pretty consistently packed with families getting a bite to eat between fun and errands. — Orders seem fast, prices are fine. I can’t really comment on the food, as I’ve only ever taken bites of other people’s orders. I’m just not the guy to ask about Mexican or Tex-Mex. That said, Fuzzy’s has definitely got a lot going for it. I’ll be back, I’m sure, and often.

I just don’t get the hype about Fuzzy’s. I’ve tried it, and tried it again on numerous occasions — it’s just not up my alley. The only thing I actually enjoy is the alcoholic drinks, and that’s just to try and forget about the experience my tastebuds were just forced to endure… I tend to order the Fuzzy Moon or Fuzzy Driver — except even with the justification of alcohol, I’m left unsatisfied — in my stomach and in my wallet. I’ve ordered tacos, ground beef and shredded beef, both of which were EH. That’s the thing. It’s just EH. Doesn’t even deserve the title«Taco Shop» in my book. I’d literally rather go to Jimboy’s or hell, even Del Taco and Taco Bell. At least THEIR hot sauce I can enjoy — at Fuzzy’s their«Butt Burning Hot Sauce» isn’t remotely close to living up to it’s name. It’s like some sort of watered down Tabasco meets chipotle salsa concoction. I threw up the shredded beef tacos once, because I was literally forcing myself to eat it despite the fact my stomach was clearly raising a white flag and begging for surrender to the horrid ingredients in my meal. Yet, I’d find myself back here because someone I know(with some pretty lame tastebuds — or maybe they got scalded once past the point of repair?) «likes» Fuzzy’s. Well, let’s just say I no longer feel ‘obligated’ to go for that lame purpose. I love myself and my tastebuds too much to endure that again. I’ve also tried enchiladas, which are smothered in some sort of gringo type of «cheese» that I’m 99.9% sure is melted Velveeta. Same goes for their nachos — the one thing I thought just might be safe to order was again smothered in what toxic queso would look like. The beans are some weird consistency that makes my heart break because I literally LOVE refried beans, shoot, any type of beans — and the fact I don’t enjoy these beans is devastating to me. The only thing that would justify my eating this food again would be if I happened to find myself with the drunk munchies. Which is highly unlikely seeing as how I am not part of the high college volume that pollutes and yet very obviously supports this sham of a business. I thought college kids could at least pick a decent place to drink, but I’m again shocked because I’m proven wrong — they all flock for«drink specials» I’d pay for a regular priced drink, and not nearly as watery as it seems to be. I noticed that they opened another location in Las Colinas off 114 service road and MacArthur. Also somewhere else around the Dallas area. I was like WHAT? And that’s what prompted this review. Because the world does NOT need any more Fuzzy’s «Taco Shop“s. We already are struggling with McDonald’s, people.

Ahh, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop. We came here on recommendation for a good, local Tex Mex place in the Dallas area. We came across this exact location after going on a tour of AT&T Stadium! This place was awesome. It was super crowded, there were tons of people in there, mostly high school-/college-aged. We sat outside on their little patio along the main road because there wasn’t anywhere else to sit. I ordered a Swirl Margarita(Strawberry & Coconut) and the Crispy Baja Crawfish Taco Dinner, with refried beans and cilantro-lime rice as my sides. Oh my gosh!!! These tacos were wayyy better than I could’ve anticipated, especially for a chain! I wish they’d open this place in the Chicagoland area!

This is one of the first restaurants to come to downtown Arlington and help revitalize the area. They came in when no one else would. It was for the better. They have a good selection of tacos and Mexican food. The beer is always cold. Try the salads. They are big and filling.

Their tacos were okay, not spectacular but not bad either for the price. Their guacamole, however, is bomb. I’m not usually a fan of guac, but they do it right.

I love Fuzzy’s! I eat their tacos and I’ve had their queso and chips once(the queso is pretty bomb). Anyway, I usually just eat tacos while I’m there but I’ve tried the rice once and it was good too haha. They have so much more on the menu that I’m sure is probably equally as good. Fuzzy’s helps support local small businesses by letting them advertise there. Their cheesecake dessert… YUM. YUM I SAY!

The food here is decent, but compared to other places it is not authentic mexican. The wait to order food is WAAAAAAAAYYY too long for the quality of the food. The best thing about this place is the drinks. I ordered the margarita with a corona in it and it was very good. It was only $ 8. My friends who came and ate with me ordered the regular swirl margaritas and claimed they loved them! They were only $ 6 which is a very good price! I would not come back here for the food alone, but the atmosphere makes it a fun place.

No idea what the buzz is about Fuzzy’s Taco Shop. Went for drinks and dinner with my husband and our friend. She had a big salad, which looked good but not great. I ordered one shredded chicken soft taco and one ground beef soft taco. Not a bad deal for $ 2 each but there was more produce on them than I expected — it buried the flavor of the meat, cheese and garlic sauce. Really loud, lots of college kids(understandable since this is the UTA location) and just not a great place to hang out and try to have a conversation. Will likely go back because everyone I know digs this place, but it’s not on my top 50 list!

Man I love this place. Can you say Dos Rita??? I’ve never liked margaritas because they are to sweet but add a beer and it really cuts the sweet. The food is great every time. Unlike other places the food here is consistently very good. I love the shredded beef tacos and the cheese enchiladas. The staff is always friendly. Even the couple of times that there has been a mistake on our order, they have instantly corrected it and never tried to make it seem to be an imposition. I highly recommend this location. Give them your money, they’re good folks with great food and drinks.

I have to believe that the original fuzzys had to be amazing. It’s a shame however that there are so many locations now it has to be next to impossible to maintain a consistent product. Our daughter told us about this place she discovered in Baton Rouge that had«the best» tacos. We checked out the one in BR and although it was a good taco the place was kinda sterile and no one there working seemed to give a #+@*. This situation repeated itself when we tried again in Arlington. I guess I want every place to be a mom and pop shop with only family working there with everyone sharing a common goal to get as many people as possible to try their family recipes. You know, like the good old days when every town had one butcher, one baker, … Sadly now that there is a restaurant on every corner and in every old gas station there just aren’t enough worker bees worth a flip out there to pull from. Again, the food was pretty good. We had breakfast tacos and migas. Both were good but not great. And we just didn’t feel any love while we were there. Fool me once…

This place was crowded on a friday night, and for good reason: it makes good food. the atmosphere at fuzzys is super welcoming and fun: it’s loud and the colors and décor are bold and bright. Even though the line was long when we got there, the food came out quickly, so no problems there either. Basically, the place just serves your typical mexican fare, but they do it right. I had the one shrimp tempura taco and one fish tempura taco. Both were really tasty, but if I to narrow it to one, I’d go for the fish tempura tacos. You get huge chunks of fresh tempura fish, and there was a good balance of lettuce, tomato, and cheese in each taco. I ordered a side of potatoes and rice, and both were also really good. For the price you pay, you get a huge platter of food – but trust me, you will finish it all. We also got their fuzzyrita which is a frozen margarita with an upside down beer bottle sticking out the top. I’m normally not a fan of margaritas at all and I only got it at someone’s suggestion, but it was surprisingly delicious. Expect to down that whole thing too when you’re here. Overall, I had a really good first experience here. The food is worth the hype and you should definitely order the standout tempura fish tacos.
