Very disappointed after seeing Unilocal’s 4 star rating. We came for breakfast and the coffee was very weak and had no coffee taste. The eggs were ok. The Bacon terrible undercooked and fatty. Overall quality was not good. The only positive about your restaurant was the service.

Great food and service. Food was hot when served, just the way I like it. Waitress made a fresh pot of coffee just for me.

I had the San Diego omelette. It was delicious. My husband had the Texas Skillet. The eggs were supposed to be cooked over easy but were hard fried. They replaced it. Service was a little off but the food was excellent.

My girlfriend and I tried this place out for the first time New Year’s Eve. The food was great and the service was good as well. We both got omelets and pancakes that were hot, fresh and delicious! Better than the typical chain breakfast restaurants for sure. We will definitely be back.

My wife and I had breakfast here for the first time. I had eggs benedict and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The fried potatoes with onions and tomatoes were absolutely delicious! My wife had perfectly cooked over easy eggs with perfect bacon slices. We shared a biscuit. It is huge and very light and fluffy. This will now be our go to place for breakfast. Lunch menu looks really good too. We’ll be trying Good Day Café for lunch real soon also! Server, Rai was excellent — friendly, knowledgeable, and professional.

Very decent place for breakfast/lunch/brunch. Usually, I would give this place 4 stars, but they failed to have my to go order on time. I placed the call at 10:04 a.m., and they said it would only take 10 – 15 mins. Restuarant is only ¼ full. I only ordered 2 waffles, eggs Benedict, and chicken fried steak. Food came out at 10:49 very disappointed today

I love this place. I discovered it the week before Thanksgiving and have already been back four more times. I’ve only had the breakfast, but the food is so fresh tasting. The bacon is perfectly crispy, the french toast was moist and flavorful, the eggs taste real and not powdered. My only small complaint about the place is that often it takes a long time for your server to return to your table, even when it isn’t very busy. At this point, I’m already considering myself a regular!

When you have this many elites raving about a place it must peak your curiosity. If you are looking for a top notch breakfast joint, this is it. I’ve eaten here a couple of times and left very satisfied.

Pretty busy when I went Saturday around 1. I had the eggs Benedict. The meal was was ok. My wife had the blt omelette and said it was also ok. I think we ordered the wrong items. Next time ill try something different. Service was good and there were several workers keeping busy. Its worth a visit.

The same day I came here, was the same day I heard about it. Even a friend of mine went hours before me. Whenever it comes to breakfast/brunch, I’m all for it. Very homestyle/Tex-Mex type food. You really can’t go wrong. I had their skillet, it was Tex-Mex. Eggs, chorizo, green peppers, cheese & I added salsa to the mix, which made it even better. I love chorizo so much, it’s up there with bacon. My eggs were scrambled, which makes the whole mixture easy to process outside of the fact that I first chose to have my eggs over easy, I’m glad I changed that. They have all kinds of food to choose from. From burgers, chicken & waffles to burritos. Pick your poison. From what I’ve seen ordered, seems like you can’t go wrong.

My husband and I are quickly discovering the Cooper St., south of Sublett, is the place to be. Not only is one of our favorite restaurants in all of Arlington there(Istanbul Grill), we’ve now discovered this wonderful breakfast spot! Inside, Good Day Café is wide open, scattered with tables and a few booths for sitting. Sometimes, if it’s slow enough, there’s a sign at the front letting you know to seat yourself. Other days, when it’s busy, you wait to be seated. Our favorite time to go is Sunday or Saturday mornings, before 10 or so. This is before it gets too hectic with the brunch crowd and we usually find seats almost immediately. The breakfast menu offers such a wide variety of options that I usually have to take a minute to decide! All food options are home cooking/Mexican style. In the few times we’ve visited, we’ve tried the burritos, the skillets, the omelets, and the more traditional fried eggs and bacon. If you’re not looking for anything too fancy, Good Day Café really hits the spot! We have yet to make it try their lunch/dinner menu, but hope to check it out in the future. Staff are always incredibly friendly and attentive. I’d highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet, casual place to settle down at in the morning to chat with friends or read the morning paper.

I went into this place not expecting a lot and i came out very satisfied. I was in the mood for a good country biscuit so hop wasn’t an option and since i was in mansfield cracker barrel was too far for me to travel. I pulled out my phone and searched Unilocal and came up with this place. After reading a really bad review i figured id try the place anyway because i saw a pic of the biscuit and thats what i wanted. I walked in and the place was cool and quiet not much of a crowd but its a tuesday morning so i wasn’t expecting to wait anyway. I was greeted at the hostess counter than i noticed the sign to seat myself so i did. The waitress came by shortly and took my order. She was very friendly and helpful because i originally ordered two biscuits and the pancake platter and she looked and asked if i was sure i wanted two she quickly suggested one and said she would bring another if i was still hungry. Once my food came out i quickly found out why she had that look on her face when i asked for two. The pancakes and biscuit was huge i wasn’t expecting monster pancakes judging from the previous Unilocal pics the pancakes looked to me small saucer size but they were far from it. I seriously over ate but it was worth it and the price can’t be beat. They give you a big country breakfast for a fair price. Next time i visit ill try the omelette cause they were huge too.

I really wanted to like this place since it was recommended by a good friend. We came Sunday around noon. The place was not packed so we sat ourselves as requested. It took about a good 10 mins before someone came over and got our drink orders. After getting our drinks, we proceeded to order our meals. Not sure if our waitress was new or what but it was obvious she didn’t know the menu because she had the«deer in the headlights» look when we ordered the migas plate with chorizo and asked us to point it out in the menu. We all asked for flour tortillas that never came out even though we reminded her after getting our meal. The waitress came out at the end of the meal and apologized for no flour tortillas and said the kitchen had tried to get it out for us but couldn’t get them out in time. I would have given this place 3 stars but the food was lacking in flavor. My friends and I all agreed that the chorizo was bland and the migas scramble felt like it had more tortilla than egg or chorizo. Maybe we came on an off day so I’ll be back and hope to be able to up my rating with a great tasting meal!

I had French toast and my boyfriend had chicken&waffles, both were amazing! The waffles were fluffy and filling. I got strawberry topping, thinking it was fresh strawberries but it was like a super sweet syrup. Great little place when you don’t want to wait an hour to be seated at other brunch places like Our Place. Definitely coming back and trying something else on their extensive menu.

Sometimes nothing scratches my breakfast itch, like good ol café food. Based on my only experience so far, that’s exactly what Good Day Café delivers. For me, the attraction of small places like Good Day Café is usually the quaint atmosphere, easy going and friendly folks, a nice hello when you walk in the door, and of course good café/comfort food. Well, you can put a Big check marks to all of those with Good Day Café. I went in for breakfast and was seated by my waitress at a small booth. The place was almost empty when I arrived(few minutes past 7:00 a.m.) but quickly filled as I dined. The restaurant was clean and dimly lit, with a couple of flat panel tv’s showing local news. The menu showed they serve breakfast all day, but also had a decent lunch and dinner menu as well. I chose the Migas, as it’s a favorite of mine. I had the choice of hash browns or pinto beans on the side, and opted for the beans. Nobody at home to complain later. Well, my two Bulldogs, but I owe from their odorous bombs yesterday. The Migas came out after just a few minutes. I had asked for corn tortillas instead of the standard flour, and they were delivered along with the rest of the meal, hot and fresh. A side bowl of salsa also accompanied my meal. Everything tasted fresh, and was piping hot. I was a bit disappointed that there was little kick or spiciness to the meal, and the salsa did nothing to improve this as it was lacking in any punch. The portions were more than adequate however, and even a big eater like me was left full as I finally pushed the plate away. My waitress checked on me several times during my meal, which is quite an accomplishment as fast as I eat! As she left my check on the table, she gave me a big smile and told me to have a great day. When I made my way to the front cash stand to pay, the young lady tending it asked me how everything was. I told her good, if a bit bland. She looked at my ticket to see what I had ordered, and then said… «Next time your in ask me and we’ll put some fresh jalepeanos on your Migas». I’ll be back to try something else at the Good Day Café very soon! You should too.

Love love love the omelettes here! They are huge and so tasty. My favorite is the spinach omelette. I get cheddar cheese instead of Swiss. Also a healthier option instead of hashbrowns or toast, get a small bowl of fresh fruit. Coffee is delicious as well. Service is very prompt and courteous. Only been here twice for breakfast. I need to come and try out this place for lunch.

I’ve held off on writing my review so I could give this mom and pop spot another chance. Honestly, two stars is all I can give based on my two experiences. The very first time I came in, it looked like a ghost town. Seriously I couldn’t even find a worker to seat us so we just sat down ourselves and eventually somebody came by to drop off menus. The service that time was great the lady was sweet and attentive and made sure that she checked on us quite often. The food on the other hand was very mediocre. They have a huge menu so I can’t even begin to fathom how much of that is pre-made and reheated when it’s ordered. Fortunately enough for us we had breakfast and most everything tasted fresh. I will commend them on their hotcakes and huge biscuits that are just perfect and fluffy. My second experience coming in with the same companion was also for breakfast. We were greeted by a young man, probably of high school age, as we walked in but not very friendly. He was more interested in being on his phone. No problem– I figured you don’t want to be here on a Saturday morning and you probably got dragged in here by your mom who either works here or owns the place– so no big deal. The server was very confused when we asked questions about menu items and didnt really seem to care whenever I poured the little containers of coffee creamer into my coffee and it curdled. 3 times we did the dance with me pouring spoiled coffee creamer into my cup, requesting a new cup of coffee and creamer, and somehow all of it was curdled. I finally gave up and asked for a glass of water. When my companions food came out, his omelette was wrong and I didn’t get a plate. When I inquired how much longer it would take for my crêpe I was told«All I have to do is put it in the microwave and assemble it.» Ummm. what? Turns out they pre make the crepes, just reheat them, then smear all the toppings inside and roll it up. It was the thickest crêpe I’ve ever eaten, and even then because it has been reheated it was very rubbery. The strawberries on top were the canned ones swimming in syrup– not fresh which was very disappointing. Needless to say I haven’t been back and neither has my companion. Maybe one day when I’m feeling adventurous I’ll stop by and see if they’ve gotten their act together.
