Was there on Friday, June 10 for a birthday celebration and the service was horrible. How does a restaurant run out of potatoes. 9 of us ordered a loaded baked potato and only 3 of us got one. Our food was cold and didnt taste good. Most were through eatting before one of us receivef her food. One of the adult beverages on the menu was no longer being served. It took one and ½ hours to get our tickets due to computer issues. It was over an hour before anyone told us what was going on.

I went to Houlihan’s for a dinner party last night and I wasn’t pleased when I left. It all started at the bar when they didn’t have the drink I wanted. I ordered the stuffed chicken breast, the chicken was cool but my green beans were hard with no flavor & the baked potato was hard & cold. After we finished we waited an hour to get our tab because their computer was messed up. I will not be going back to this location in Arlington!

Customer Service at its worst… The hostess is the best thing. We get to the bar it’s has lint from the towel all over it. We ask for the area to be wiped down. Instead the bartender has a smart remark so we move to a topper. 4 employees standing around and we sit for 5 minutes before one of them came to help. Food took extra long with only 15 customers in the whole place. Ask for a manager(Jenny) and she was terrible.

Always one of my favorite restaurants, I am never disappointed. Chose this for my Birthday dinner and they came through once again. Superior service, incredible food and my friends loved their meals also. Houlihan’s remains on top of my «eating out» choices.

Good food in a nice relaxed atmosphere. The prices are higher than other places with the same menu items. Not really a kid friendly place. The service was good. But the food wasn’t really priced well.

The atmosphere is as chill as chill can be, if the attitude behind the bar is any indicator. Their happy hour prices look great, especially with the pitcher-sized glass being $ 5, but it was by far the weakest Long Island iced tea I have had since going to the dollar bars back in college. The food looked great when it came out, but the flavor and texture did not match with the appearance, and it was just«okay». The servers that we had on the patio were very friendly — credit where credit is due, right?

I was a bit disappointed with this dining experience. I had not been to a Houlihans on 10 years and decided to give it a try. My meal of chicken Alfredo was so bland on the sauce. My husband had the meatloaf and thought it was pretty good. The serving were small too. We had a birthday certificate and the server who had been rather dry and a tad rude did not even mention it to say happy birthday or acknowledge why we were dining there. For the price, I would go elsewhere for better food and service.

I haven’t been here in at least a few yeas, and I was pleasantly surprised. I don’t know why it took me so long to come back. My friend just turned 21, so of course I had to take her out for a drink. One of our friends suggested this, and we wanted to stay close to home, so the Highlands it was! We sat at the bar for Happy Hour, and it was a great experience. Our bartender was super personable and gave us great recommendations. The specials were great. $ 3 Long Islands and $ 3.95/appetizer(scaled down). There were other drink specials available, but long islands always catch my attention. We tried four of the appetizers: Thai Chicken Wings, Goat Cheese & Artichoke Poppers, Spicy Avocado Egg Rolls, and Pulled Pork Slider. Here would be my ranking for them: 1. Thai Chicken Wings: WOW. It was bursting with flavors. The sweet, tangy, and spicy all form an explosion in your mouth. Crunchy on the outside, and very juicy on the inside. Kinda wished we ordered more of that. 2. Spicy Avocado Egg Rolls: Great as well! There were so many things stuffed into that eggroll, I don’t even know what each thing was. And I didn’t really care. It went well with my long island. 3. Goat Cheese & Artichoke Poppers: very, very rich. The goat cheese definitely makes an impression in your mouth. I usually don’t like cheese, but I love these. the sauces they decorated the plate with was delicious. I need a whole container of that stuff! 4. Pulled Pork Slider: This one was kind of disappointing. There was barely any hint of barbecue at all to me, and maybe it was supposed to be like that. I didn’t quite get it. The fries that came with it were okay as well, nothing too special. I just love these little appetizers. It gives you a chance to try a little bit of everything. Definitely will be coming back and trying the rest of their apps, and other flavors of their long islands of course!

Love the atmosphere and design. We usually sit in the bar area, which has plenty of seating. Food menu is extensive, making it hard to choose-the appetizer selection has been revamped with a few light goodies, which is great! I usually switch between salad selections and chips/salsa/dip that never disappoint, while my husband tried avocado egg rolls, which were delicious! One cocktail + extra shot was plenty for us both for the holiday! We shall return again!

Nice place in town, not too busy so you don’t have to wait for a table. The food was very tasty and I would definitely check it out again. It has like a Cheddar ‘s feel. A casual restaurant to have lunch or catch up with friends.

Appetizers were good. We got the shrooms and goat cheese artichoke poppers and calamari. Calamari was not very good but the shrooms were good and very large. The poppers very flavorful like a flavor party in your mouth. Then ordered So. Cal. Fish tacos which were good also. My mom ordered the shrimp and grits and it looked great.

Houlihan’s is a great spot for happy hour or reverse happy hour depending on your time preference. I’ve been coming for years since they first came to the Highlands. When they first opened the prices were rock bottom. You could come to happy hour, split an appetizer and spend like $ 6 for drinks and a meal to fill you up. Those days have passed but their happy hour menu is still light on the pockets and the choices are plentiful. I’ve ordered the wings, spinach dip, chipotle chicken nachos, pork slider with fries, and have yet to come across a mini plate that was not delicious. Drink wise, their martinis and long islands are ah-mazing. If you’re going with a long island, I suggest getting a pitcher. It’s more economical and you get more of the LIT. Just my two cents. Happy hour is only available in the bar so you have to get their fairly early, unless you prefer outdoor seating. Service can be hit or miss but there is one particular waitress(whose name escapes me) who is fabulous and never leaves you waiting impatiently for another drink, food, or your check. Outside of happy hour, I wouldn’t really recommend Houlihan’s. Their prices aren’t steep but they’re not as good as happy hour, that’s for sure. Over the years I have sampled their hummus, calamari, and their salads among other things. Your best bet is to go during happy hour, take advantage of the specials, and split plates with your friends.

Had a party of 10 got there at 9:00 got seated at 10:00 which was fine. Was never offered water and given poor customer service. . When the food came out EVERYONE’S was cold. The food was freezing cold. Nothing was fresh and this isn’t an exaggeration. Very disappointed. Was a regular here will not be returning. Customer service has gone down significantly. Our servers name was Ashley and it is clear she hates her job. I will say that this is the first and only time I’ve had an issue here every other time was lovely

I was always told that Houlihan’s had good wings. I’ve always known them for their drinks. A friend of mine used to be a bartender there, I’ve tried numerous drinks there & they have a pretty good selection. I ordered their wings. They have two options: Thai style or buffalo style. The Thai chile glaze was incredible & the sesame-ginger sauce made the wings even better. It’s an appetizer but it was a 10-count. I don’t recall appetizers(especially wings) coming in that amount, that’s the same amount that would come with an actual meal! As a side, I got the brown rice with pineapple. It was good but it could’ve been better. I had some of the sauce left from my wings & added to my rice & tasted WAY better. I had a drink, a pitcher at that, which is a $ 1 more than a regular sized drink(what they call«Glass»). I got the Texas Beach Long Island Iced Tea. Tequila, triple sec & cranberry. The best part about it?! You can’t even taste the alcohol. Which makes the drink more enjoyable!

This is this worst place. The food is comparable to a Lean Cuisine. The server we had was horrible, ignored use. The manager walked by and spoke to everyone but us and he had to pass our table. The manager came back after 15mins as we were paying our check asking about the service. I told him how horrible it was. Even explained my husbands soup came out cold. The kitchen staff was slow. I would never visit this place again. I am very easy to please but this was just horrible.

1st visit four months ago, FANTASTIC and left at that, this place would receive 4 stars. That was a Saturday lunch. Sadly, it’s fallen off Half Dome since then.(To the point where I can’t compel myself to give the place 2 stars.) I’ve been to their happy hour several times and lunch/dinner four times since my initial Saturday lunch. Happy Hour************** ALL the male bartenders during the week are worthless, as well as 75% of the females. WHATTHEHELLAREYOUALLTHINKING??? GUYS: You’re not there to WATCHTHEGAMEANDYELLTOOTHERBARTENDERSWHENYOURTEAMSCORED. You’re not at the game, YOU’REATWORK. W-O-R-K not M-A-N C-A-V-E Do you know the difference? It would appear not. GIRLS: You’re not there to chit-chat about your nails, hair and the guy you«f****d last night»!!! Again, YOU’REATWORK!!! You’re there to serve the clients. DOYOURJOB and when my drink gets to 25%, ask if I would like another. Don’t make me end up testing you to see how long it would be before you ask.(16LONGMINUTES, BTW) Lunch & Dinner*********** SERVERS: It’s like the male servers and male bartenders are interchangeable. I have yet to have a female server, so no comment there. Let me finish by saying these last four times I’ve eaten there, not a single time was it busy, yet it took forever to have someone take our initial drink order, it took forever to have someone bring our drinks, it took forever to have someone to take our order, it took forever to have someone bring the appetizer, it took forever to have someone refill the drinks, then during the middle of the appetizer, the main course comes… Oh wait, where the soup I ordered??? Maybe one of the bartenders ate it.

I can always depend on Houlihans for good food and drinks! I loove ordering the calamari and requesting extra limes to squeeze on it! One squeeze for every bite! They’re great to munch on while you drink. Their thai chile glazed wings are pretty good as well. The Thai chile sauce is really tasty and the wings itself are fried to just the perfect crispyness. Today I tried their new grapefruit jalapeño cocktail. It’s pretty… interesting. The drink tastes like sweet grapefruit and the jalapeño adds a little spicy kick to it. It was good, but I don’t think I would order it again, because the jalapeños added a slightly strange taste to it as well. I remember having a fruit jalapeño cocktail elsewhere that was blended more nicely and had less of that taste while still retaining the kick from the jalapeño. I will however order the mango ginger martini next time though! Took a sip of my friends and it was really good! You could definitely taste the aroma of the ginger but it wasn’t gross or anything, and was just the perfect sweetness. We also ordered Wedding Cake shots today and WOW. I can officially say it’s my new favorite shot! Definitely try that one! They made it smell JUST like cake! And the shot went down smoothly too, no burn or nasty alcohol taste at the end. Bravo to the bartender that was working tonight bc I’ve had a wedding/birthday cake shot before elsewhere and it was disgusting. Made me not like cake shots anymore… Until tonight.

I hadn’t been to this Houlihan’s before, passed it numerous times on my trips to the Highlands. I actually haven’t been to any Houlihan’s in over 10 years and that was in Ohio and I honestly can’t remember if I like it or not. It was a Tuesday and looking for late night eats. We were seated in the main dining room and when we asked our server about drink specials she informed us about the specials in the bar area only and advised there was open seating and we could move there and still order from the full menu but she advised there were drink and appetizer specials and went over the drink specials. We moved and were again greeted courteously by our server in the bar area. She ran the drink specials again and promptly took our drink order. The bar area is really nice, comfortable seating and plenty of TV’s. The drink was the bomb, Long Island tea I hadn’t had one in forever but this one hit the spot. I had the Teriyaki wings and Chicken and avocado eggrolls. The wings were good you know standard bar fare but the eggrolls were delicious. I’ll probably order that next time. It was reverse Happy Hour so the price and taste were right. I will go back. I love reverse Happy Hours
