After giving my formal salon several opportunities to find the right formula for my desired color, I knew I had to find another place that would meet my needs. I researched salons and randomly picked Jacqui’s Design Group. I won the lottery! Andrea was able to give me the color I wanted, white/silver, on my very first visit! She loves to experiment with colors and every time I leave the salon, I feel like a new person! She also cuts my hair and gives me a rockin’ vintage bob that I’ve always wanted. The staff at Jacqui’s treats you like family. They are genuinely interested in your satisfaction and will accommodate last minute requests! I am never leaving. A friend whose hair color I really liked recommended me to this salon. When I arrived the salon was very busy & it was during a weekday. This was a good sign. I chose a color that I normally would not. The stylist said I did not have enough time to do 2 processes. Sorry can’t remember the exact details. Anyway, I asked her if she had another client after me. She said she did. I guess by my reaction after my hair was done, she could tell I did not like the results. Matter-of-fact, the stylist asked me if I liked it. I didn’t want to be rude & just said that I’d have to get used to it. After I paid, I went back to ask a question. The stylist was in the back. Maybe her next client was running late??? A couple of years later, I ran into the owner of the salon & told her how displeased I was with what I had done. It was Halloween & she seemed to be in a rush. She did say I could stop by the salon. This owner could of cared less by her reaction. I guess Halloween is more important than an UNHAPPY client.

LOVE this salon! Have been going here for awhile, and every time I get my hair cut, colored and styled, I am always amazed. Jacqui is my stylist, and does such an amazing job. I am always getting compliments on both the cut and color. The salon is full of positive energy, happy employees, which says a lot. It seems to be the place to go for a great hair cut in and around Arlington.

I’ve been visiting Cheryl at Jacqui’s Design Group for over 2 years now and I couldn’t be happier. You wouldn’t believe the number of super popular, super expensive hair Boston salons I tried(and was disappointed by) before I found this one. Cheryl always seems to understand just what I’m looking for. I have a pretty low-maintenance routine, so I just get my longish hair trimmed with some layering around my face. However, my m-i-l visits Cheryl for a more professional«done» look with hair color and highlights and always looks like a million bucks, so I know Jacqui’s Design Group can handle that too.(M-I-L doesn’t read my Unilocal reviews, in case you were wondering) If you’re looking for a great salon check out Jacqui’s, just be sure to call ahead for an appointment.

I was without a hairdresser for over a year, and tried Jacqui’s on recommendation from an acquaintance who always had a nice hair cut. I went to Jamie, who spent a long time on the cut and color. Long(hair) story short — an excellent job. The best part is I paid about half of what I used to pay at the big-name salon in Harvard Square. That explains why Jacqui’s is busy to the point of being a bit chaotic — who wouldn’t want to get such great value at a cozy neighborhood salon? The staff is friendly and professional, and Jamie is as well. Kudos to Jacqui and her staff.

I have been going to Jacquis for 2 decades+. The staff is great — very competent & reliable. You will you get the best cut possible. They know what they are doing — you are always in good hands. The Salon is full of upbeat energy and very comfortable. I can’t say enough.

I actually never got my hair done there, I just had to deal with the receptionist on a few occasions and she was COMPLETELYRUDE! I feel bad for the stylists having this girl, I think her name was Donna, being the first person the client deals with. She actually called my house and was very blunt and rude to my husband when I missed my appointment. Most salons give you a reminder call about your appointment, this one did not, so I completely forgot I had one… which isn’t their fault, its mine, but dont be rude about it… especially when i waited almost a month for an appointent.
