My husband was not impressed with his veal schnitzel. He said it seemed to be deep fried rather than pan fried. He ordered it with spätzle and red cabbage. His lunch cost $ 15.00. I ordered gulaschsuppe and spätzle. I love spätzle and it was very good. The suppe had large chunks of beef and potatoes but the broth was rather thin. Cost $ 9.00. I have to say our waitress was excellent. We lived in Germany for a time and love German food but we’ll go to Fort Worth the next time we’re craving it.

Wow. We drove a pretty good clip to get here, walked in the front door, and were greeted by absolutely no one. Nobody. We waited around for one minute, two, three. Still nobody. I’m sorry, but if you’re a new restaurant and nobody can even take the time to say hi on a Friday night you don’t need my business.

I’m really hovering between 3 and 4 stars. Its the prices that kill that 4th star. We went right after they opened so like Ted I hope it will even out after they can sell the alcoholic beverages. This place is definitely authentic. Best schnitzel and spaetzel I’ve had outside of Germany. They also have doner and currywurst but I haven’t had a chance to try them yet. I think the schnitzel was fresh– it was hot and crunchy. I’m not a fan of sauerkraut but you have to at least taste it with a bite of schnitzel. It was surprisingly mild– like they make it on site and it hadn’t had time to fully mature, which I appreciated. The pretzel was as big as a toddlers face. Served warm with clarified butter and beer cheese. I wish there was more cheese– I ran out a third of the way into my pretzel. I’m gonna give them a few more weeks and head back in for more, but with beer this time. Everytime I pass by it looks busier, so it’s a good sign!

Disappointed This place has potential. The food was decent. Probably the best spatzel I’ve ever had but it was over priced. Lunch menu plate with desserts and tip was expensive! I can’t even imagine the dinner price. Not only that but the place is decorated with 99 cent décor. It’s kind of tacky. No music so the place seemed dull. To top it off the waitress seemed distracted and mildly upset that she customers. I asked for her opinion on what to eat and she said«I don’t know» with a «I don’t eat here» look.

We came in on a Friday to take advantage of the free beer glass special. The beer was great and cold. But it took over 30 minutes to get any food. With only about 10 other costumes many not even eating. Food was ok. A friend we were with had been in a time before and said the potato salad was great. When it came it was super undercooked. We sent it back and the owner/cook seemed very annoyed. We told the bartender it was not like the time before. After we played a few rounds of pool we decided it was time to go. Hardly anyone was even at the bar this is around 11:30 p.m. Place was totally dead. When we went to tab out the bartender could not get our tabs right. It’s was extreme annoying when the place hardly had anyone in it. Beer was good food was so so.

Very limited menu and mediocre food. Our server was friendly, but we will probably just keep going to Greenwood’s in Fort Worth for German food!

Very interesting place. I was a little confused by the décor and how bamboo tied into the German Beer Garden theme. Minor detail not worth bothering with. The space is dominated by a large capacity bar. Hence the name Biergarten. We were first greeted with a cheese and thin bread stick ensemble to get us started, that would certainly have done it if we were beer drinkers. The spice and salt would have been enough for a large beer. A TV, pac man, some video games occupied one side, keeping a couple of kids entertained. The main courses came out, looked very well presented in large portions. The fun ended there. I would not be able to guarantee that the food was made on site. I won’t drag this out since there are other reviewers that are overwhelmed with the authenticity of the food. The owners were delightful and eager to make the patrons comfortable with their experience. I recommend drinking a few of their select beers.

Omg the food is beyond excellent. The chicken snitzel is HUGE and so tender the potato salad is to die for and the sauerkraut is delicious. And the bartender knows his business!!!

I echo the good reviews here. Dinner tonight was very good — a little pricier than other German restaurants in the area but given the quality of the food it was worth it. I think they may draw more traffic with a little lower price. Can’t wait to go back for a doener.

Perfect place to go eat and hang out to watch the game! The food is great especially the apfelstrudel desert! I highly recommend this place to everyone :)

New, German-inspired restaurant/bar located in S. Arlington on Cooper Street. This is in the same strip that houses Istanbul Grill and Good Day Café’ so it’s quickly becoming my favorite strip-mall in the area. Laura’s has an interesting menu in that it contains a bit of German food, some middle-eastern selections as well as American(burgers, fries, pizza). The standouts though(for me, anyway) are the beers. Krombacher on tap(Pils, Dark and Weise) with an great selection of bottles. The food options, while varying all tend to be a bit pricey but I’m hoping this is due to them currently not having a liquor license. «But Ted, how do they have beer if there’s no license lol??» you ask? Simple — they give the beers away for now. All things being equal, with my bill of 3 food items, 2 beers and an iced tea coming to $ 38 bucks, it balanced out. If prices come down on the food when the beer is for sale, I’ll be a regular for sure! Lot’s of potential here. Sample the food, enjoy the very friendly owners and staff and bask in that lovely beer.

Worst place EVER! I am native German and this place is a disgrace to call themselves a German restaurant!!! The interior is like a cheap«Kneipe»(hole-in-the-wall bar) with cheap furniture. Nothing German about it ATALL!!! Three TVs blaring — College Football game; poor guy hired for one night trying to play his accordion over the TVs’ noise; a gambling machine against the wall, etc. Food was less than desired also — cold, no taste; potato salad was horrendous; the Dönner is NOTHING like in the picture(false advertisement) or what we get in Germany, and yes, the Dönner meat was hard, dry, and just crumbles of old meat and without any seasoning on it. I took a picture of it if you’d like to see it. The Spätzle(German noodles) looked like they were out of an ALDI package, not homemade. This place is a slap in the face for a German person. Don’t waste your money nor time to go there!!! You could not pay me enough money to go back!!! It has one«Star» from me because Unilocal makes you!!!

FINALLY, a real German restaurant on our side of the metroplex! Even the chef is German, a professional chef, who cooks authentic German food! Ate there for the first time today — had the gulasch soup — huge pieces of meat, the doener — real meat, thinly sliced not the ground stuff you usually get in a doener here and the jaeger schnitzel with the most excellent — made from scratch — mushroom gravy not the powder stuff most restaurants use. To top it all off, German beer on tap — we are in Oktoberfest heaven !!! Entire staff super friendly!
