My mom lived near Lisa’s which is how I first learned of the place. Very good food for the money, but the people make the difference. When mom was sick, and didn’t want a full meal, she would order one chicken finger and a biscuit. The folks at Lisa’s would only charge her one dollar. When I’d pick up mom’s meal, I try to get them to take a little more. «Come on» they’d say, «it’s just one piece of chicken». They wouldn’t take any more than a dollar. So now I go back because of the kindness they showed my mom, and because the mashed potatoes and corn nuggets and catfish and chicken are awesome. I don’t live near Lisa’s, but when I’m in Arlington, I make it a point to eat there.

Good chicken! Somehow, they’re related to Church’s Chicken. Same taste, same chicken cut(scrawny breasts and wings with breast meat on them) same fries same roll and a pepper.

Coming from Las Vegas this place has good quality catfish. Everything seemed to be made to order. I’ll definitely go back. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars because the good quality was expected.

Lisa’s is the best kept secret in Arlington. The food is consistently good but do have to say you may want to call ahead as it can be a bit of a wait. Only negative I’ve experienced is sometimes side dishes are not hot and French fries, on occasion, are soggy. The catfish is breaded perfectly and fried to perfection and the chicken the same

We decided to take out Lisa’s chicken on recommendation of our neighbors. We were not impressed. The chicken did not have any seasoning. It tasted like it was battered in flour and just thrown in the oil. Then as we started going thru the box we noticed they were serving us chicken backs as pieces! Chicken backs are throw away… they have no meat! We paid for chicken backs!!! The way they cut the chicken was odd too. It was like they were doing it in house and someone just started cuting and had no idea! The chicken was not worth the amount spent even though they are a bit cheaper then the other chicken chains.

I like finding these kinds of down home, simple places. I drove up to the building. One of the window signs said«5 piece dark $ 3.99», and I said to myself«that’s the one for me, cha-ching!». I walked in and was glad to see there’s a counter and some chairs for dining in, because I nearly always prefer to immediately chow down when I go to a fast food business. Not tons of room there for customers to eat in, but I was the only person who sat there during my meal so it worked out that day. I saw a bunch of other people come in and order take out. The fried chicken was delicious! I added an order of fries for a dollar and they were pretty good too. Chicken came with 2 rolls.

I give a 5 outta 5 ! Very good and inexpensive chicken. They also have many other foods like okra, corn on the cob and French fries. The building is very small. There was a man with a good hat nearby.

I visited Lisa’s Chicken for the first time about a month ago. It’s a small hole-in-the-wall type of place sitting on the corner of an intersection. They have a big menu outside of the building listing all of your different options. They also have a menu inside with more details and a few different pricing options. I ordered a three piece chicken meal with corn poppers. The chicken itself was ok. BUTTHOSECORNPOPPERSTHO!!! Listen, those are the truth. I’m pretty sure Jesus would even enjoy them. I would literally come back just for those poppers alone. I definitely will try this place again when I have the chance.

Chicken was gross and very low quality; it was filled with strips of grease and fat. Yes, it’s cheap, but cheap bad food is still bad food.

This place is amazing for the price! Cheaper than Pop Eyes and KFC! For the price, this place is worth going to. Delicious souther friend food. My favorites are the fried chicken strips, fries, and corn nuggets. I love the corn nuggets here. Their recipe is quite different from other fried chicken restaurants. The chicken is really crispy and nicely seasoned where you can barely tell. Their meal packages are totally worth it. This location is also close to UTA. I remember in college I would stop by Lisa’s Fried Chicken a lot as a pit stop since it was on the way home. The service has always been great every time I go here. Their staff smiles and gives excellent service. I really do appreciate great customer service because when someone gives positive and great energy is memorable and makes you just feel great.

mmmmhmmmm good olé fried chicken, Lisa’s is an interesting place, definitely worth a try if you’re ever in Arlington! Experience: It’s in a obscure area in the near suburbs and a little ghetto part of town. However it is conveniently located near the campus of UTA. My roommate and I came at a kind of late time of the night(around 9ish~10) and they were not open to dine in, only drive thru. Which was confusing, so we parked and tried to go in but the doors were locked. so the overall experience was… meh Food: food was pretty good! the chicken was the best here(as you have already read) However, I would not recommend getting fries or the coleslaw. The fries are like the fat microwaved fries with no taste, and the coleslaw is okay not too bad. What I love about this place is the price! It was $ 6.05(includes tax, total) for a 5 piece chicken strip meal(the meal comes with 2 sides, a roll, gravy, and a drink) all for 6 dollars! totally worth it. I wish all places had Lisa’s price and portion ratio! Service: the service was okay, there was not a lot of contact since it was all drive thru. I would recommend to get to-go/drive thru. Overall, I would recommend coming here if you’re hungry and want some good olé’ fried chicken!

This is a little chicken stand right under the Fielder overpass. It is a walk-up counter place, so don’t expect to sit down. Come in, order, take home, and enjoy. They have a lot of options from chicken to fish. They have big packages for families. Well worth the stop and great for a quick nights dinner or lunch.

Lisa’s food is my drug of choice these days. I can’t get enough. It’s that good. Only four stars due to the fact I’ve gained 7 pounds since I got my first hit of Lisa’s chicken. Worth the weight though. Also it feels like a place you’d go to buy actual drugs, like, the non-chicken kind, if you were to buy drugs, which I’m sure you wouldn’t.

The bone in amd boneless chicken is wonderfully tasty and seasoned to perfection! The okra is also great! I like the crinkle cut fries… but must eat them while they are hot. I am not impressed with the chicken fried steak. It is ok for the money. Also, the Gravy is watery and thin. I am ok that it is packaged, but the consistency needs work as well as salt an pepper added. All in all, Lisa’s is great! The portions are huge and their prices are small. I would just recommend sticking with the chicken alone. You will not be disappointed!

Had a friend who had eaten here, and saw it being talked about on other food sources, so I’ve eaten here for lunch a couple of times recently. My biggest complaint lately about the places I usually go for chicken tenders is that they are gettin’ kind of rubberey. Don’t know if that’s something related to a lower quality of chicken(is that even possible?) or how it’s being cooked, but the first item I was going to try here was a tenders combo. You get five(count em) five large tenders, two sides and drink for $ 6 and change. The tenders were crispy, and NOT rubbery. Had to add a little salt to them and the gravy, but they were good, and the corn on the cob and mashed pots and gravy were good to. A great deal, and more food than you need. Second time I got the chicken fried steak, with mashed and green beans. The pots and green beans were good. The chicken fry was good, but seemed kind of «institutional»…like it was out of the freezer, pre breaded, reminded me of the ones back in school somewhat, but hey, it was still pretty good to me. But I admit, I’ve met very few chicken fried steaks I didn’t like. Once again, lots of good food for about $ 5+. Place is small, back counter with 4 – 5 seats, but if people are waiting for food and you’re eating there(got mine to go) expect to have your personal space heavily violated, but not at the fault of the person doing it. Staff is friendly, food comes pretty fast and hot. It’s good food, plenty of it, and pretty cheap. I will be going back for chicken tender fixes for sure.

Whoever Lisa is… She do it right. Great chicken, sweet price! Don’t come here for the aesthetics because this joint is a rather small establishment in a not so busy part of town. The place may not be the cleanest so expect to take your order to-go, but do CHECKITOUT! Food: I’ve ordered the fried chicken a few times and it has been hot, fresh, and crispy every time, and since their portions are fairy generous for the price(under $ 6 or so), it’s definitely worth trying out! They offer a couple of sides(like most chicken joints) to go with your order of chicken cooked in a variety of ways(grilled, fried, etc.)! The okra is pretty good, but the CORNNUGGETS are to die for. Bold claim, I know, but I can’t help but get a side order when I come. Perfect crisp on the outside, creamy corn on the inside. Oh man. The Fried Catfish(Combo #5) is definitely something I’ve been ordering every time I’ve gone lately! It’s both juicy and soft on the inside and practically searing and crispy on the outside, and it is definitely something I’d recommend! Well… what are you waiting for?

This fried chicken joint is extremely small. If you’re looking to eat at this location, I would recommend for you to take it to go. Though the place is pretty shabby looking, it gets a lot of business because the food is delicious. For the cheap prices, you can get a meal that is fulfilling. My friends and I love to come here for a quick lunch. As far as the food goes, it’s always fresh. Though the employees are friendly and the food is good, the people who run this place have terrible management. When ordering an item on the menu that isn’t chicken, you’re most likely going to wait for a good 10 minutes because they don’t start to make it until you order it. Also, the employees never really bother to make more of the side items until they run completely out. I find this to be extremely inconvenient for a fast food joint. Overall, a great place to order food from. Despite the name, they have many other options that aren’t just fried chicken. Fried catfish and shrimp are also available in(after 10 minutes of waiting), and the variety of different sides are fantastic. My friends always get the buttered corn on the cob as a side because they love it so much. 3⁄5 stars because of the wait time and cleanliness of the location. If you can get past the aesthetics of the place, I would highly recommend Lisa’s Chicken. When you’re not in a rush, the menu is an endless possibility of good quality fried foods.

Lisa’s chicken, I tried another last week with my mom and we got the catfish. Some of the best catfish in the city and unbelievably under $ 6. The name of the place is Lisa’s chicken so I decided to try the chicken and wow was it delicious. Exactly how fried chicken is supposed to taste. Fully seasoned all the way to the bone and crunchy skin but not to battered. I like that fact you don’t have to buy a pepper with your chicken because if you got good fried chicken you need a pepper. My brother was with me and he asked had I tried the shrimp so we tried it and I couldn’t believe the size of the shrimp it was yummy. So I’m wondering now why I never stopped at Lisa’s I have been passing this location for years and never stopped even though the parking lot was always full. Well now I’m a Lisa’s fan and there will be no more just passing by because Lisa’s will be my destination.

Word on the street was that this place was Delicious. It took me a long time to get over here because I am not a big fried chicken eater. Well I had the rare craving and it was on the way to a training class I had. I hit the drive through and was impressed that the menu was simple and reasonably priced. I got the two white piece combo with double fries, roll and a drink for less than six bucks! I was anxious to eat because the aroma was mouth watering. I got to class early and it was on! I was not disappointed at all and somewhat impressed. Like I said I am not a big fried chicken eater but this was better than most I have had. Greasy like fried foods is supposed to be but not ridiculous greasy. It was also crunchy just like I per fer it. The place looks like a hole in the wall joint but you should try it!
