MC Snow Cones

Really yummy, simple snow cone. Cash is only accepted so beware I had the raspberry and cream. Price is fair and reasonable as well.

Okay, I’ve been to MC Snow Cones dozens of times and it seriously is THE BEST place to pick up a snocone in Arlington!!! They have SUPER FINE SMOOTHE ICE. None of that crushed stuff that you have to crunch through.
For those of you who have never been, you might have driven past it because it’s a smaller brick building in the middle of the parking lot. You have 3 different places to put in your order — if you’re not wanting to brave the heat, use the drive thrus on either side, or if the weather is nicer, you can walk up to the very front and order. There are 2 white tables at the front where you can sit and enjoy!
When you order just a snocone they carve a beautiful rose in the ice and it’s pretty awesome!!! Almost too pretty to eat! If you add any cream it toppings, there won’t be a rose. My favorite order is always a knockout. It’s like if ice cream and snocones got together and had a child. It’s amazing. There’s one scoop of vanilla ice cream at the bottom, your snocone, and vanilla ice cream on top. I always get half strawberry shortcake and half wedding cake. I am never disappointed. I’ve never had not enough syrup. They make it perfect for me every time!
The service is always great too. They make the snocones quickly and you are greeted with a smile when you order! Make sure you have cash!

Kids love this place. Daily requested but can add up quickly ($$). The shaved ice is hard to compete with… good stuff. Recommend for sure.

Super fine ice, which I love. No chunky pieces of ice. Love the sour cherry flavor. (25 cents extra for sour flavor). Drive thru on both sides. Located in Elrod’s cost plus grocery store. Lots of flavors. Took away a star because the last time I went there, they skimped on the syrup so I got mostly just ice. Will be returning. Oh, CASH ONLY.

I was excited to come here this summer. Fist visit was awsome and enjoyed my knockout a lot. Today I came back and realized that the size medium is being priced for a large which i don’t have much of a problem with. Wait here comes the good part! I’m driving home taking small spoonfuls of goodness and had to stop for a second to PULL OUT 2 STRANDS OF HAIR?! It was fucking disgusting and I wasn’t even halfway done. My husband who was with me had the same problem! After getting home and searching a bit more we found a total of 6 – 7 strands of hair, cause the first two weren’t bad at all. I was a loyal customer since 2013 and went almost every weekend but now I can go on and search for find a better place! I’m very upset and if it wasn’t because I was 2 mins from home I would have gone back and said something. NEVER AGAIN!

TERRIBLE!!! I ordered a large lemon lime and to my surprise I found nothing but ice with no syrup. Wait there’s more my friend got a strawberry short cake with cream and had the same result which let me know that they are consistent with that. I will never go there again.

Shaved Ice! Actual shaved ice with a rose design (unless you get it with cream). They have the same flavor menu like other sno cone stands, however the ratio of syrup to ice is perfect. They dont skimp on letting you have a lot of flavor like some other stands I’ve been to before.

Actual shave ice! Wasn’t sure what to expect for such a low price it it’s very good! Will definitely be back.

5 Yum’s ! It’s shaved NOT CRUSHED! It’s awesome, It’s located in the Cost-​plus parking lot. They have wide variety of choices.

Uh, no. I wish there was an option to not even choose a star. Four people in my family and strangely enough, every flavor tastes like cotton candy. It actually has no flavor at all, it just tastes sweet. The ice was solid chunks. Yeaaaaah, we won’t be going back.

Drive thru snow cone place with lots of flavors and pretty average price. Not really sure what else to say about them.

oooO I love the shaved ice here! it’s thinly shaved so you get all the flavors. It’s just like bahama bucks but cheaper! I live close by and always pass it on the way to work every morning. I finally came in on a hot day to try it. Glad I stopped by! I had a small pineapple cream cone and it was good! refreshing on a hot summer Texas day!

I’ve been here twice within two weeks. There’s two drive through lines, which are usually long in the evening. I absolutely love their snow cones because it melts in your mouth! I always request cream which is 25 cents extra to satisfy my sweet tooth. I will definitely be back here before summer is over!

Unfortunately [for my figure], I find myself craving these on a daily basis… even during the winter when they are closed. This place is fantastic! I will agree that the name is deceiving because it isn’t a traditional snow cone. It is in fact shaved ice — the most amazing shaved ice, ever!
My only wish is that they would stay open year round.

Trying MC Snow Cones has made painfully clear to me how much I should trust the opinion of strangers ( Unilocalers) over that of my own personal friends:
That is to say, a LOT.
I had heard amazing things about this snow cone stand in the middle of a parking lot from a good friend of mine who had attended the nearby UTA, and she raved about the super-​fine ice.
I Unilocal-​ed the establishment as a means of finding the address before heading out, and was weirded out that there were only 2 reviews, averaging out to a dismal (IMHO) 3.
Props to Portia and Luis C. for telling it like it is: SUPER watered down syrup on fine ice.
The BF and I shared a Knockout (scoop of poor quality vanilla ice cream on the bottom, topped by shaved ice in your choice of flavors, topped by another scoop of vanilla ice cream on top), which we got in the «Melon» flavor”… i.e. flavorless neon-​orange syrup that tastes nothing like melon and instead like… I don’t know, sweet food coloring?
I am sorely disappointed but would still be willing to go back and give it another shot, maybe this time with a more clearly defined flavor («melon», I suppose, is not the most specific flavor to manufacture)

The ice was so fine that it quickly melted in my mouth. Many people like this, but i like the old fashioned snowballs w/​the larger pieces of ice that I can suck out of the snowball. The flavors tasted just like sugar water w/​food coloring. They should be ashamed to sell this! The tangerine did not know it, nor did the wild cherry. Luis got the chamoyada was also tasted like sugar water.

Awesome shaved ice to help you keep your cool on a hot day! I dig the peach flavored shaved ice!
