I’ve been going here for a few years now and had gotten excellent service, but not as of recently. I went in before Christmas to have some root touch ups on my high lights. The girl dyed all my roots. Went a little crazy with the bleach, and colored hair that didn’t have highlights in the first place. I looked like a zebra. Then they said to come in a week later for color correction, I ended up going home in tears because the girl ended up dying my whole head this awful brownish blackish color when my natural hair color is ash blonde… Then they ask me to come in a week later again for another color correction. No way. Needless to say I will never use ogle hair school again. My hair is ruined. I understand this is a school but sheesh if the teachers were actually any where to be found and to somewhat supervise the student my experience would of been better. Beware.

**I only rated this place one star because you need a rating to post.** Their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. I don’t usually write reviews but I had to for this location because my hair was RUINED! Aside from their crappy customer service the instructors are not involved or engaged with what the students are doing. I was here for 3 hours and not once did an instructor ask my stylist if he needed help or even ask questions about what was being done to my hair. The only time there was any engagement with the staff was when I was asked to pay. I was asked to pay before I was even finished. The atmosphere was extremely unprofessional. Everyone was busy playing on their phones — including one of the instructors who was busy taking selfies. If you want to save your hair DONOT go here!

Don’t even bother with this one. I’ve been getting my hair cut at cosmetic schools for years, and this place was so unprofessional. The woman who cut my hair heat-styled my hair without telling me it would add $ 10 to the price of my service(which would have been $ 9 otherwise), and the students were all talking to each other and ignoring their clients. I have NEVER seen behavior like that at Aveda or Paul Mitchell schools. One student was badmouthing the program too. And a teacher only stopped by to sign off on the student — without even talking to me or finding out what I wanted. I’ll find a Paul Mitchell nearby next time…

I didn’t even want to rate this place a full 1 star. HORRIBLE. I went here because I am from another state so I wanted to get with a new school for my services. This place is beyond awful. I had THEWORST pedicure I’ve ever had. I have never heard of a spa pedicure without soaking your feet, and polish — uh, no speed dry on toes or place for drying? Are you kidding me??? I had a facial done also and waxing. The waxing was really the only thing they got right. Everything was lackluster and unimpressive making me feel mad that I drove 25 minutes to try the place out. I saw no instructors checking the work of the students until they had to sign off at the end. I don’t know what these people are learning here, but the services here I received made me fear them working in the real world when they graduate. If you hear your stylist is from Ogle, be afraid, be very afraid!

I come to this place on and off and I have had some good experiences and some bad. But I keep coming back for some reason I guess the prices compared to a real salon is the big difference. I had an appt at 2pm today and I showed up at 2:05pm and they gave my stylist I requested a new client I mean I guess I should have called or texted my stylist but I thought they would give it a little time and now I am waiting. My stylist said that they usually give it to 15 min after the appt time before you lose your spot and someone else is up but I am frustrated at the fact that they asked me who I requested and they knew from the beginning. It’s like she wanted to pass me off to someone else. I know it’s a learning environment for the students here but this is disappointing.

I got a great haircut yesterday. Maybe that’s cause my expectation was so low that they surpassed all expectation. But you can’t argue with a great haircut for $ 4.50. Ok… On to the review. The Ogle School is run by students. There are a few instructors but it’s really a students show. If you walk in thinking that it’s going to be a professional setting then you will be disappointed. But other than the nervous students, you can expect salon standards. Ok… you will have to excuse new hairstylists jokes about messing up your hair and the polka dot haircut but keep your calm. They are only jokes. They do a good job. Jill was funny engaging and her off the cuff humor was spot on. It made time flow by much faster. Yes… Did I mention that a plain hair cut takes an hour give or take? The haircut was just right. Which means that there is no waiting a week for the hair to grow in. So I will have to go back in 3 weeks or so. Definitely looking forward to it!
