The food at Red Rocks is decent. Good gourmet burgers and good pizza. HOWEVER, the service is terrible. I’ve been there 5 times in the last year and every time there has been an issue with service. Most notably, no matter what time I went, lunch or dinner, service was terrible. Over 30min wait for food, no updates. 15 min wait just to be served water and acknowledged by server. I rarely complain but I did both times and received a discount or free meal. Last week was my last chance for them. No more chances.

I want to like RedRocks so badly bc I live within walking distance. I’ve even given it 3 tries before leaving this poor review. Honestly tho… Papa Johns puts Red Rocks to shame. My(non picky) boyfriend and I ate here last night and he spit out the crust bc it was so badly burnt. The beer we ordered made it to our table less than a minute before our food… and it wasn’t even a busy night. The table next to us complained their entrees made it out before the apps. This location needs new kitchen staff asap. Oh! 1 good thing about our experience… the beet salad was surprisingly good. But who goes to a pizza joint for salad… They have alot of tvs so i guess if you just want to watch football and drink beer, you’ll be OK.

(Review from Dining Experience on 11/01/2013) After discovering Red Rocks at Taste of Arlington, I fell in love with their Wood Fired Suckling Pig and Pasta Verde, which is only available at their Arlington location. At their Arlington location, street parking is hard to find so get there early. Their restaurant has a dimmed setting. The hostess sat us next to the kitchen. We felt it was strange that they had more than a dozen wine bottles at the kitchen exit. Shortly after we noticed that, one of the servers coming out of the kitchen tripped, fell, and broke all of the wine bottles. We were glad she wasn’t injured but sad that good wine was wasted. The Wood Fired Suckling Pig consisted of one slice of suckling pig served with two pieces of pineapple and topped with orange marmalade. The Pasta Verde consisted of spinach noodle, brussels sprout, zucchini, and roasted cherry tomatoes tossed and cooked in basil oil. The Pepperoni Pizza was a 10 inch pizza topped with crushed tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and spicy pepperoni.

Wow! The Sunday brunch buffet is da bomb diggity! Yeah, I just wrote bomb diggity! :-) Food & service is excellent. I Rarely give 5 stars, but have to in this review. I reserved a table for 15 of my family members for family reunion, but 25 family members actually showed up :-) Anthony, the General Manager, didn’t even bat an eye. He was so accommodating! Anthony & his wonderful equally service oriented staff added chairs to tables and seated us all in no time! Everyone was so nice! 99 cent mimosas & a VERY diverse buffet of both breakfast and lunch items, including an omelette and waffle bar. The food is very high quality. This place is now my go-to spot when visiting the area :-)

Decent pizza, so-so atmosphere, and good service. Overall a «4.» My fiancé and I visited for an early dinner on a Friday evening and didn’t need reservations and didn’t have to wait. We ordered two pizzas(they each come in individual 11″ slices) to share — we got the Redrocks Meatball pizza(meatballs, crushed tomatoes, pepperoni, and fontina) and the Colletta BBQ(roasted chicken, smoked mozzarella, red onion, Memphis BBQ sauce). Of the two pizzas, I surprisingly liked the BBQ one better — more flavor and toppings that worked better together. Overall, the food was pretty good. Decent pizza, though not my favorite pizza ever. The pizza wasn’t cut very well, so our pieces were awkwardly shaped and flopped over a lot. But the toppings were nice and fresh and we enjoyed it. Service was great — quick, efficient, friendly. I wasn’t a big fan of the atmosphere, though. Not very intimate and the chairs were not the most comfy. It’s better as a bar experience. But they do have outdoor seating, so that’s nice. The parking situation isn’t too terrible, considering that the parking on Columbia Pike is generally terrible. Just park in the same lot as the Giant parking lot and you can get fully validated by RedRocks. Overall, we had a good experience and we would visit again.

Since my parents were visiting town, I made it a point to really show them Arlington. I only had 12 hours, so I had to take them somewhere that I felt represented the style of food, culture, and attitude of Columbia Pike. I chose Redrocks because they have a great atmosphere, stellar service, and a great selection of food — that even a picky eater can appreciate. It’s always special to have your family come visit you, I only get to see my parents 3 – 4 times a year so I make sure to savor all the time I get with them. Our waitress, Uma, was perfect for the occasion. She had a great sense of humor, she was playful and creative — she even did the store special chalks! When my first choice of drink wasn’t available she came back and let me know, and when my second choice was not available, the general manager came over and apologized and we selected a third cocktail — a Tuscan Style Sazarac. It must have been meant to be because the drink was exactly what I needed, made from Sambuca Rinse, Old Overholt Rye, Bitters, and bottomed off with a sugar cube. The Pasta Verde I ordered arived, and I dug right in — but who takes their time to take on a delicious plate of spinach noodles, pesto, brussel sprouts, and asparagus? The brussel sprouts were fresh and perfectly cooked, while the asparagus was fork tender. Last time I visited Redrocks they had a gnocchi, and to be honest I was really looking forward to that — but it seems it is no longer on the menu. For dessert Max and I shared their Dolci, a caramelized pear with gelato and whipped cream. It may have been my favorite part of the meal, and it was delightful in it’s simplicity. From start to finish our mouths were full, and our hearts warm. I definitely recommend Redrocks for a drink with old friends, family, or a just an overall good night. Ask for Uma.
