**Updated review — I am so sad updating this review. I used to head to Rhodeside at least twice a week for a drink, some food, and some awesome sports. Now, I barely go every few months. Ever since their #1 bartender left and management switched over, it just hasn’t been the same. I was told that they switched from a Texas bar to an LSU bar, and I think that was a big mistake — whether the restaurants fault or not. I can see that the menu has now been tailored more towards the cajun feel and I think Rhodeside has lost sight of where they used to be. We were there for NYE and they were completely out of their specialty cocktails before midnight and my friend(who’s a guy) was at the bar for 20 minutes, and not one person came up to him to even say hi. There were three bartenders working(mind you, the bar isn’t THAT big that my friend could have been lost in the crowd) — and they completely ignored him. Another night, my gf went herself for a drink at the bar. she was one of two people at the bar and it took the bartender 15 minutes to even ask her if she wanted anything. The bartenders, in my opinion, just haven’t seemed to care much lately. Really unfortunate — the only good things I can say is that the food is always delicious and the Diablo Chicken Wrap is ALWAYS my go to — delicious.

I’d never been to this place but I’ve passed by it by years and always considered going in. So when a friend suggested we get dinner recently I said hey let’s try that place. We got there and even though it was Friday night it wasn’t so full, and we got seated immediately. They also had a really good food menu for happy hour. We ordered a couple things to share and they were good, not awesome. The pizza was shockingly delicious but the wings were average at best. The drinks were reasonable or on the cheaper side for happy hour. What really made it was that the service was excellent.

A great place to have some drinks and apps with friends. The atmosphere is very casual bar scene, with good music and good vibes, but not too loud so you can hold a conversation with those around you. Beer selection is good, and moderately priced. Food is good as well, nothing special but good for the price. The wings are the best thing available. They usually have some nice cocktails too, as I love their Moscow Mule when I’m looking for something stronger than beer. Service is good too. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Lots of TVs too, if you are looking to watch a game or 3.

Stopped by Rhodeside for just dinner with family over the holidays, though the place looks like it has a lot more than dinner going on. For example, I saw a sign for a comedy club. Can’t complain too much about the food, it was pretty solid. I had the Chicken Fantastic with tater tots and it was pretty good. We also had the tempura calamari which was definitely a bit more on the«meh» side, as it was pretty soggy. Lots of craft beers to try out(but if you’re searching for an old favorite like a Stella, you’ll probably be out of luck here.) The waitress asked if we were ready to order pretty much just as she sat us. When we told her we needed a moment to decide, she then came back about 2 minutes later asking if we were ready. We told her we needed a little longer. When we were finally ready she was no where to be seen, same as when we needed to pay. But all in all, service was all right. Good food but probably won’t be rushing to come back any time soon.

Great beer selection that is frequently updated with rotating taps. Also a good assortment of sandwiches. One of the better places in Arlington to have a seat at the bar with friends and watch a game.

Popped into Arlington on business, and got in late. Late, and hungry. I asked the front desk at the Courtyard, and they suggested Rhodeside as a good late night spot for a beer & bite. I tried the Cubano sandwich, and was pleased with the portions. Flavor was pretty good too. Good sports bar feel — lots of TVs. All in all, A-OK spot for a casual dinner or drink.

For nacho fanatics, Rhodeside makes THEBEST nachos in northern va. Cool vibes, awesome beers, food is really good and the service is consistently positive. Did I mention the nachos?

I’ve been here a couple of times now on Thursdays and Saturdays and I love it. Karaōke on Thursday nights is a circus and so entertaining! I think the drinks are over-priced but they do have a good selection. The only food I’ve had is the nachos and they made them vegetarian for me with black beans which I appreciate. I like the atmosphere, it’s dark and cozy. For some reason the entryway always has a busser’s cart there to greet you with cleaning supplies, but you just have to get past that.

I went here for the first time with some friends for the Cool Cow Comedy show on Tuesday. I had the taco burger which was delicious! And the tots were on point. As far as the comedy, I thought the crowd was kinda dead so I felt bad for the performers, but I think I could’ve enjoyed it more had there been more people who were eager to be there. I just found out about the breakfast/brunch omelette and waffles and I HAVE to go. Looking forward to going back!

TACOBURGER! Chorizo and beef does not get better then this. Delicious!!! Bartenders are not very customer friendly but they do get the job done with leaving you hanging with zero conversation. They are here to make a buck not socialize with locals like me. Waited on tee the Asian bartender for 10 minutes to get a 2nd drink. Smh HELLO I LIVEHERE! Anyhow back to the building. It’s nice. The music is not over loudly playing but I can still hear it over conversations. Lighting is very low low — which I like because sitting in an office that is BRIGHTALL day this feels great to sit in. The bar has electrical outlets to charge cell phones right where you sit and a purse hanger. SCORE !!! Bar was clean and no smells — full service bar by the way. Cheap happy hour and great dinners. Cocktails were descent.

I came here for Sunday brunch looking to order an omelet, and after perusing the menu I saw I had only one option; the $ 15 unlimited omelette and waffle option. I wasn’t even aware there was such a thing as unlimited omelet brunch, but well done America. Served until 2PM on Sundays, there is a station in the front of the restaurant where you pick your fillings and they make the omelette on the spot. My pro tip is don’t be tempted to put blue cheese in the omelette like I was; it wasn’t very good, but with unlimited omelette brunch I was able to try a more traditional ingredient pairing later. Next to the omelette station are warmers with meats(bacon and sausage I think), biscuits, hashbrown potatoes, some fruit, and a waffle station. All in all a pretty good deal for the price. I would kick my review up to four stars just based on the value alone, but my second omelette(never thought I’d write that sentence) was too oily and the biscuits were unfortunate.

Nice looking sports bar with a cool second bar downstairs where they hold comedy shows and other events. Diablo chicken salad is rather good, but the chicken wings portion is a stingy 8 for $ 10 with no compensating quality to speak of.

Stopped by on Monday, tried the diablo chicken wrap, it was delicious. Had some spice to it, but with all the right intentions. Service was as its needed in Arlington. Can’t say anything bad about it.

Ate here with a business colleague. Selected this place because colleague was staying at a Rosslyn hotel, and Unilocal!reviews indicated that this had a strong bar. We had just finished a particularly frustrating project, and wanted to close the day out with alcohol. It was the eve of the July 4th long weekend, so lots of people were long gone. Beautiful evening, perfect weather. We pulled up and got street parking with no problem, and sat outside. Only about 10 tables on the sidewalk, quite comfortable, little street noise, very pleasant. Menu had excellent beer selections, including rotating taps. I chose a local IPA, colleague got a cocktail. Both were good, colleague said her cocktail was a bit on the sweet side. So when she ordered a second, she asked for less sweet Vermouth and more Makers Mark(if you guessed a Manhattan, you would be correct). Bartender nailed it, so colleague was happy. Menu is good, not amazing. Vegetarian burger available, always a good sign. Not extensive choices for non-meat eaters, and nothing that seemed«gotta try this». We both ordered fish tacos with(on server’s enthusiastic recommendation) house-made tater tots. The tater tots were the stars: crunchy outside, tender inside, really hot, flavorful. Fish tacos were good not great, a bit drippy, neutral flavors, but still good. Served nicely in an accordion holder so it’s not too messy. Service was quite friendly and prompt yet relaxed. With so many choices in Rosslyn and Courthouse, this one wouldn’t rise to the top of the list. I won’t rush to return here, and I would be happy to eat/drink here again. I think if I primarily wanted alcohol this would be a solid choice.

I’m truly unclear about why I am such a glutton for punishment. Smh. I mean, I try to do right, but in this food game, you can turn out all wrong… After the Tupelo event, a couple of Unilocalers and I decided we weren’t ready for the night to end, so we sought out a mutually accommodating establishing: drinks, food, LeBron. How hard could it be, we were in Arlington? Very hard apparently, because Rhodeside was actually a fourth option for me. Nevertheless, when we arrived, I was sorta intrigued with Rhodesides offerings. There are two floors, the first plays trivia in the back and is surrounded tvs in the front. It’s pretty much all bar area. The stairway will lead you to a room that hosts comedy night, karaōke, and no telling what else. Sounds like a cool place to be right? I’ve become aware of the fact that when restaurants wear multiple hats, they pretty much suck at almost everything. For example, the food was crap. I had Rhodeside’s original wings. They tasted like they were fried earlier in the day and refried upon order. Old wings though? After waiting 20mins for our waitress to return to our table, I reordered and got the bacon wrapped shrimp. Meh. I’m not even sure how they messed it up. Meanwhile, my fellow Unilocal friend ordered the smoked wings that tasted like fatty bacon. Just a little weird for me. And the mixed drink ordered by my other companion… weak. Yea, over it. Everything was so blah that two of us ended the night at The Cheesecake Factory. Right. I can’t say that I’ll ever be back. Not for Karaōke, not for trivia, not for drinks and definitely not for the food. –inattentive wait staff –extensive menu, but bad food –loud, competing noise. We could hear trivia on top of the TV and loud talking patrons

Rhodeside is a nice little bar. I’ve been here a few times but have mostly been here because it’s our kickball league’s home bar after our games. The first couple times I was here it was just for a casual drink. They have a pretty solid drink selection — I’ve had their specialty gin and tonic and it’s really good but a little pricey. Most recently I’ve gone and just gotten pitchers of beers for like 14 or $ 15. Not a bad deal! Overall I can’t say too many bad things about the place!

Very nicely done for the brunch. Our server was very kind and accommodating to us for Mother’s Day. Everybody it seemed had a good meal(I had the breakfast burrito, which was very good). The appetizers we got were also very good. The buffalo mac and cheese was quite tasty and the nachos had some good zest. The only downers were that the buffet is quite limited for a brunch and the waffles are just average. But the fruit was extremely fresh as the strawberries had great flavor to them. I was very pleased with what we had there and would definitely return. It’s in a good location in Arlington and definitely deserves the reputation it has.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon when Clarendon was just way too packed with drunken bar crawlers. It’s located in a quaint corner in between Clarendon and rosslyn. Nice little neighborhood. I didn’t expect much when I went in. The service was great. We sat at the bar and the bartenders introduced themselves and all took care of us. I got a cocktail made with apple pimm, lemonade and vodka I think. It was delicious. Bf got a beer. There are plenty of TVs to watch sports. They changed the channel to the college basketball game for us. We only ordered the nachos. They were okay. There were some burnt parts to it. The salsa lacked flavor. The guacamole wasn’t nearly as good as Chipotle(is that even a fair comparison?) Anyways, I cant make a great judgement on the food since we only got the app, but the service was great, it was clean and it wasn’t a cluster buck . I would definitely give this place another try.

I just moved to the area, a block away from this place. I want to be regular there, and when you have an experience like the one my roommate had last night. We run into a very tall and pretty lady named NYSSA. I am not sure if she was the manager or not. She carried her self very well. We told her what it took for us to me «regulars» at the bar. she engaged us in conversation. Took our beer order. I told her to surprise me when it came to draft beer selection. As a true and confident server, she did not ask additional questions, and got a beer and than asked me to guess which one she picked.(that was a fun game) then she said the beers were on her. REALLYSWEET. totally unexpected. Then she comes back with a free appetizer for our next visit. how awesome was that? the food there is really good. also. The other servers are nice and friendly. I HIGHLYRECOMMEND. For the guys: This place is not a good spot to meet or pick up girls.

Came in the other night as «groupies» for our Sunday night trivia host Kathy who also hosts the game here on Tuesdays. It had been awhile since my last visit to Rhodeside(also to play trivia) and I was pleasantly surprised with my experience. First up — the food is a lot better and a lot more variety than I recall. And happily when spending hours playing trivia — very reasonably priced and lots of tasty finger foods. We had everything from a baskets of tater tots and battered onion rings, chicken wings, curry chicken spring rolls — and for good measure I even had a large garden salad. Second — service was great! Our waiter was really on the ball, charming and attentive. Looking forward to returning to Rhodeside more often.
