The experience wasn’t bad… the burgers were a little greasy but edible. The service was ok but it did take some time to receive our drive thru order.

OK so we stopped coming to this location cause the service was bad. But this time I have to say that the service was top notch. Our waiter Joseph was polite and service was excellent. I look forward to the next time I go and hope to have him again. It’s people like him that makes us want to come back

This is by far the worst location of Steak N Shake I have ever been to. Went there one night around 9pm and it was bad, like I’ve never seen it. Only 3 people on duty. One cooking, one serving and one«managing.» There was a woman who had been waiting in the drive thru and was never greeted who ended up walking in. You can just imagine how furious she was, she had also been calling. I asked for a burger and a cookies and cream milkshake. The manager gave me a vanilla milkshake bc he did not want to go through the effort of putting cookies in it. Long story short, the woman, the manager, the cook, and I all got into it. The cook got into the woman’s face yelling and screaming at her, then tried to get into my face! Like literally IN. OUR. FACES. The whole thing escalated quickly! We kept asking for their names and the manager would not give it to us, his excuse was; well he’s been working all day, he didn’t have to come in. ??? He also said he was the manager at McDonald’s for seven years lolololol– that explains it! The woman also called her husband– who she said was a sheriff to come up to this location. I called corporate the next day, and the DM called me making excuses for this location! She said they’re trying to get him trained for this position and that they’ve received many calls concerning his behavior. So you mean to tell me you hired an under qualified manager who is turning your restaurant into crap!?! She then offered me a gift card– I didn’t even want it, but said she’d still send it anyway. Well it’s been a couple of months no sign of any gift card here folks! Moral of the story is, don’t go to this Steak N Shake. I’d rather drive 20 min rather than 5 min just to avoid this place!

Steak n Shake always has good food and good prices, however this one was dirty and service was terrible. We sat for a while before anyone even offered drinks. I suggest ordering to-go, because the food is pretty good.

Dined in with my Mom and brother. The food, while good, took them way too long to make. There was an absurdly long wait before our server finally asked us our order. Future visits will be for the drive-thru.

We arrived here for my husband’s birthday! Service SUCKS, food ok but got our order wrong TWICE! I will NOTBE returning here for any other services. The staff are EXTREMELYLAZY! no customer service at all!

These people who work the drive thru suck. They are pissed when a car pulls up. You will be treated terribly while ordering. They look at you like you should be ashamed for pulling in the drive thru. Imagine you’re 17 years old & you have a 9 year old sister that never shuts up & tells stupid stories constantly. Can you imagine how annoyed you would be very regularly? Imagine how you would roll your eyes, sigh loudly, look at your annoying sister like you can’t wait for her to shut the hell up. That’s what the drive thru employees are like, & I’m the 9 year old that doesn’t know any better. I keep telling myself I will not go back to this place, but I guess on a subconscious level I like the feeling of bitchy young women sighing loudly while I order. I’m not sure who the manager is during the late shift, but that manager is either a complete dumbass, or just doesn’t care. Hell maybe he/she has given up on this franchise owner because that person sucks too. Everyone here sucks! Sometimes when your food comes out like you ordered it, you’re happy with the food.

Fist off i would half to start off by saying i completely agree with everyone about the customer service and how long it takes them. We were seated and waited almost 15mins before our drink order was taken. Then another 20mins before our server returned to bring our drinks and take our order. They ran out of kid menus and nobody could seem to tell us what was on the kids menu since they were out. Our server was very nice whenever he did attend to us, but i think they need better managers over the cooks and servers to get the place back in order instead of letting kids run it. I will give the food a 7 because of the taste which is really great.

excellent burger… my chicken sandwich was really good but my husband ordered the bacon lover with garlic mayo.. so good. Get garlic mayo. you won’t be sorry. the onion rings were a little more but we’ll worth the up charge. This location is a million times better than Lamar. I didn’t catch our servers name but even though she was very busy she did well.

I wonder Every time why we come. They are always understaffed, tables not cleaned for availability, and the management is always in back not seeing what is going on. The only thing good about this place is the price for the food and the guy named Travis was hustling to get everyone in. Poor guy, the long Ranger.

We had a group of 4 people visit this location. Immediately entering I informed the manager(since she is the one that greeted us) that we were on our lunch break and wanted to know if there was a long wait for food and she said no that it wouldnt take long. After waiting for help at the table for 15 minutes a male with glasses approached to take our order. We waited 30 minutes for the food to be brought out and I realized he left out part of my order. I ordered a foot long chili cheese with fries and I added just a burger with bacon and pickles. So he had to ring in the missing burger. I watched him and the cook argue back and forth about him putting in the order correctly.(Looking at the receipt he rang up a cherry limeade –add bacon). Instead of ringing in ONLY a burger, he charged me for a meal and included an extra fry in the bag and then told me if there were any mistakes to let them manager know when we check out. When we were ready to go we had to stand at the counter waiting for someone to help us. The same server approached us to check us out because the manager and others were«busy» so I informed him that I did not want to order 2 meals and that he needed to correct my order before I pay. I only wanted to add a burger to my meal. I handed him the extra fry(it had been untouched) and he told me ”You could have just kept it”. I told him I didnt need the extra fry since I already had one but that I needed him to fix the incorrect order and not charge me for the complete meal. He then proceeded to tell me ”I dont know if I can do that”, in regards to fixing what he was going to charge me. I told him it was his mistake and not mine. He called the manager over and she told him ”You had my card, why didnt you just delete it”. Then when we asked to pay our orders separately he seemed frustrated so my coworker offered to pay for it all just to make it easier on him. The entire experience made us feel as though we werent appreciated as customers. The tone was set when the manager didnt clue her 2 servers in about us being on our lunch break and needing quick service. They were slow and unorganized and we were worried the entire lunch that we would be late getting back to work, which we were. I wish the experience could have been better but it looks like the location needs better management and training.

cheap quick good food. I always go late night, service is good to me but i can see where some people would be turned off. The waiters are chill? i guess. but i get some good service. Their really laid back and honest lol but overall the food is worth to go

The only reason why I even come back to this lousy location is because its the closest one to me, and my husband… If you want slow service, horrible customer service, but decent food at pretty good price you can come here. Just don’t expect your food quickly, so I wouldn’t come here if you are on a time crunch. There are only maybe 3 other tables occupied, but we have been waiting about 20 minutes for our food, and it took them 10 minutes to even bring us our waters… simple water… really? Whoever is the GM of this store is should be ashamed of themselves. They really need to work on the staff that they hire to uphold the«Steak n Shake» legacy. It is saddening actually…

The service is absolutely terrible. Took 20 mins just to take our order, and another 15 minutes to get our food. Only took 10 mins to eat, so definitely not an overall fast service The saving grace is the shakes are pretty decent, all at a dirt cheap price. Well, I guess you get what you pay for. Recommend to take the drive through. Maybe that will be faster.

The handwritten sign on the door said«short staffed, be patient». I sat at the bar since it was just me. Sitting beside me at the bar was what appeared to be an employee who was off work or a friend of the staff. I counted about 6 employees who were working come by and visit her and her younger sister. Kind of odd since they were«short staffed». Anyway, my server was Corinna and she greeted me with a smile and took my order and brought me my drink in about 2 – 3 minutes. So after an 14 minute wait, my food came out. Not exactly my idea of «fast-food». The burger was warm, not hot and the fries were about the same. The food could have cooled sitting in the window but not sure since there were several orders up at the same time. I finally saw who appeared to be a manager since he came out of the back with keys strapped to his belt and his hands in his pocket come check out the front end after about 25 minutes. The food was about what I expected but not up to regular Steak and Shake prior visits. There were lots of employees and they were all busy but also lots of wasted motions and lots of talking. Anyway, the bright spot of the visit was Corinna. She came to check on me and was diligent in her service. She definitely needs to be working at a better restaurant where she can make more money. I have to rate the visit a three but would rate Corinna a six it there were that many stars.

I was next door in the adjacent shopping center and hadn’t had breakfast yet so I stopped into Steak ‘n Shake. I ordered the sausage and cheese scramble. It was very tasty. Service was prompt and courteous.
