I was surprised there was a sushi and ramen place in front of Arlington High(after living all these years in Arlington). My boyfriend and I were recommended the Shoyu ramen with the Alaskan Sushi rolls on the side. The ramen was ok as a basic first thing but the Alaskan rolls were delicious that we had to get more. Our waitresses was very patient and attentive recommending us food as first timers. The restaurant was very clean and tidy when we got there but I believe it was because they were closing in a hour. Everything is priced fairly, will have to come back again and try more from their menu!

This place is accross a high school and is probably were they get most of their business from. The Ramen wasn’t all that, coworkersand I were kind of dissappinted. I would stick to the Sushi. I don’t see myself coming back anytime soon lol

My sister and I have visited this place pretty regularly for about a year. Our server has always been Maria. I don’t know if this is because she’s the ONLY one, or if we’re just lucky to have her every time. The service is always excellent. As a vegetarian, sometimes when I go to a place that doesn’t expressly cater to herbivores, it can be a challenge to find waitstaff that are knowledgeable enough about the menu and ingredients to make a good and viable recommendation. Not the case here. Although you will need to ask for item descriptions since they are not listed in the menu, have no fear! This young lady knows the menu backwards and forwards, and she will take fantastic care of you. She has always been ready to accomodate my veggie needs, and make new suggestions in accordance. And while I can make no comment on their sushi, as I’ve only eaten the veg variety myself(still yummy… and beautiful, if that matters), I do enjoy the many types of ramen and udon noodle soups that are offered, and the yakisoba was really great as well. Always get the spicy sauce!

This would have to be the worst ramen joint I have ever been. The miso ramen taste exactly like the ramen package I buy at Walmart for .25cents… I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody. The only good thing about the ramen was the corn. The pork was over cooked and I didn’t finish it. The only reason I gave one star was because I had to. But they sure do have good service.

In the words of my baby daddy, Gordon Ramsay– Damn, Damn, Damn. I was excited. ramen in Arlington. It was a major let down. Was a weekday, and there was one other table, but it still took forever, for everything. To be greeted, to get drinks, take the order, get the food, refills, check, bring my change. no sense of urgency even when I said we were on our lunch break. She was friendly. My coworkers never had ramen before, and I raved about it– but warned them this was the first time trying this spot. I opted for beef shoyu with an extra egg half. The broth was so very bland. I asked for chili paste or something g to flavor it up and they brought out the«house spicy sauce». Its an odd color and the server said it was made from jalapeño seeds. Interesting. The ramen definitely needed it. The beef was tough– not the tender, thin slices I’m used too. This is probably why the prices are so cheap. Also ask what’s in each plate, there are no details on the menu. I haven’t been back since.

If you are looking for cheap Japanese cuisine this is the place to go! It is located in the same strip as Bethany’s and is Infront of the high school. Honestly the food is alright. It barely cured my Japanese food craving, but hey it did! For the price the food is great! If you are looking for authentic sushi and super high quality sashimi and sushi rolls, this may not be the best option but the staff here is very nice. The ramen and other foods that aren’t sushi are alright too, it isn’t very authentic either but cheap and filling!

I liked this place. I was looking for somewhere quiet and calm for lunch after a long night of studying. Tv was on, but it’s okay bc I like watching the news. The ramen was decent. I had the shoyu ramen. It had alot of bamboo shoots, but still good. Not much flavor but it filled me up and I was satisfied. I’ll try a different one next time :-) I had the caterpillar roll and the California handroll. They were pretty cheap, and I can’t complain. I liked both a lot. Would order these again:-) Will come back for sure, they have a lot to offer and want to try different things. The server was really helpful, nice, and friendly. Restaurant is really clean too:-)

This is our first visit. Located across the street from a school and around the corner from UTA. We went on a Thursday night and there were only a few people there. A few take outs came in. The staff appeared to only be two people. Server and cook. They were able to keep up. The menu seems to be split in three groups. Sushi, plates, ramen. The sushi bar did not have seating. They can accommodate a good size crowd in different sections. Service was friendly and efficient. Very nice peeps. Servings were proportionate to the price. Good variety of sushi(that is what we ate). Flavors we’re not as eventful as some other experience we have had. I think they would be great for a person who wants a milder experience. The tempura fillings may be prepackaged or not solid meats. I.e. Crab fried and sliced crab meat. It was still tasty. Very casual and comfortable environment. No cosy booths or dim lit area. We will come back. They are only 14 months into this. Hope they can continue with a loyal customer base.

Hm. In very few words: awesome service, awesome prices, almost-awesome food and atmosphere. Elaborating on all that a bit, I was honestly pleasantly surprised by Sushi & Ramen. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is spacious and nice inside. Our waiter was really attentive and willing to provide guidance when asked, and just generally super nice. Prices were very competitive, surprisingly competitive. No complaints there at all, and it’s a primary draw in me always wanting to come back. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken and avocado, and received a lot more chicken than expected and what looked like a full avocado(in slices) for something like $ 5 at dinner. Woah. The chicken and salad were just served on chopped lettuce with sauces on the side, but still. I do have to knock a star because my wife wasn’t quite as satisfied with her order, which seems to mirror some of the reactions here. I won’t speak to food I haven’t had myself, and so I’m just going to have to try out the entire menu one meal at a time.

Nice selection of ramen and friendly staff. I’ve been a few times and will probably go again. It’s a fine place to have lunch.

Visited this restaurant after driving by it many times and was very impressed on the cleanliness of the establishment. Unfortunately, the food was very sub par. The seaweed salad was pretty good(fresh) but the sashimi salad was not what I was expecting. It was 2 pieces of salmon, snapper, and shrimp(with shell pieces stuck to it) over iceberg lettuce. The miso soup is nothing to rave about as well. The service was very good.

I was excited to hear about this place from a coworker. She said it had decent sushi so I was excited to have a good place nearby. It’s in an older strip center that looks a little run down but inside its clean, well kept, and neatly decorated. I had the volcano roll and the tuna sashimi. They were very reasonably priced, however, the food was subpar. The presentation was nice and liked the To-go containers but volcano roll’s sauce had too much mayonnaise in it and was just not very good overall. The sashimi… I love fresh tuna but had to stop eating after the first bite. It seemed that it was marinated in lemon juice and it was very fishy. Overall, I gave it a 3 because the hostess was very amicable and décor/cleanliness was good but food not so much. Next time I’ll spend the extra money to go elsewhere.

I’m not reviewing the ramen as I stopped in for lunch and had one of the lunch specials. The dining area is very clean with a cute atmosphere, the staff is helpful and friendly, and they have some really nice options for lunch. I had the tiger roll. It was well made and presented well. I’ll be back to try more.

My fiancé and I were looking for a new ramen and sushi place and stumbled upon this place. Very very moderately priced. I didn’t see anything on the menu over $ 10.00. We ordered a Shrimp Tempura roll and a Tiger Roll. Both were delivered very quickly. The host even brought out a complimentary roll she wanted us to try. Our main course was the ramen soup. My fiancé ordered the Beef Miso and I ordered the Pork Kimichi Ramen. Both were excellent. The beef almost fell apart in your mouth. The pork was a little tough but overall not bad. We will be going back very soon. The place was very clean and it had a nice atmosphere.

Sushi and Ramen Japanese restaurant sits in a strip center next to Thai Basil and across from Arlington High School. Inside is very spacious. My husband wanted something different so he went here to give it a try. There is a variety of sushi, teriyaki, soups, and ramen. It’s reasonably priced as well. I don’t think I seen anything over $ 12. They had a chicken teriyaki special for $ 5, which is what my daughter got. The chicken was tough and I didn’t like the teriyaki sauce. It came with white rice and that’s all she ate. My son got shrimp fried rice. The rice tasted weird I can’t even describe the taste of it. Definitely not what fried rice was supposed to taste like. The only ramen we ever had experience with is insta ramen. Lol. So the waitress was incredibly nice and explained what each dish had in it for my husband. There was no descriptions on the menu. I already knew I wanted the kimchi pork ramen. My husband ordered the shrimp tempura roll. It was pretty good. My ramen was okay. There wasn’t much pork in it and the pieces I did have were really tough. The taste of the broth wasn’t bad but like I said I have nothing to compare it too. It didn’t blow me away. My husband got the beef shoyu ramen and didn’t like it. I’ll spare you the words he told me to describe the taste of it. I don’t think we will be back.

For a first experience, I was pretty impressed. I went with three other friends, and I ordered the pork kimchi ramen and a New York roll because they had a special on it that day. I got the entire ramen as is except without bamboo because I don’t like the stuff. Our waitress brought us a spicy sauce to mix into our ramen and that was the cherry on top of a decent meal! The sushi was good. I also had a try of the crunchy roll and the tempura udon soup(surprisingly very flavorful!), and those were tasty as well. Price-wise it was pretty cheap. The ramen was $ 7.50 and the sushi roll was $ 7. The service was nice. There were only 3 or 4 tables occupied and 1 server and she was always there when we needed something. She even gave us a complimentary green tea ice cream that tasted a bit odd at first but it grew on you. Overall, I would say 4⁄5 stars because I’ve never actually tried any other ramen place so I’m holding out 1 star on reasonable doubt. Other than that, I would definitely recommend and come back!

Décor: 3.5÷5 Service: 4⁄5 Food: 1⁄5 Good, friendly service but… Prices for sushi and ramen are competitive however the quality isn’t up to par. I had the Miso and Pork Kimchi Ramen. I wasn’t a fan of the noodles. The pork slices were tough and unappetizing. The broth had taste but nothing special. I wouldn’t come back for the ramen.

I really love the ramen here. I usually get the pork kimchi ramen, and maybe some handrolls depending on how I’m feeling. Atmosphere: it is very roomy and clean. I didn’t expect the place to be so big when I first walked in. Service: I’ve been here twice and I got the same server both times, so I’m guessing there’s only one server. She’s very nice and knows the answer to the questions I had. She doesn’t write down the orders but still get it right. Food: fried gyoza, miso ramen, pork kimchi ramen, Philadelphia handroll, spicy tuna handroll, and California handroll. I didn’t really like the gyoza, kind of had this weird taste… My friend really liked the miso ramen. We’ve also tried miso ramen at a place called ‘Yama sushi’ but this place beats it, and that place is actually a legit Japanese place. I’m obsessed with the pork kimchi ramen. It has the right amount of spicyness and they also have a spicy sauce to make it spicier if you wanted. The handrolls are okay but they’re very cheap. I haven’t really tried any sushi rolls but I shall try it next time. Overall: I would recommended this place to my friends. It’s also BYOB, so we just brought Bethany’s drink in here. Awesome place and everyone should try it at least once, at least their ramen.

After hearing many, many terrible things about Sushi & Ramen I felt the need to give it a try. How bad could it be? Friends and I came here on a very quiet afternoon to grab a quick lunch. I had the tuna tower which was the strangest tuna tower I’ve ever had. The tuna was mushy and did not taste fresh. My friends had the spider roll and spicy miso ramen and they were both pretty disappointed. The service is very friendly and fast. We let our server know we were in a bit of a rush and she took care of us quickly. The restaurant is right across the street from Arlington High School so it does get crowded with high schoolers from time to time. This place is definitely not a place I would visit twice nor recommend to others.

Was craving for soup with my friend, we just sat in the car and checked on here to see what was nearby. BYOB Good ramen — we had pork kimchi & the shoyu ramen. The description isn’t on the menu but we asked our waitress. Kinda just gave whatever a try. Surprisingly one bowl can feed two people. We were pretty full and ended up taking the dragon rolls to go . Ramen was really good, not too blan not too salty. It wasn’t watered down. Love the fish cake ! We also asked for no bamboos. I highly recommend this place for ramen. Just would be a thumbs up if they add descriptions for future customers. They had a few selections for udon noodles as well. I’m a noodle person, I get tired of eating phở sometimes and this is where I would get my other noodle quick fix :) Fried ice cream & mochi available, we were too full to try, next time we will & I’ll edit my review until then.
