The actual name of the place is the Mass Ave Laundromat, which shows up as closed on Unilocal.Don’t know why it says the place is closed. It isn’t, but it should be. Don’t think the machines have EVER been cleaned. The place is disgusting, half of the machines don’t work, and I won’t go there again. The only reason I gave it one star is because I couldn’t give none.

New ownership… And the New one is Mass Ave Laundromat… And the machines are broken and no one around to help and clothes gets locked in the machines. And no number posted… Worst experience ever.

My washer broke, so I was forced to hit the laundromat. As strange places to wash your clothes go, this one was alright. The washers worked well, $ 2.50 a wash. Dryers say 25 cents for 5 minutes, but that was the shortest 5 minutes I ever saw. No matter, my loads were all dry with $ 3. Not much space to fold, not the cleanest, but it will get the job done.
So, I’ve been putting off my super laundry day for a while(like all the sheet sets, comforters, towels, and dirty clothes in the house) Read the reviews for this place and figured I’d give it a try since it was pretty close by. So first of all: I drove up and down Mass Ave 3 times before I finally noticed some washing machines in one of the windows. Of course, the cars behind me didn’t appreciate my 3MPH drive by, so I had to go up and turn around again. Why is there NOSIGN? Really difficult to find some place on Mas Ave with NOSIGN. I wish you were ‘The Found Laundromat’. Sigh. Then, after 2 more trips up and down the street looking for parking to no avail, I decided to move on. Really didn’t feel like carrying 90 pounds of laundry 3 blocks in 20 degree weather. It would be nice to have an awesome laundromat close by but there are a ton of other laundromats that are much less stressful to get to. If I ever actually make it in the door, I’ll update my review.

Since I’m a real man, I usually end up doing the laundry in our household. For some weird reason, I don’t mind doing laundry. I can’t stand doing dishes, but laundry don’t bother me too too much. We have launge facilities in our building, but Found Sock is right across the street, and quite frankly, it’s a lot less stressful for me to hang out and get all of it done rather than run all the way down from the 3rd floor to the basement every time I have to switch a loadski out. Conveniently located across the street from Dagg’s Deli(cop my review, ese !!), where you can pass the time by buying a scratch ticket(or 10 $ 10 ones as the guy in front of me in line bought) or a Gatorade and bag of Doritos. Olympic PIzza is nearby too, so if you want more than a snack you can have a slivvy of pie or a sub while you wash the whites. As I discovered tonight, there is even a little area(ahree-er) out back with a bench and a little garden-y type set-up and a fence separating the Sock from the neighboring yard. Nice touch, definitely putting it over the edge for a 5th star, mmm hmm.
