Love to head to Front Page for Caps games. The $ 2 shot after scores creates a lively atmosphere — just please don’t jinx us by ordering them pre-goal! Great game-time specials. Their fries are Boardwalk-like, which is one of my favorite kinds. Some bartenders are more personable than others but everyone has been courteous and responsive. Not many veggie options but they do have a veggie burger that is pretty good — order without bun or cheese. If you’re a caps fan, definitely try it out.

This place is kept afloat by NSF folks like me who are too lazy to walk to a better restaurant. We have quite a few happy hours here, as well as dinners for large groups after a busy day of panels. The food is terrible. Their hamburgers have no flavor. Nachos come with caked-on cheese. The entire place smells of beer and urine. The only saving grace is perhaps the quick service(not surprising since there’s not a lot of folks that go here), and the fact that I haven’t gotten food poisoning yet.

I like The Front Page. When I’m in Arlington to socialize this is pretty much guaranteed to be on the list of stops. The bar staff is very friendly and I’ve come to know them well over the past couple of years. The owner of the place is constantly making his rounds to ensure that your visit is a good one. When you visit you must try the lemon pepper wings with ranch – amazing! The Chicken tenders are also a major attraction. Great spot to catch sporting events – lots of flat screens all over the place. I hear that they’ve got a really good brunch going on there as well.

Stopped by here for an after-party for an event. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is great for a sports bar. Not obnoxiously rowdy but the enthusiasm is very lively. The food was so-so. I started off with nachos and requested no chili or chicken, but they still charged me for the meat which was kind of a bummer. The quality of the food itself was meh. Chips were soggy and not because they were buried under salsa. The plain ones were chewy, not crunchy… then the sandwiches came out. There wasn’t much wow factor to the food flavor wise. Could add more veg options too– but who am i kidding– its a sports bar and does that well.

If you’re looking for a good bar to watch hockey or football or any other sports game, this is a great place. And the menu has a lot of options. Although, I do think they could step up their game in regards to quality. Everything tastes good but lacks some flavor. They’re almost there food wise though. And as far as bar food goes, I say it’s comparable.

I’ve been to Front Page a few times for lunch. My friends had been raving about the blackened chicken fettuccine so I decided to try it. We sat at the bar. After an unusually long wait our food came out. The food was good overall except for the BIG pool of oil that came with the pasta(see pic). I’d go back to this place but not sure if id have the same meal. I was slightly disappointed.

Sunday brunch: $ 18 all you can eat buffet. AND with that, mimosas are only $ 1! There’s a wide variety on the buffet, from a plethora of fruits and salads to your breakfast staples. There’s also an omelet station. And go on a Sunday so you can slide on over to the bar to watch some football!

Okay, Front Page. I have eaten here three times in the last month and each time has ranged from 2 to 3.5 stars. Food is decent for the price. Beer selection is okay. Location is convenient. Service: mixed. 1st visit: Service was okay. Waiter was nice enough and pretty attentive. 2nd visit: Waiter paid us a ton of attention in the beginning then forgot we existed. 3rd visit: We walked in 5 minutes early. 5 minutes. The host/waiter literally looked right at us and said absolutely nothing. We waited 3 minutes then decided to leave. He then proceeded to chase us and said«We open in like… 2 minutes if you want to wait.» Nah, bruh. That’s okay. I used to be a waitress. The least you could do is acknowledge us and say something like, «Sorry. We open in 5 minutes and I’m finishing up some stuff. Would you mind waiting a few?» Instead he looked at us like we are crazy people and said nada. Two for you, Front Page Arlintgton.

Had to revise my 2-star to a 1-star. The food is still pretty beat but the most deplorable thing now is the fact that they charge $ 7 for a Yuengling while charging $ 4 for a Miller/Bud Lite… I guess the owner thinks his customers are all morons that think Yuengling is some amazing craft beer. Without their bartenders bringing in industry regulars this place would be out of business like all the other crummy restaurants in Ballston.

I’ve been here a few times for happy hour. The drinks were fine and as well as the appetizers. Today I went to lunch with a few co-workers and I had one of their lunch specials, Rainbow Trout with provencal sauce, rice, and veggies of the day. Everything was delicious and my co-workers enjoyed their meals too.

I only give it 2 stars because they have really good happy hour deals. But the bartenders are not friendly. They act like they’d rather be somewhere else. I still begrudgingly go there sometimes still for happy hour. But if they were friendly I’d be in there other times also. Find another job if you’re so unhappy.

You have a lot of drinking options in the area, no reason to chose this place. Myself and two co-workers went in for an early happy hour. Two bartenders on staff, not very busy. Order three beers. We chatted a bit. Our empty glasses sat on the bar for awhile. Tried to flag down a bartender… they are only 5 feet away, so this should be a fairly easy task. Nope. Then he stood right in front of us and ignored us completely. Another bartender poured us our beers and we drank them. So far this is what I am assuming bar expects patrons to do. Order a beer and drink it. Apparently between ordering a beer and… I don’t know, maybe breathing wrong… we had committed some grave sin in the process. We got our check, finished our beers(the spaces at the bar were still half empty), and were finishing our conversation when the bartender says«Right, don’t worry about, you just sit there and go on talking without buying anything.» WHATTHEHELL? Who stays in business that way?

Had Mother’s Day brunch reservation. Reach there and wait 15 minutes at the host station. No one to acknowledge our presence or greet us. Leave my group at host station, check out the Bloody Mary station which seemed interesting. Return. Still no one. Well they don’t seem to want our business. We leave. BTW the place was very warm and stuffy, either from all the brunch cooking going on or the air conditioning was out.

I’m a bartender at a local bar around the corner from Front Page. I come to this establishment on a weekly basis. I know many of the bartenders there and usually enjoy the time spent with no issues whenever I come. What happened tonight, however, is reason enough for me never to go back. Ever. My bar closes at 12am on Sundays and it takes us another hour to close down for the night. My fiancé, who also works at my place of employment as a DJ, graciously offered to go to Front Page first to order food before the kitchen closed. The bartender on staff, Jesse, took his food and drink order. Shortly after the food had arrived, my fiancé asked the bartender for ketchup. Ten minutes go by. Jesse made several drinks for other customers and even stopped to chat with his girlfriend. I understand how hectic and frustrating it can be to be the only bartender working in a place that generally has decent volume on a Sunday night, but the response my fiancé received from Jesse was the most rude and disrespectful response I’ve ever heard. Jesse proceeded to insinuate how rude«people» are to his girlfriend, who happened to be sitting right next to my fiancé. After he mentioned how he thought customers believed that bartenders were just servants, he knowingly glared at my fiancé. When my fiancé attempted to ask what the problem was, he was answered with more rude comments. Deciding to not escalate the situation, my fiancé goes up to the bouncer/manager to explain what happened, ask for boxes and another round of drinks while saying he didn’t want the rude bartender, Jesse, handling his order any longer. The bouncer/manager proceeds to retrieve the boxes and the drinks. Jesse immediately comes up to my fiancé and throws the drinks out right in front of his face. He then says, «You still have to pay for those.» Even after all this, my fiancé goes up to Jesse to attempt to smooth out the situation. My fiancé says to Jesse«Hey, we had a miscommunication and I’m sorry about that. I still tipped you well and I just want to be cool. My fiancé works around the corner and we’re here all the time.» What was Jesse’s response? «I don’t need you f***ing tip. Get the f*** out of my face.» As a bartender and someone who has been in the service industry for 10+ years, I don’t believe this is the appropriate response nor should this person still have a job after such a comment. To top it all off, after cursing at a patron, Jesse proceeds to tell my fiancé, «I’ll never serve your type.» My fiancé is middle eastern, Persian to be exact, and the malice from the bartender and jarring from his girlfriend that he received seemed to be racist. As someone who has been coming to Front Page for 7+ months, I’m sad to say that after the blatant way that my fiancé was disrespected I will never give my money to the horrible staff of this establishment again. If I could give less than a star, they’d be in the negative.

Most restaurants in Arlington are packed on a Saturday night, but not this place, so we should have known better. Highly recommend you stay away. I was with a large party and they were able to accommodate us which was nice but the food was hit and miss. Dry wings good fried pickles; good French onion soup reheated trout. Food isn’t cooked fresh it tastes reheated and its dried out. Most like their drinks.

Me and my brother stop by here after church. Came here around 1:40pm after worship. This place has a good Sunday brunch. They have roast beef was soo good, make you own omelette station, ask to make you new scrambled eggs, sausage and fresh fruit. Alaskan smoked salmon and more. on the water melon you need to get in the beginning. I’m not a bloody merry person. But there a very good bloody merry station to build on. Also they offer hollandaise sauce. Second best thing to Eggs Benedict. Yes I like to come back here again.

Ok, the restaurant — not entirely impressed. But I am impressed that my boyfriend surprisingly made last minute dinner reservations for Valentine’s day. We originally planned on going to Medium Rare, but they were booked. And he booked reservations here so I thought whyyy not… The food was meh. I ordered the salmon which was good.(no complaints.) But my bf on the other hand ordered what seemed to be a day old blackened chicken fettuccine! The chicken and sausage were either old and cold or extremely overcooked. It was haaard. The service was poor. Servers were walking past me giggling. I was a bit overdressed for such a humble atmosphere.(but it was valentines day and we were going out after so what the heck) Oh, and apparently, they had a valentines day special where the lady gets a rose and a gift box. Cute. But I didn’t mine until I exited that’s when the waitress ran after me and said shes only doing it because her manager told her to. Well geeeeez rude, thanks. Happy valentines day to you too.

Came here for regular brunch on a Saturday afternoon. I was hoping they had their Bloody Mary bar on Saturday but they didn’t): oh well. Came with a huge group but there were a lot of tables open. I got the pancakes with bacon and a side of fries. My bf got the steak and eggs, which came with broccoli and the best hashbrowns ever. My pancakes were perfect, light and fluffy and definitely filling. The fries were a little seasoned, crispy and hot! The steak was cooked as requested. The hashbrowns aren’t like the patty kind of hashbrowns. They were more like cut up fried potatoes, with onions and seasoning, BUTTHEYWERESOMOUTHWATERING. Im not from the area but I’d go back just for the hashbrowns. Also, free refills on coffee!

I was pretty disappointed with the food at the Front Page. I ordered the Page One burger(8 oz ground sirloin) with the standard toppings — onion, lettuce, ketchup. The burger was charred(and I asked for medium well, but not burnt) and fell apart. The bread was so old that it flaked apart. It was definitely not a fresh meal. We were seated in the booths in the way back(even though the rest of the restaurant was pretty much empty that Sunday morning) and weren’t really checked on for a long time. The service was really slow. This wouldn’t be my first choice bar to visit in the future. And next time, I’d only order a drink. I wouldn’t want to eat here again.
