My husband and kids love the jerky. Not a pretty store but my family still loves to drive out here and get meat.

I’m reviewing them based on their beef jerky. My moms students know I’m notorious for buying off their bags in an instant, because I love their beef jerky! My favorite is the hot peppered one. I am very picky about my meat, and when it comes to jerky I hate when it tastes sweet. This beef jerky does not have that sweet taste, just meat tastiness! I found out their deli is only 45 minutes away from where I live, so I am planning to drive over and order so much jerky! I will update this review after that. Also, they do have a website, but it isn’t working… More of an excuse to drive there.

This place is terrible! Ordered pastrami, no choice of bread, nothing but three skimpy deli thin slices of flavorless mystery meat on a role that was microwaved to attempt to freshen a very stale tough role of very poor quality. Mustard bulk container squirted the vinegar separated, only choice was this yellow mustard… fries were hot but with so much season salt on them they were not edible. Stay away, I know I won’t go back!

Went here for the first time the other day. It was actually better than I expected. They didn’t have a huge variety but what they did have was good. I like the fact that they do all the meat themselves. The lady who helped us was very nice and attentive. She knew we have never been there so she let us sample whatever we wanted to try. I ended up getting the pastrami and my wife ended up getting the shredded beef. I like the fact that we do our own toppings. The only problem, by the time we got home my wife’s bread was soggy due to the fact her beef had lots of moisture. Next time we will get everything on the side until we get home.

I’ve been here 3 times last week. I’m so glad too. I’ve had two sandwiches *drool*(turkey & tritip) & homemade macaroni salad. Their homemade beef jerky is delicious! I also ordered 8 lbs of tri-tip(cooked) for a party on Saturday & everyone enjoyed it very much. Right now I’m enjoying the leftovers. Raven’s deli has the best prices for a lot of meat(compared to the competition in local bbq joints)! I would definitely order again! I would give 5 stars if they had better bread for their sandwiches when dining in. Get better bread Ravens and get a perfect score! (Sorry no pictures to post because I just inhale the food when ordering) :-)

This review is from my husband’s perspective since I normally don’t like Beef Jerky. But we stopped at Raven’s Deli on the way to Sequoia National Park, and he purchased a few different styles of beef jerky, including teriyaki flavored jerky. He enjoyed it. The service was lackluster though.

Very good food, $ 5.25 per sandwich, tri-tip, pulled pork, beef or turkey. Really enjoyed it, highly recommended!

THis is based only on the beef jerky. It is some of the Best Beef Jerky Ever. It makes me sad that I can’t buy it in Los Angeles… Beef Jerky around here sucks. Once I phoned in and ordered the big bag and had it mailed to me. I was happy with my big bag o beef… till it was gone :-(

Best tritip in town. During the holidays, order a deep pit turkey. You’ll thank me later!

Raven’s Deli is DELICIOUS!!! The deep pit turkey is amazing and their sub rolls are so soft. The deli is small and family owned, it’s a great place to go for lunch. The tri-tip is very tasty, and the deep pit beef is very moist and flavorful. Highly recommend.

Coming from the bay area, there is no place to get a tri tip deep pit beef pack sandwhich. I love that you get to construct your sub with whatever condiments once you get it. The meat is juicy, tender, and deelicious. Not to mention melts in your mouth instead of wearing out your jaw, Raven’s is a must. You’ll even wanna bring home some jerky. Cheers!

Great food. Their deep bit beef is terrific. The person who calls the food ‘ghastly’ I’d hate to see what they call actual food. All I can imagine is someone who is a ‘uppity’ restaurant type who doesnt know real food when they see it. This isnt a bay area snob restaurant, this is a ‘home town, family restaurant’ with REAL food.

Once upon a lunchtime dreary, while I pondered weak and weary… Indeed, I was pondering driving out to Harris Ranch for a top-notch steak luncheon when my coworker recommended the Raven, invoking the magic words ‘tri-tip’. Thus I hove off onto yet another fools errand. Upon arrival, the line was almost to the door, but moving swiftly. The dining area was about 80% capacity. All good signs. Everyone seemed to be ordering the various meats on sub rolls. The sandwiches came plain, and there was a generous self-serve fixings bar stocked with quality ingredients. Both shredded cheddar and a shredded mexican white cheese. Now things were looking real good. I eschewed the bun and went straight to the business at hand. One pound of pit beef and one pound of tri-tip please. Served promptly and with a smile by the cheery and helpful young lady behind the counter. The food was ghastly. The pit beef, although moist, resembled my mother’s goulash, or, more correctly, what my mother called goulash. The tri-tip seemed as if the chef originally intended to make beef jerky, but remembered it was to be served warm minutes prior to completion. I have actually had packaged jerky that was juicier than that tri-tip. In either dish, the only flavorant seemed to be salt. I mindlessly pounded back the pit beef purely to sate my gnawing hunger, and took the tri-tip to throw at the menacing feral dog at the Tachi reservation. Eat at the Raven? Nevermore.

Raven’s Deli is awesome! They are great for lunch to get an awesome pulled pork sandwich… but they are best for their catering and take out. If you need to feed a large group of people inexpensively with great food… Raven’s is your place. Order ahead of time and they can have large trays of cole slaw, potatoes, pulled pork, chicken … you name it. Their food is awesome and reasonably priced. I’ve also been told that their whole smoked turkey is great for Thanksgiving dinner.

They are known for the BBQ style meats. It was a little salty for my taste, but I am not one to turn down BBQ pork when offered. It’s a hometown favorite and I can get behind that.
