Ben Joy Nursery

Great place with great prices. It’s a growers nursery so no fancy pottery or anything, just lots and lots of plants.
We had a huge backyard to landscape and being new to the central coast weren’t knowledgeable about what would thrive in Paso Robles so we studied up a bit and took our list to Ben Joy. I brought a copy of the list for the nursery person and he walked us all around the place showing us what each plant looked like and gave his opinion on suitability. They didn’t have everything on the list but that’s because they only have plants that survive in our area (as opposed to the big hardware stores) in those cases we were given substitution ideas.
In the end we ended up with two pickup truck beds full — all sizes from 1 gallon to 24″ boxes. They’re in the ground now and doing well which is good, but they did tell us if we have any problems to let them know and they would replace anything.

This is a hidden gem. Loads of plants, told Steve I wanted drought resistant, good for butterflies and hummingbirds and I got 11 plants for less than $ 50. Great prices, customer service and selection. LOVE it and recommend it to anyone.

Great place to get your plants, good prices and John stands by his plants. Had a bare root that did not come out and he replaced it at no charge.

Ben joy nursery is a great place John the owner is very helpful and has a bunch of material to choose from a little ways out of town but worth the drive prices can’t be beat family owned and operated

Went here looking for a tree. The man there did not try to help me at all. He pointed the way to the trees and then when I walked the mile back to where he was to ask about the one I liked he treated me like I was an idiot and said that the tree had already rooted through the box it was in so moving it would kill it. He should really learn some people skills since he is working with customers.

I have been going to Ben Joy for more than 5 years now and it just keeps getting better! They have a great selection, their staff is helpful and experienced and THE PRICES CAN’T BE BEAT!
I used to live nearby but have moved to Modesto and now Bakersfield and I still make the drive to Ben Joy to stock up on all my plants. The opportunity to buy great plants at truly wholesale prices can’t be beat!

Just came from BenJoy Nursery, and what a great experience! My husband and I are landscaping our yard in Templeton, and Ben was happy to get out his Sunset book and help us pick out plants that would work for us. He walked us around the grounds and pointed out our options. He made sure we knew what plants would thrive in our yard. The prices at this nursery are incredibly affordable, and this place is well worth the drive no matter where you are coming from.

This is a great place to go for plants! We put in a whole yard this summer, going from an ickky dust bowl to a lovely yard. I shopped at local nurseries and was shocked to find such a huge price difference when I finally found BenJoy. Their plants are amazing and the prices are super! I got the best curly willow tree at a price that was practically free because the owner wanted to get them moved out. My mom bought TWO of them! The owners are super nice. One day i went to get a plant and the owner (Robin) was leaving. She let me drive over to pick up my selection and pay right there at the driveway! Her husband is also super helpful and gives great advice on how to treat the plants to make them grow well.
