I just left this Carl’s jr. We went through the drive thru and of course there was no sauce. So we had to pull over and go back. Then as i was eating a taco I found a hair. Very disgusting.

I mean it’s a fast food place, but I got the ½ pound bacon«thick» burger. It was more like a regular bacon crap burger. Do yourself a favor, go up the road and hit up in n out. At least you won’t get ripped off. It wasn’t the service. The service was good. It was the cooks. It wasn’t even that busy to screw this up.

I had this idea in my head this location was open 24 hours. It was the darkest building in the lot when I pulled in around one a.m. So what time do we close famous star?

First time ordering their«no meat burger» and I can’t say I was impressed but I also wasn’t disappointed. A couple things they could have done to make this burger as good as In n Out’s grilled cheese and worth coming back for would be to toast the buns and let the cheese melt. I love their jalapeño poppers and their bean burritos.

I went inside and ordered the special on the WINDOW2 bacon Western Cheeseburgers for $ 5.50. I then say Here is the app for for $ 1 off. She looks like she has never seen the Carls Jr app! I say you just click on the use now button(duh)! She does then rings it up as like $ 8. wtf? I say the special is 2 for $ 5.50! She gets a smirk on her face and says but you wanted to use the app! I said soooo. She says well you only get 1 deal and smirks through this whole conversation. I say if that was the case you should have explained it to me since I ordered the special on the damn window! She says too bad you used the app! So it was essentially twice the advertised price! I said I want a supervisor now! Now had she not been so nasty I most likely would have dealt with it and chalked it up whatever but her attitude was so rude!!! and when I fell like she was down right cheating me, I blew a gasket. Luckily someone came over and took over when I said I wanted a manager and a full refund to go somewhere else. Bad service is all I can say! I would have been happy to call corporate and report the incident only she was the ONLY one not wearing a name badge! Really turned me off of Carls Jr!

Totally unfamiliar with the area(while passing through from San Luis Obispo to LA) I drove through and ordered a Turkey Burger(dry no condiments) and an iced tea. How could one screw up this simple order your are thinking? The burger had ketchup on it. But the worst deal was the plain, unsweetened iced tea had a VERYSTRONGTASTEOFMOLD. It was horrible. My mind searched for a few seconds to label the taste but there was NODOUBT that the tea itself(which is probably packaged in liquid form from Gold Peak) or the dispenser system(which dispenses the pre-brewed sludge) or if in fact it is brewed on site, something is amiss with their inspection/cleaning of the dispenser was NOTDONE properly. I took the time to find a phone number for the location to call them, as I was miles down the freeway(of course) before I realized this health hazard!!! The woman who answered the phone was less than enthusiastic but thanked me and apologized. No offer of recompense, not taking of my name or information. This location is NOT up to Carl’s usual standards. You risk your health by eating here!

The lady in the drive thru named Glenda was very rude, she rushed my order and we barley got to the speaker to order and I asked for a second to look well not even a few secs later«are you ready to order» I maybe got 30 secs to look at the menu before another«please make your order». The peoe in front of us made a huge order that was $ 70.00 worth and they took forever so I understand her drive thru line was backed up but there’s no need to rush me that fast, I didn’t get to even finish ordering I was so mad because she cut me off with my total. When I got to the window she told me my total I payed and she basically threw the back at my husband who was in the drivers side, I asked for barbecue sauce from the back and I got a prewrapped one. My order was wrong, my food wasn’t hot and my French fries weren’t even cooked through all the way you could tell they hadn’t been dropped long enough in the fryer. Hopefully next time will be better, unfortunately this is the only Carl’s jr in arroyo grande area so I don’t have much of a choice but to go back to this one

God forbid anyone here actually listens to the order being placed. NO, I don’t want to try your new double fudge brownie, NO, I don’t want to make it a combo, NO, I don’t care about super sizing anything, NO, I would not like to add a drink, and NO I would not like desert. If I wanted any of that cr#p, I would order it stupid. If you are through interrogating me maybe you can shut your mouth for a moment and take the order I came here to place. It’s no wonder that you never get what you ordered here, the employees have so many upselling scripts to remember they have no time to listen to the customer. Just another multi-billion dollar corporation so focused on the bottom line that the customer is of no importance.

The service is bad and God forbid you have an issue with your meal. The incompetent staff will make you run in circles. The heavy Hispanic lady with the thick accent working the night shift is the worst. She does the absolute minimum and runs an awful crew and forces the other crews to deal with her failures.

I am surprised by the negative reviews here. I actually like this food and the place itself is comfortable and clean. We also consistently get good service from the employees. Usually, I order my hamburger with extra lettuce and all that, and this place makes it really good. I far prefer this place to the In n Out that is also right here.

Probably the worst hamburger I’ve eaten in my 60+ years! And the worst fried zucchini ever! We frequently stop at the Carl’s Jr. in Carpenteria off the 101(Reynolds Ave. off ramp) — the basic hamburger is the best — so we thought we’d give the Arroyo Grande location a try. DON’T BOTHER!!! It’s not worth it … even the service is worse than mediocre … the young woman couldn’t even describe the differences in size in their burgers! I had the burger last night and I’m still annoyed at how terrible it was lol.

Nope. We’ve been here twice and both times we were unimpressed by the dirty floors, dirty high chairs, no soap in the bathroom dispensers. and so on. I ordered a chicken salad and literally got about one once of chicken, which for around six dollars, is just sad. Sorry for the bad review, but I won’t be coming here again :(

Stopped in today for a quick breakfast on my way home from work.(9−8−14). It was 635 in the morning and as I drove up in the parking lot all the lights were off except for a few inside. I wasn’t even sure if they were open. Drove up to the teller… All the ordering board lights were off as well. After I waited for a few, I was finally acknowledged. The lady wanted to know what I wanted to order. I told her I couldn’t even see the board and didn’t know if they were even open. She then turn the lights on. Kind of weird for a place that supposed to open at 6am. Then when I got my tater tots they were cold. Bleh

Where to begin? Everyone needs to have a consistent measure, a sort of ruler they can use to judge their experience and restaurant«A» with the exp. at restaurant«B». I rarely get an urge for a burger, but when I do, I check out the burger places. Some are average(think Burger King) and some are very good(like Hearst Ranch Burgers– OMG). The«$ 6 burger» at This Carls’ Jr does NOT fall between average and very good, sadly. Every time I’ve gone, I ask for a $ 6 burger freshly made. I have never been given one freshly made. I am no longer going there, ’cause«enough is too much», as a person from Brooklyn used to say, a la yogi berra. Sadly, I will take the 3 experiences I’ve had at this Carl’s and apply it to ALL the stuff they serve, although I’ve never ordered anything else there. So, caveat emptor, buyer beware. If you have an hour, go North on 101 to San Simeon and find out what a real burger tastes like at Hearst. If you only have 10 minutes or so and find yourself at this burger microwave joint, go to Orcutt Burger on Grand next to the burger king. It’ll be worth the detour!

I’ll start by saying i more than a little shocked at the number on bad review from previous poster’s –I’ve dined at this location about 5 times both for Breakfast and other hrs, and every time ive left perfectly happy –which I definitely cant say for the one in my town just a mile up the road. Every time I have visited both the dining area and restroom with clean –frequently checked on, and the counter person that took my order was extremely pleasant. I Love the Décor in the is location! have one seen a few other ones that have be re-deco’d in this manner –it has a pseudo 50ish look and feel with some old black and white photos of Carl’s Original location. Burgers have always been juice and fresh tasting –and they have some nice breakfast option, and LOVE the little Hash Brown bites!

I used to go to Carl’s Jr. mainly because of their fish tacos. Even though the fish was battered and fried, it seemed to be one of the least grease filled items on the menu. They have discontinued the fish tacos. When I get their ads in the mail, all I see are food items loaded with grease, dripping cheeses and not a whole lot of healthy choices. I recently heard that they also dropped a healthy salad item from their menu. No wonder kids are obese when the fast food restaurants push the calories on them and take away the less dangerous items off the menu. Shame on Carl’s Jr.

Blah, blah, blah — it’s a chain and u should know what you’re getting. That said — stopped in today for a quick bite. Nothing but dunces, honestly. If I order a burger and request that I want mustard and NOT ketchup or mayo, that DOESNOT mean I only want mustard. Now that I’m thinking about it, it’s really irritating me as I paid $ 12.05 for a kids meal and a cheeseburger with mustard — NOTHING else. When ordering here make sure you speak very slowly and don’t leave until you have verified your order. 2 Stars for this location.

The Carl’s Jr in Arroyo Grande is a fast food restaurant I could recommend. It was sparkling clean and the people were so friendly. It’s been years since I’ve eaten here and I had forgotten how good the chicken club sandwiches are. My new discovery was the chocolate chip cookies – yum!

So this was a pit stop on the way home from UCSB. My high school students wanted to check it out, and I wanted them to eat before driving for another 2 hours and stopping in Salinas. I normally do not give out 4 stars to fast food(acception IN and OUT or Rosco’s) but this place was clean, the person taking our order was patient with my hs kids, and our order was correct. The food came out(fresh batch of fries, tons of ketchup etc) and our burgers actually looked appetizing. Bathrooms were clean with plenty of TP.
