D K’s Donuts

Very nice service and very fresh donuts. Told the lady it was my dad’s birthday so she gave me a free jelly filled and some donut holes. Did I mention that they have lemon, raspberry and crème filled donut holes?! If you’re going to splurge on calories, this is the place. Be forewarned, cash only.

We are on a mission to find the best donuts in the area and I passed by this place today — didn’t even know it existed. It’s definitely lacking on the inside décor. There were boxes stacked up in view and employees sitting around drinking. There were no college kids on laptops hanging out doing work… in fact no one was sitting inside there (besides the employees) — not too welcoming.
The little women behind the counter was a little abrupt when we entered. «What do you want??» — without a hello or smile. It was our first time there and she was kind of rushing us along.
They have a lot of the same donuts as SLO donuts — crumb, buttermilk, maple and they come in at a close second to them but not quite as good. They are really fluffy and good! We paid $ 6.75 for ½ dozen — pretty good price!

DK donuts has the best donuts. They’re so fresh and tasty, definitely worth visiting. The owner is very friendly and even gave us a few free donut holes with our purchase. We will make this place one of our must visit places when we vacation in Pismo.

I usually don’t eat donuts, but my brother brought these over and I thought I’d try a couple holes. They were really good. No bad after-​taste.

Kids loved it my wife says there’s a little rancid oil aftertaste but she always says that I had the cinnamon roll and was pretty happy

These donuts are sooo good. Perfect texture and flavor and friendly service. You can’t go wrong with any of the donuts here.

The world’s best donuts! I no longer am able to have gluten in my diet so I am sad to say that these yummy fried balls of dough are something of the past for me. As for the rest of you, enjoy one for me!

I very rarely eat donuts but we wanted a treat for our road-​trip home. Found this place by Unilocaling what was nearby the freeway. The reviews are right on. Great service and excellent donuts! Cash only.

These are the best find. Our daughter turned 4 so we celebrated with donuts and these are to die for. The first time I’ve ever had filled donut holes. Fantastic! The maple custard was stuffed full.

I am not a donut expert — I save them for the occasional treat — but I have been around a few years and you can tell, just from looking at the display case, that these are some quality donuts.
I had several of the glazed donut holes — fresh, tasty and light — and a chocolate old fashioned, as good as any I’ve ever had. Much better than a nearby competitor and open early, as a donut shop should be.
Look forward to trying more kinds.

The next week: just tried the chocolate French Cruller — truly excellent; light and fluffy with plenty of tasty chocolate icing. Outstanding donuts and nice people!

Great donuts. My fritter was not over-​fried or greasy tasting which is a problem at a lot of shops. The lady there was very friendly and efficient. Also, donut holes with lemon jelly in them. Brilliant. And delicious.
