Although I was previously put off by the lack of professionalism shown in my last experience with them, I recently moved to the area and thought I would give them a second try. I’m glad we did because the 3 cupcakes we purchased were great! We tried the vanilla birthday, lemon curd, and cookies and cream. All delicious with fluffy and moist cake. The only negative is that the cake for the lemon curd and vanilla birthday were the same cake with different frosting and toppings. It would be nice if each cupcake had its own cakes, but at least the cake was good.

Stopped here for a snack. The cherry pocket pie was amazing!!! So flaky and delicious! Grabbed some sour dough bread to try at home.

After a mediocre lunch at the Branch Street Delu we had a fantastic éclair $ 4. I highly recommend. It is as good, if not better, than Beas Bakery in Tarzana. Mondo Yum!

This was such a great find in Arroyo Grande(thanks to the article in Inside SCV by Eric Harnish). My favorite was the blueberry tart! Thank you Jeremy for making our trip even more yummy!

Being a chocolate chip cookie aficionado I feel that this review should be taken with the utmost sincerity. The chocolate chip cookie had an excellent texture — slightly soft, slightly crunchy with a perfect amount of sweet and a good darker chocolate chip. Yum. We also got the éclair, but forgot a napkin– critical mistake. I still have chocolate in places I may not find anytime soon. Absolutely excellent éclair! Highly recommended. And finally, the lemon curd cupcake– delicious but for me too much sweet and too much lemon but my partner loved it. Our favorite was the éclair. They tasted even more delicious walking by rooster creek while eating them! Roosters everywhere! Also baby chicks! So fun!

Stumbled upon this cute little bake shop, and so glad we did. Best carrot cake cupcake I’ve ever had! Perfect crumb, and not too sweet or overly frosted. Will definitely be making it a point to stop by on future central coast trips.

Absolutely love eclairs, especially when they’re done right. You can easily tell that these eclairs are handmade, because each one is unique and just a bit different than the next. My husband and I shared an éclair and really appreciated how delicious it was, and how nice the owner was. Make a stop here while in Arroyo — you won’t regret it.

Delicious baked good. Ingredients were high quality and very fresh. We tried brownies, cupcakes, and a scone — all were truly fantastic.

I love Éclair Bakery, the staff is always so kind and the sweets are amazing obviously! The only thing I wished they had was a better coffee selection so I can stop going to Andreni’s all together. I mean who doesn’t love a velvety coffee with a sweet treat.

2.5 stars for éclair$ 4. It was big éclair. The taste was just mediocre. I could feel grainy sugar in The chocolate covered. And it was overly sweet and over powering the custard. The custard was very sticky.

Walked in for the smell of cookies and walked out with an amazing peanut butter cookie as well as some of the best sourdough I have ever had.

My boyfriend and I stopped in here last week and were greeted by Jeremy, the incredibly friendly owner. The décor was adorable, ambiance comfortable, service was exceptional and pastries? Outstanding. If you’re in the village, treat yourself!

I love eclairs when they’re done right… Here they are! The chocolate is real and not frosting-y(which it shouldn’t be) and not overly sweet! The pastry had the perfect texture of flaky and sturdiness to hold the(again, not too sweet) filling. THANKYOU! And if the gentleman whom had flour on his belly taking orders is the one doing the baking, he’s doing his calling well!

My husband and I went in frankly because the big coffee place nearby was so packed that we knew we wouldn’t be able to sit down. The proprietor was very nice. We each selected a muffin and had a cup of coffee. The coffee was served in(what?!) ceramic cups with saucers. It was a very small amount of coffee for what we paid; however, there was no objection when we asked for refills. There were almost no coffee fixings set out so I couldn’t get my preferred sweetener. The muffins tasted fine; however, a few days removed, I have to admit I don’t remember what the flavors were. At least the bakery isn’t called«Muffin.» An aggresively hearty guest was talking incessantly to the proprietor and the shop is so small that we were very distracted; also, we could hardly hear ourselves speak. There is almost no place to sit down inside the shop. The table we used was right by the doorway and we felt a bit exposed. Not a cozy experience. The raves for this bakery are for people carrying out their orders. When we need that we’ll definitely keep Éclair in mind.

Thanks to Unilocalers for pointing out this business. This is a smaller artisan bakery. Very pleased with the eclairs with a heavenly cream and high grade chocolate topping. We also purchased an apple and cherry pastry to go and they were also delicious. Recommended.

Fantastic place with delicious desserts. I’m not a big fan of eclairs myself, so I don’t necessarily recommend the eclairs here, but I would definitely recommend the cookies and cupcakes! Always delicious.

Kudos to the men behind the counter here the day I went. Saturday morning, strolling through main street of Arroyo Grande, I came across this cute bakery. Not really having in mind anything in particular I wandered in to take a look. There bread cart looked amazing! But I didn’t buy any because I was just in town visiting and had no where to store it. I ordered: — an éclair $ 4(deliscious) I tried ordering an iced latte, but they didn’t have any ice :( Back to the kudos though, as I was sitting there eating my éclair I first witnessed a couple with a baby walk in, asking about the coffees. The lady asked if they served almond milk, or coconut milk to go with the coffee. But they only have whole milk, and soy milk. Lady goes off on GMOs and how no one drinks soy milk anymore… Next customer comes in, older lady… looks at the display of baked goods and goes«these cookies are kind of expensive aren’t they?» Oh to be a store owner and have the patience for customers… great display.

Very very delicious cookies. The owner is very nice and likes to get to know his customers. I was very impressed with their little location having ample seating and being very convenient right off the freeway and in the village :)
