The teVelde Conservatory of Music

I cannot tell you how much I love this place!!! We are new to the area and my Son was interested in playing the drums. I googled music lessons that were around me and the TeVelde Conservatory of Music came up. I went to their website, which is very put together, got to read the bio of it, as well as see each picture of each of the music teachers.
We met with Bonnie, the owner. She is EXTREMELY excited about music and is a very «hands on» owner, which I appreciate! Her team of teachers are the crème dela crème, if you ask me. She has your child take a test and based on their personality, they are set up with the corresponding teacher.
Michael is my Son’s piano and drums teacher and he is just an AWESOME human being. We just love him. My Son looks forward to coming to music!
The prices are quite a bit higher than others, BUT you get what you pay for and this place is WORTH EVERY CENT!!!

My son, now nine years old, has been taking piano lessons at teVelde for about four years. My daughter, now eight years old, has been taking piano lessons for three years. teVelde is not the least expense music school around, but you get what you pay for. I have researched and tried out every other music school in our area and none of them even comes close to the quality of instruction we have come to expect at teVelde. My children see Emily and Sierra. They are both amazing, not only in their knowledge and teaching, but also in their interaction with children. My kids adore them. My son invited Sierra to come to his last birthday party. And she came! There is just something special about Bonnie and her teachers. Going to teVelde is like becoming part of their family. I have to brag for a minute and say that my kids impress me and everyone who hears them play, every time they sit at the piano at our house. They steadily learn and progress. I have no complaints when I pay my monthly bill to teVelde. For my family, it is well worth it!

I take my daughter to this school, all the teachers are awesome! In addition to providing music lessons, the school provides many opportunities for their students to get involved in music, such as recitals, adjudications, summer music camps, and a really great student tutoring program. We love this school and all the teachers. The owner, Bonnie, deeply cares about all of the students here. Highly recommend!

My step daughter has been taking lessons from Bonnie and her staff for several years now. Everyone there is so professional and friendly and I’ve really seen my step daughter blossom over the years into a wonderful player and tutor. She’s even tried to teach me a few things!
I enjoy how much emphasis they put on the parents being involved with their child’s learning and helping them to practice.
They also have a music camp every summer, where the children learn a song, and play several instruments, sing and record like professionals and even get a finished cd of the song. Its really cool and worth getting lessons here.

Bonnie teVelde is a talented voice and music coach. I was impressed with her professionalism, her knowledge of vocal anatomy, and her ability to assess a student’s natural ability, vocal range, pitch right from the start. I have been a student of hers and will continue to be one in the future. She’s a treasure to have on the Central Coast. Watching her work with young families together to create musical households is very inspiring!
