D’Lola Couture

There are not enough words to express my thanks to DeeDee and her staff at D’Lola and the Wedding Seamstress. I had my wedding gown made by DeeDee and it was not the most traditional of gowns to start, but DeeDee seemed so excited to work on it and took my thoughts and made them even better in reality. To top it off, my (now) husband and I were starting to try for a family even before the first fitting. I told DeeDee this on my first visit with her and she said we would work it out for whatever happened. I was able to get pregnant and my original due date was two weeks before the wedding, though our miracle girl made her debut 3 weeks earlier. DeeDee worked fittings around my growing belly and burned the midnight oil the last week and a half before the wedding so I could have the most beautiful wedding gown that fit like a glove. DeeDee and her staff were absolute pleasures to work with and I loved the entire experience!

I would not even give them 1 star, but I have to give them something. They may be very good with their dresses, however if they think that you cannot afford them, they will snub you. I sent them an email asking about having my wedding dress specially made and made the mistake of having the price of the dress on the picture (I pulled it from online). I got a reply back that was basically stating that they wouldn’t even talk to me because based on the price on the picture I could not afford their services. I was appalled and floored that someone who is supposedly in customer service would send this kind of reply. They never once asked me what my price point was for the dress, and just made the assumption off the picture that I would not be able to afford them (which is NOT the case). Other prospective brides beware when sending them questions about having dresses made, based on my experience, they will treat you like dirt if you give them any sort of impression that you are not a wealthy individual.

Deedee is absolutely wonderful! She is extremely talented and will help you try to find the dress that YOU want. When trying on wedding dresses, I was about to leave and she suggested I try on one more, just for her, and it was the one I ended having as my wedding dress! Based off my style, figure, and dress type I was looking through, she was able to suggest dresses that I might like, and she was successful. She customized it to fit exactly what I wanted. Talk about good intuition!
