The pharmacy is the worst I’ve ever been to. I recently broke my back and they denied my pain medication twice without calling my orthopedist. It is their JOB to call if they have any questions, but instead they cancelled my scrpits, leaving me in excruciating pain. Thanks for nothing. I liked shopping there before, but because of the pharmacists, the entire store has lost my family of 4’s business.

I only shop at King Soopers and Walmart. I buy what I need at whichever has what I need and whoever has the lowest price. The employees at this King Soopers are generally helpful and the store usually has what I need, though at times they run out of items and it takes several days to restock. My one suggestion for this King Soopers is to hire a security guard. I have seen several aggressive beggars near the doors and even I have had one weird old man customer walk by me and call me a nasty name for no apparent reason(a psycho I guess?). People would feel safer shopping here if they had a security guard all day and every day just like the King Soopers at 64th and Sheridan.

This is my primary king soopers since it is the closet to my house but that is not to say it is the best. There really are some hits and misses about this place, the store isn’t necessarily the cleanest place, the food is generally in stock, the prices are fairly reasonable, but the service is either really good or just horrible. With all that said I will still continue to go here, but they should probably take care of those issues.

Worst store out there. They never have anyone working the registers and no one to bag. Generally the employees are just talking to each other. They are always out of what you need. The store is a mess and when you get anything from the deli they charge you the wrong price. This used to be a good store but in the last six months it has gone down hill fast. Looking to take my business else where as most of my friends already have.

I usually go to this Kings for gas only. I have found the pump price to be generally lower than Diamond Shamrock. Then with the discount for shopping at Kings the prices are really low!!!

I have always preferred King Soopers over Safeway because of the better quality of produce and meats. I have — correction: HAD — been shopping at this particular King Soopers for many years. I liked this location quite a lot, and went here despite that 2 other KS stores are slightly closer to my house(one of which is even a much newer store). The reason I did that was because my family eats a lot of fresh produce and this store had a much better quality and selection of the three. However, a lot has changed over the past year or so. I’ll start with the produce — the selection has diminished greatly in both quality and quantity. Every time I go, it seems the selection shrinks. Deli — again, the quality has dropped off greatly. Customer service, which used to be fantastic, is now worthless. Gods forbid you want something sliced to order! Bakery — KS bakeries have always been below-par to me, but I am picky about my fresh breads(emphasis on FRESH). On my last trip to this location, I even had a hard time finding a decent(meaning not about to expire) loaf of a national brand of sandwich bread. Center aisles — I can’t really say I have noticed any changes here, but who cares? I can get those items anywhere. Meats — the meats are about the only thing that has remained constant. The selection is good(they always seem to have what is advertised) and the customer service is excellent. Seafood is another story entirely. I occasionally like to splurge on crab, but probably about 2 years ago, the crab selection slid dramatically in terms of quality. Every bag of snow crab was nasty looking — yellow/brown(«dirty crab» if you watch Deadliest Catch) and/or freezer burned. I complained about it to both the meat staff and the management after I bought some and ended up throwing half of it away because it looked and tasted nasty. The staff told me they knew and corporate kept harassing them about why it wasn’t selling but yet nothing changed when they told them it was because no one wanted to buy dirty crab. Customer Service in general has declined as well. Everyone seems like they are in a bad mood. Baggers apparently receive no training on how to properly bag things so delicate items like tomatoes are bagged with heads of cabbage and melons on top. I tell them every time to please bag the RAW meat separately and in plastic, yet unless I stand over them, I inevitably come home to find my bag of deli turkey covered in blood from whatever raw meat I just bought. Honestly, it seems to me that the staff is very unhappy and it shows in the way they treat customers. This didn’t used to be the case, so what happened? I should also note that I have tried other area KS as well: 84th& Pecos has always been bad, 104th& Federal still sucks(bad produce) and I wasn’t impressed with the one at 120th& Sheridan either. Now, instead of going to one of the three that are less than 3 miles from my house, I now go over 7 miles to the one at 136th& Zuni, which was recommended to me by another friend who lives even further away but had experienced the same problems. The bigger issue is why is this happening? Is it that the entire chain is in serious decline? I thought so until I was in Castle Rock recently and stopped in one there — it was amazing(similar to the 136th location). Is it because they are spending so much money on their new stores where they will be selling things like furniture?(A ridiculous idea if you ask me). I thought for awhile that the 80th& Sheridan shop was declining because the one on Wadsworth is closed for renovation and everything was just picked over. After visiting all the others, I don’t think that’s the case either. Whatever the reason, it no longer matters because I will no longer shopping there.

This king sooper has wide isles, modern coolers, and a large selection. Staff on the other had was not very knowledgeable, the cashier picked up the bok choy and asked me what is this.

This is my go-to grocery store. I get all my prescriptions filled here. I do the bulk of my weekly shopping here. My daughter regularly rides the mechanical pony at the front of the store for a penny. We rent the dollar movies from the redbox all the time, and rarely, if ever, have to wait in line. The folks that work at this Soopers are kind people. They know my family, and they always go out their way to greet my daughter. Just yesterday, my little one let go of a balloon in the store and one of the sackers jumped to our aid and managed to wrangle the balloon down from the ceiling, much to my daughter’s delight. I love that I can load coupons onto my King Soopers card and then have them automatically process just by entering my phone number. I also love that they got the new kiddie carts that actually PLAYMOVIES for children as you go up and down the aisles. Nice touch. About the only negative I’ll give to this place is the parking, and it’s not even the fault of the grocery store. There are idiots that routinely drive through this lot — ignoring stop signs, tearing down the lanes like their car is on fire, etc.

Customer service is absolutely RIDICULOUS! I have asthma and have been looking for primatene mist everywhere. I gave up driving to every store and began calling around. When I called this King Soopers location I was immediately put on hold and then hung up on 9 minutes later. I called back and the same woman answered. I tried being friendly with her but she was extremely short with me. When I asked about the p.m. she said ‘I think so, anything else I can do for you?’. I explained the situation and asked if she could be sure. I was told ‘well pharmacy section is on the other side of the store but I said I think we have it’. I then asked if she could transfer my call to some one in the pharmacy. I was put on hold again just for the same woman to pick up the phone and say ‘one of managers said we do’ and HANGUP! Aggravated but in serious need of p.m. By now I drive to King Soopers to find out they have none and ‘managers are unavailable’.

This sucks, because this was totally my Go-To Grocery Store. Why? Because of the people. One manager, in particular(See previous review.) Unfortunately, he is no longer there, and the service at this King Soopers has suffered horribly. The girls at the Customer Service Counter are confrontational and have no people skills whatsoever. I actually had one present a «Fake» manager to me! When the REAL manager showed up, SHECOULDN’T WORKTHEREGISTER! And then she tried to give me a $ 2.36 refund for $ 10.00 worth of groceries. The produce is higher priced than Sunflower Market’s, and both Sunflower and Target have USDA Choice, Angus beef for the same price, and often less(The Chuck Roast at Target is HALF the price of King Soopers($ 1.99), and Sunflower usually has 80⁄20 Ground Beef for $ 1.97 a pound! At Soopers today, both were $ 4 a pound!) Even their Deli Meats, ONSALE, are $ 8.00 a pound! Hello, people, it’s not Boar’s Head! It’s your GENERIC, STOREBRAND! I can get Boar’s Head at Sunflower for $ 8.00 a pound. While the employees on the floor are generally very friendly, with the Meat Department Employees standing out in their Customer Service Skills, the Customer Service and Management are sorely lacking. They need some lessons. Until then, I’ll be shopping more and more at Sunflower, Target, and even WalMart.
