Super solid. My friends told me that The Egg & I was sort of like Colorado’s version of IHOP or Bob Evans, and after paying a visit, I’m inclined to agree, which isn’t a bad thing. This particular location is located within a strip mall parking lot, in a very unassuming location. We came in on a random weekday brunch around 10am. We were quickly seated, and after perusing the menu, I went with one of their brunch specials, the monterey bacon and avocado benedict, which was quite a unique dish. The perfectly poached eggs came on top of pancakes instead of the normal English muffins, but I wasn’t complaining. I actually really enjoyed the sweet and savory combination, and coupled with the bacon and creaminess of the hollandaise and avocado, a pretty good conglomeration. The dish came with some ranch potatoes which were crispy and delicious. Service was lightning fast, and very attentive. I liked that they gave us a pitcher of ice water, rather than having us have to ask for water over and over, given that there was pretty much only the one waitress serving the entire restaurant. Prices were very fair, as my benedict was only about $ 12, with tip and tax. Not too shabby. A quick brunch, no fuss, no muss. I highly recommend the Egg and I for some quality egg dishes, at a good price, and with quick service.

Awesome Reuben Sandwich. Large portion size, enough for two meals. Service from Kenny was professional, attentive and friendly.

Not your typical breakfast all day place. This place has great tasting food, I had the«BACONAVOCADOCHICKEN» and the breakfast has good portions. The service is wonderful and quick. The restaurant is clean and parking is plentiful. I will be going back soon. I guess there is a reason why this location has been won so many awards.

This place is very average. We were excited to try it given the good reviews and claims to have been voted best breakfast place but I was somewhat disappointed. The food wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t great. I probably could have made our french toast and croissant sandwich equally as good at home for much cheaper. Coffee wasn’t great, which is a killer for a breakfast joint! The service was pretty quick so that saves a star or two. We came at 1030 on Saturday morning and only waited about 10 minutes. Then our food came up very quickly as well. Overall nothing to write home about.

The staff was very kind and the restaurant was clean. However, the food was DISGUSTING. Worst restaurant food I’ve ever had. The chicken on my salad looked frozen and synthetic. Serious lack of quality!!!

The host staff was friendly. However our server seemed impatient. The Food was a joke for the price. I got the colorado jack. I subbed bacon for ham. The bacon was raw. My scrambled eggs were burnt. The salsa tasted like tomato soup. Not sure why this is popular. Any waffle house can destroy this place. They focus on presentation of the food rather than quality.

First time here and was pleasantly surprised at how decent food was. The wait is quite long on the weekends, but worth the price and food. I had biscuits and gravy with a side of ham. Gravy was better than some larger, more popular breakfast spots I’ve been to and the potatoes were pretty yummy. Biscuits were soft and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Not too bad of a place if you have time to wait. Very affordable and the plates are a good size.

Had the Santa Fe Huevos smothed with Green Chlie. I didn’t care for it. It had a bland taste as did the small scope of guacamole, but then maybe I should have gone to a Mexican restaurant for a meal like that. I really like their other dishes. The coffee was A-ok… .

Nope not my favorite. Bacon was under cooked and hash browns way over cooked. Maybe it was just the day but I will not be returning.

We were greeted by a very nice gentleman, we were seated at a nice private booth, the waitress was nice, they had seasonal items on the menu, awesome iced coffee which a lot of places don’t. Will definitely return

Planned a Colorado family reunion only I had to do it from Texas. The manager, Sean, was extremely helpful and although our party grew from 15 to 23 to 27, he was able to accommodate us without showing us any frustration. Our server, Adam, handled all of us quite well without missing a beat. I’m sure he had help behind the scenes. He did a terrific job. Everyone ordered something different and nobody had a bad thing to say. We all enjoyed brunch and didn’t feel rushed to get out and make room for other parties. We were aware of the space we were taking but we felt welcome and the food/service was just awesome. Will definitely go back again and highly recommend it.

One of my favorite places to eat breakfast in Denver, at any of their locations. They are always very accommodating with my three grand kids and the service is usually great.

Fourth day in Colorado, brought the family in for breakfast after reading the reviews. I’d have to give The Egg and I a solid three in terms of food and service just because our previous breakfast experiences were way better. My brother and I ordered steel cut oatmeal which was lumpy, my mom got the Chicken Apple Sausage Scramble that came with an overly toasted English muffin. It was a Saturday morning so I realize that restaurants get really busy but if they organized themselves better when taking guest to their table and assisting patrons at the register then things could probably go a lot smoother. If staying in the Westminster area I recommend the Early Bird Restaurant or Goody’s Eatery. Peace!

This is one of my favorite restaurants! The staff is always extremely friendly and always so accommodating with my large family. The menu has so many different sweet and savory options. My favorite savory breakfast choice is the green chili chicken hash, with tortillas instead of toast. I love getting my eggs over easy with this dish so that the egg yolk mixes in with all the other flavors! I love their chocolate chip pancakes too, but recently I had a limited time cinnamon roll French toast, with icing on top. It was so sweet and delicious, and my nephew didn’t even want his scrambled eggs because my food was better. My niece and two nephews LOVE this place and are always asking if we can have their pancakes for breakfast! I will never tire of this place!

Egg and I never disappoints. They have great food. One of my favorites is the Athena Scramble, crispy potatoes and bacon! Getting hungry writing this! Love their own hot sauce as well. Coffee selection is great too, like how they have seasonal coffee flavors. Nice clean place as well.

Great tasting food-love their hot sauce! I had the chicken and avocado egg white omelet and it was super delicious and healthy which I greatly appreciate since I have limited food options that are low carb and still taste good. Great server-forgot his name unfortunately or I would name him personally. He was very attentive but not overly attentive. All-around easy in and out and great meal!

This a great place to get some breakfast. Food is good and the service is prompt and friendly. Been there a few times and it has been positive every time. TIP: Look for their large chalkboard menu on the north wall. It has deals on it that are very inexpensive. If you order off of that chalkboard menu, they are allegedly supposed to honor the low price and make the item.

I’m not sure why, but poached eggs seem to be a challenge to the food industry. It’s really not hard to do, and it should arrive with a perfectly runny yolk in the middle. Not too runny, and certainly not cooked to hard boiled consistency. But alas, a lot of places just can’t get it right, and as such I usually don’t order my favorite way of prepping eggs when I eat out. That said, I figured a place called«The Egg & I» should be able to figure it out. I chanced an order of poached eggs alongside my blueberry pancake and pork sausage patties. PERFECT. My poached eggs were amazing. And that pancake? You get one. Why? It’s MASSIVE. I could barely finish it(but I did!). My wife and I shared the ranch-style potatoes, but were so full after everything that we had to leave some behind. The house coffee here is quite good, and you’ve got a variety of specialty coffees to pick from, should you choose. Oh, they also leave a pot of coffee with you at your table. THANKYOU. This is genius, and everyone should adopt it. Like that specialty hot sauce they have? You can buy it! It was maybe $ 4 to buy a bottle, and it’s definitely worth it! It has a thicker consistency than regular hot sauces, which really made it stand out. The Egg & I is easily my favorite breakfast place in the neighborhood. The prices and service are excellent. Avoid Denny’s at all costs and come here instead!
