Traveling through stopped by to try this pizza. I have never ever tried this before that goes for any location. But stopped here in Arvin Ca. The staff here was awesome. The pizza welllllll!!! It’s ok they only have one size which is really a personal size pizza for 8.45 for 2 topping is a bit much. And the pepperoni shrinks to the size of a thumbnail sausage is already tiny. so you know where I’m going with that hahahaha. But the taste is decent. So if you’re counting calories this is the place for you. Pizza is almost invisible tiny tiny tiny tiny but good that’s all

Really love the thin crust pizzas and this place does it well! I had the gluten free because I’m trying to make healthier choices… and it was so really really good! Still had that crispy crust that makes thin pizza my favorite. You can either build your own our pick one of their creations, for those of us that get overwhelmed with too many choices! Staff was great! Walked in at 8:10 and knew they closed at 8:30, but we were hungry and thought we’d order to go as w could sees they had started cleaning up early. My hubby is one is those rude people that has never worked in the food industry! So he doesn’t understand what is like to have to stay late because a customer doesn’t care what time you close if he got in before closing! He wanted to site and eat after we ordered. They were very sweet and didn’t make us feel rushed or that they were bothered by this! They were friendly and polite. And not once did I see their smiles fade. I made him pack up what we had left at a little after 8:30, and thanked them as we left. Would definitely come again… and it’s great that is next door to a Starbucks, and less than 2 minutes from Tejon Outlets!

Anyone who’s had pieology knows how good it is, so I won’t be commenting on that. The Full stars are for the staff at this location. They are actually Happy to take your order! Good stuff for being on a long road trip. I’ll definitely be stopping here the next time I pass through here again.

There seems to be a wave of these pizza places that function like a Subway. You walk down the counter watching the various workers add your sauce, cheese, meats and veggies, however much you want, and pay a really good price for as much as you can pile on the very thin crust. I love it, and Pieology didn’t disappoint. Crust was crispy and delicious, and there was plenty of each topping I asked for. It’s not greasy at all, and it is very easy for one person to eat an entire pizza by herself. Lines are long at this location. Perhaps that’s because it was Saturday afternoon and right next to the 99freeway, but they move along pretty quickly, and we had pizza within about 15 minutes of arriving. When we go to the Outlets, we’ll be visiting again.

It’s a shame that we didn’t get to taste anything Pieology had to offer. Walk in, there are 4 ladies working. Only one of the four are helping a customer, which I’m sure was a friend. The other 3 are huddled together talking to each other at the register. They all looked at us as they continued to gossip. It wasn’t until 2 more customers walked in that one of the 3 that were gossiping decided to walk in our direction to help us. We left before she could get to us. Very rude customer service.

First time, so I haven’t any experience with consistency, but I gave them a test with Pesto base, feta cheese(then they want you to pick veggies even though the sign says; meets then veggies?) so I added jalapeños, calamata olives, artichoke hearts, and fresh basil. I didn’t see sun dried tomatoes or I’d have added them. Finally added the spicy chicken and into the oven as I stepped the register paid and took my number and a seat to wait for my pie as I planned to take it on the road(someone has got to invent a car kit for pizza pie) My tip? Ask for toppings from main flavor to minor(I asked for jalapeño first and Bam!) The place is brand new and very bright and upbeat hope I see one in Fresno soon

When you’re in the middle of nowhere and you see your favorite fast casual pizza chain you know it’s going to be a great trip. I spent the night here in Grapevine and wasn’t expecting much on the food front. However, Lo and behold there’s a Pieology right across the street from the new Tejon Outlet mall. If you’re new to Pieology(or any build your own pizza place) I would say this is a must stop on your travels along the 5. Basically you choose all of the toppings you want and they toss it in oven. Chipotle is the best comparison I can give you as far as how the concept works. — The personal pies are tasty and affordable.

I came here because of my dairy Intolerance, was so excited to have a pizza spot that offers daiya cheese. however, got to the front of the line and DUNDUNDUNNNNNNN, no vegan cheese. so, I proceed to order a pizza with no cheese– just marinara and all the veggies. it’s good, not great. after cheeze is the glue of pizza… in my humble opinion. the garlic bread and cinnamon sticks were bomb. and the crust was on point. service was alright, they bring it to the table with a number, the people working where half friendly, have snappy with the rush hour dinner orders coming in.

Finding a Pieology in the middle of Arvin was one of the biggest surprises I’ve had since moving to Bakersfield. I first tried them in Fullerton and am thrilled to see them all the way out here(sad that they couldn’t, like, just have come up another half hour to Bakersfield). It’s like Subway, but for pizza — and a welcome departure from your typical«Food Next Exit» fare on the desolate drive up the 99. My boyfriend and I each got our own pie — he went with the Easy Cheesy and I made my own version of a white pizza. It was delicious, and fresh from their huge oven. It’s a thin crust lover’s dream here, so don’t come looking for deep dish or thick crust pizza. I washed it down with a grapefruit lemon Italian soda. If we hadn’t been full I would have gone for their frozen vanilla custard — even on a chilly fall evening! Staff is friendly and the atmosphere here is fresh and modern. A great way to cap off a visit to the Outlets at Tejon!

I have stopped here several times on my way to Sacramento and it is a refreshing alternative to junky drive through food. Tonight I was unhappy with my pie(the red bell peppers were oddly spicy) and they promptly made me a new one. Great customer service. I will keep coming back for the good pizzas and the good service. They make a great pie!

My husband and I stopped in here and found another incarnation of a quick-serve pizza joint. The inside was immaculately clean and the staff friendly. As with other restaurants of this kind, you order at the counter by picking toppings as it goes down the prep line. Don’t worry, if you’re indecisive, they have several pre-selected options(BBQ, meat lovers, etc) that allow you to not have to make up your mind on each item. Once the pizza is done, it’s popped into the oven and will be ready in a few minutes. We preferred Pieology over some of the other quick pizza places in town for two reasons. 1) The toppings seemed a bit more fresh(full disclosure: we ate there right at opening, so everything was fresh from the fridge for the day), and 2) the crust was a tiny bit chewier/thicker than some other chains. It’s tough to get a real pizza crust to cook quickly, so the result is that they are usually extra thin, extra crispy crusts. It’s not a bad thing, but a drawback to quick-cook pizza places. Pieology seemed to find a balance that made this thick crust pizza loving soul happy! They also offer salads and other sides, as well as an array of drinks. Outdoor seating is available, though shade is limited. If you’re out near the outlets I’d recommend a stop for a quick meal if you’re looking to branch out from the usual fast food fare.

This was my first experience with the build your own pizza trend. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about it given pizza really isn’t my thing. We were greeted warmly and once I explained we were«virgins» they were happy to explain the process. Going through the choices was funny and enjoyable though it for sure insures that if unpleasant tasting it will be your own fault! We bought 2 pizzas and 2 drinks and it was around $ 20. I think it’s priced fair but could be pricey for large families.

Best place to stop on I5. Pizza is GREAT and there’s a Starbucks next door to refuel on your drive. And I’m a picky New Yorker and found the pizza very tasty. And the staff are really awesome too. For 7.95 I got a «make your own» pizza with unlimited toppings. Great deal!

Stopped here off the I-5 northbound and though the line was long it moves quick. Ingredients are fresh. I’m a fan of the herb butter base and unlimited options is always a good thing! This is the second time we stopped and both times the hubby and I split a custom pizza and are more than satisfied. Have yet to try their alfredo sauce. Will definitely stop here again on our way north.

It’s been a while since I drove down to Socal so I kind of forgot how dreary it can be. It seems like there’s a lot of new restaurants and rest stops popping up and this is one I’m ok with stopping by during my drives down in the future!

Ok so with so many trying to capitalize on the make your own pie concept, the question is do you go to Blaze or Pieology? Those seem to be the gold standards at this time. This being my first time here at Pieology I must say the slight edge goes to Blaze. It’s just tastier and from what I remember they use fresh garlic not that over pickled crap they utilize here. Overall I give them 4 stars good service good pizza, but if given the opportunity to choose I’ll take Blaze any day!

Other than the 80 going through Nevada, the North/South I-5 is the most dreadful drive. It is especially oppressive because during the Bay Area to Disneyland(for example) drive one will need to fuel their car which is easy. It is also quite likely one will need to fuel the body which can be easy if you abandon hope or expectation along the dry, desolate Tatooine-like ‘scape, but likely unsatisfying. We don’t care for traditional fast food and didn’t feel like hitting up the other choices on our return home. Like a tasty mirage we happened upon Pieology. I had seen the chain in the East Bay, but had not had an opportunity to try. The Pieology on Laval is brand spankin’ new… opened last Thursday. We were all so happy they did! How can I give a chain 5 stars? Allow me to explain… Service: * We were welcomed warmly the minute we walked in the door. * The employees were patient with our lack of experience ordering. It’s not a difficult system, mind you, but 4 days of Disneyland in near-100 degrees tends to make me slow-witted. * Our orders came out very quickly and with a smile. * While this isn’t a full-service restaurant(you order at the counter and self-serve drinks) one of the employees came over to ask if we needed anything midway through our meal. She came back asking if is like a to go box & said they offer half boxes too. Food * Surprisingly delicious! Honestly I kept my expectations low. If you’d grown up in the 80’s-90’s and remember Sbarro you know what I mean. * George Carlin says pizza is like sex — even when it’s bad it’s still pretty good. Eh. Rest assured this is good stuff! Is it Sally in the diner with Harry good? You decide. I have had a lot of pizza in my life and considering this is «fast food», I’m here to say it’s very tasty.(This last sentence is not a euphemism.) * I must not have paid close attention, but if you build your own it’s one price only! You can have one topping or a dozen! It’s reasonably priced. * You can also build a custom salad. I was tempted, but decided to have salad another day. All of the ingredients are fresh and good quality. * I never eat pizza crust — I usually give it to my hubby in our oddly wonderful symbiotic food relationship. Alas… he got none. Most pre-made pizza crust is tasteless, but Pieology’s had fab flavor. Ambiance * I know it’s a new location so it should be clean, but you’d be surprised how quickly places let things go. This Pieology was super clean! One of the staff swept the entrance/queue while we were there. * The women’s room was very tidy and well-stocked. * Great music! Classic alternative 80’s tunes in this location. This is my happy place so it made the meal extra nice. :) Overall I’m happy to know that Pieology awaits us on our next south or northbound trip down the 5. Starbucks is adjacent for your caffeine fix and there is a gas station across the street. May this travel trifecta of petrol, pie(or salad), and coffee give you the mettle to make it down the dusty stretch of California. Safe travels.

Can I just say yaaaaaas!!! Finally. A pizza option in Tejon that doesn’t suck! I tried a few pizza types during their soft opening, but I went back today for the real experience. Everyone was so friendly and understanding that nobody knows the concept yet. It is like pizzarev but so much better! Fresher ingredients. The pizza crust is thin but not so thin like pizzarev where it tastes like a cracker. It is still yummy and satisfying, yet thin. The décor is modern and cute. I was so happy with my service and my food. I will definitely be back.
