The park is wonderful however the soccer fields are a complete waste of tax payer dollars. The county thought it was a good idea to plant Bermuda grass on low lying soccer fields next to the Potomac river. Bermuda is a good choice for fairways in warm southern states but a terrible idea for soccer fields in Virginia. Aside from costing thousands and thousands of dollars to maintain every year, the Loudoun County PRCS closes these fields on a regular basis even for minimal rain. These fields were open a grand total of 3 days from mid-April through late May due to rain. That’s 3 out of 30+ days. What’s the point of spending all that money on soccer fields that no one can ever use?

Nice park, lots of wildlife here. Hiking, mountain biking, exploring you name it! This park is wonderful, every time I come here. I feel as if I’m deep in the Shenandoah mountains. Yes, it’s that peaceful. Minus being on the flight path to Dulles Airport. Basically, if you can’t make it out to the Shenandoah mountains due to being short on time, etc. Then check out Bles Park. Who knows when you arrive here there might be a small group of deers waiting to greet you. How sweet is that?

The«hiking» trails at this park are really not used much. They are not very wide at all and mostly overrun with tall grass. You go by a canal and then a gold course, which is a bit odd to be «hiking» in the woods about 50′ from people teeing off. Really it just makes you feel like a stalker.

Bles Park is a nice place to go to when you feel like going on a leisurely stroll to enjoy nature. It is a124-acre property, 30-acres of which contains the active park with soccer fields, walking/hiking trails, a playground, a parking lot and restrooms and a 94-acre passive park with wetlands that will contain sections of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail and Broad Run Corridor Trail. Good area to walk your dogs and the trail actually goes right up to the Potomac.
