Elements Massage

I was here on vacation and they got me in last minute. Their customer service is on point and my massage was great. Highly recommended.

Been having serious pain in my lower back and upper neck due to spraining my hip join (have no idea how that happened!). Anyway, I called and asked for someone who was not shy about providing a deep tissue massage in my IT bands… and wow Matthew Rondeau did a great job. I felt great when I left, and am more flexible days later. Nice place, relatively affordable, too!

I was here last week and got a 80 minute massage from Mia. It was great and Mia is fantastic. Definitely recommend this place.

This is easily the best place for a massage in the DC metro region! I’ve seen multiple therapists here, and they are all amazing, though Melinda is my absolute favorite. This is distinctly different from Massage Envy, where it’s usually a fast-​food-​like experience, in and out. In contrast, Elements personalizes both the therapist and techniques to you, and tracks your progress.
While they definitely do offer relaxing massages, they also really excel at helping you permanently address muscle tension through deep tissue work – often even offer recommended stretches and tools to use at home to speed up progress! They are truly your partner in seeking wellness. I struggle from chronic tension headaches and really appreciate a place that gets it, and cares more about my progress than making a quick dollar. Never seen a place like this before!
PS – as a side benefit, their front desk assistants are outstanding. I’ve honestly never seen such customer service. If you want to put your account on hold for whatever reason, they will handle it right away – another perk Massage Envy doesn’t allow – and they’ll reactivate your account immediately upon request. They also have a fantastic and intuitive online booking service – much more advanced than even most doctor’s offices.

I have only seen 3 different therapists at this location, and while the massages left a lot to be desired, I’m sure they all have redeeming qualities. The business model however is based on locking clients into a «membership» which requires a direct withdrawal whether you have a massage or not. Membership offers significant financial savings, but then you’re stuck. I tried it for 2weeks then decided to withdraw from the membership but needed to wait 30 days before I could be removed. I was told I had a balance from my membership charges but was informed after having a massage that someone else had been mistaken. Each time I left I felt unhappy. I was searching for a serene environment in which to relax with no obligations or intrusions. Instead I was Immediately bombarded with daily emails about open appointments, silly gimmicks and gift card sales. Just not for me. I received a personal call from the owner pressuring me for answers about my choice to withdraw from membership program, then completely disregards and switches to salesman mode and pressures me to come in for another massage. Today I’ll be honoring an appointment I made because they were the only place to accept a gift card I received, I tried to reschedule it due to physical ailment, no dice. This will be my last visit. I assume they will be glad to be rid of me as well.

I have been going to Elements regularly for one year. I am always greeted with a smile and friendly person at the desk. They have various specialties and I see two of the therapists regularly. Both are outstanding and are very thorough. I am asked if there is anything that was missed or any place i wish to have re-​visited before moving on to the next area.
They put you at ease and are very professional. I have had a few conversations with the owner and he is a good guy. Family man, kids in sports, etc.
I began to get massages when I began to work out at the gym, hoping to avoid injuries. I have received a ton of great advise on how to tailor my gym workouts and avoid the trouble areas (i.e., lower back, hamstrings, etc.) and this had been quite helpful. I know that after my massage, I can put both hands flat on the floor with my knees locked. Before the massage, I am just able to touch my toes. It makes that much of a difference. I have not had an injury and have been hitting the gym pretty hard and contribute my lack of injury to my regular visits to Elements.
5 stars, without doubt.

Still having amazing massages here. Actually found the best massage therapist I’ve ever had. I think she is so awesome that I shall not utter her name; however, I have never had a bad massage here. You can’t go wrong with this place.

Jim and the whole staff at Elements are amazing. They took their time booking my appointment, and I really felt they cared about what my needs were and what I was looking for. They were kind, professional and caring from the moment I walked in until the moment I walked out. The environment of Elements was relaxing, and the service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend friends and family to Elements, and I will be returning there myself!

I got my wife two sessions for Valentine’s Day. While I was reviewing the offered packages, I was greeted by the Owner who provided me in depth information on their services and customer satisfaction. My wife went to the two sessions and said it is without a doubt the best message she has received.
The therapist was accomodating to her identified problem areas and took extreme care in many areas. She also provided my wife with a thorough explanation on what she could do to alleviate stress and recommended steps for better physical care.
My wife wants to go back. I am impressed with Elements and may have to get a session or two for myself. I highly recommend this place.

I have had two massages with Elements in Ashburn. I have back issues and have made the staff aware. Each time I came in the therapist listened to my issues and «checked in» on me during my massage to make sure things were fine for me. I am super pleased with their attention to my specific needs and the willingness to be firmer in some areas and softer in others.
Massage is not only relaxing it can be healing whe done with the amount of attention and respect I was given during my sessions.

The problem with this place is the subscription model… I have belonged for many months and every time I call to try to get an appointment, an appointment is not available. They say they will strive to get you an appointment the very same day but this just is not true! In addition I’ve had them cancel appointments on me when I have tried to make it with the same therapist I’d had previously. They go through therapists a lot I think because their whole point/​Business model is to try to get the money for the monthly payment and then never provide the service.

I went to Elements for persistent neck pain and Rob was great. My one star rating is not a reflection of the therapists rather of their business practice. I enrolled in their wellness program and in December in the middle of finals week they left me a voice mail letting me know they scheduled me for an appointment on Sunday and an email. However I never responded to confirm! I never said YES that works for me and I’ll be there. I never even checked my voice mail or email (I thought it was just advertising for one of their members only specials). On Sunday when they called to let me know I was late (for an appointment I never agreed to) I explained it was finals week and I had four finals that I was in the middle of and there was no way I was going to drop everything for a massage. The person on the other line did not tell me that I had basically forfeited my massage for the month so imagine my surprise when I went in a couple weeks later to unwind after a stressful couple weeks and was charged the full price. I explained to them what had happened and they said they would check with their boss to see what to do. They called me back a couple hours later to let me know that even though I DIDN’T KNOW about my original appointment let alone confirm it I was still charged for it and full price for the massage I had actually received. Awesome. I asked to cancel my membership which I was told I could but I would still be responsible for January’s payment and on the form I was emailed it states I cant scan and email the cancellation form to them I have to deliver it to them (because I have nothing better to do with my time apparently). «I understand that to cancel my Wellness Program membership I must complete this official form (hard copy, no emails) and present to the studio 30 days prior to the next scheduled withdrawal date». So to sum it up if you want a good (albeit overpriced) massage I would recommend them BUT don’t sign up for the Wellness Program and remember to check any and all emails from them and your voice mail every time otherwise you might end up paying for a massage you never got.

Went in for the first time special. Kind of hard to pick someone just based on names in website. Place is located in middle of a strip mall, not your serene spa for sure. Very basic décor and small place. Massage was nothing special as I might have picked the wrong name from list. I have had regular massages and know the average from the one where they focus on stress areas and engage to see if it’s working. Here I guess it’s a lot of clock watching and felt rushed. Nonetheless 59 bucks was a good deal but at full price you can choose from a lot of better massage places around.

I’ve never had to pay for a massage before, but I also haven’t had but a handful of them in the past, but I certainly feel like I got my money’s worth at this place. They have a special for 1^st time massages and as I was scoping out some of the local businesses for work, I felt like this was the perfect place to de-​stress after a busy month of moving, starting a new job, and a million other things going on. I had Bill as a masseuse and he made it very easy to want to setup a follow-​up appointment. When it was all over, I just wanted 10 more minutes. They have packages setup so that massages can be a part of your monthly routine, which definitely makes the costs more palatable, and I hope that the subsequent massages are as enjoyable as this one, that was the first one in a good number of years.

Wow. I had a rough week. and needed to relax. I have been a member of Massage Envy since it opened… I feel like a «number» to them. rush me in. rub me down. take my money and kick me out. I am kinda over it. So I wanted to try something new. I saw Elements advertisement on Facebook. I tried out a 50 min massage for $ 59.00. When I came in. I was greeted by name. I was invited to have a bottle of water and directions to the restroom. They also asked how I was doing in general and made me feel welcome. I ended up getting a massage by Nicole. She was friendly and professional and gently melted away my stress. After the massage, she gave me a note that explained where I was knotted up and what we should work on when I come back. (Kind of like a massage report card and prescription for the next one). I have been back a few times now. and it is always better and new. Karen used hot oiled stones to really get heat into my muscles. for no extra charge! Rita. really worked me over and I was pleased to know she is currently a medic in the military. All have been such a great crew. My cell phone was dying and they offered to charge it while I got recharged too! I met the owner Jim and he was friendly also. shook my hand and also greeted me by name! I feel like family now.
This is my new home. Don’t take MY word for it. go try it out yourself. you won’t be sorry!

Checked out Elements based upon a friend recommendation. I’ve had a few massages before, usually at spas or on vacations and, while they were good, I wasn’t a fan of paying for robes and slippers and spending ½ hour sipping ice water with lemons before the actual massage.
Elements was awesome. Friendly clean place and an excellent massage without the useless excess that you will find at a typical spa. The therapists ask specific questions about what you want and provide recommendations for future visits.
And don’t worry about them pushing you to sign up for a monthly memebership. Sure, they will ask and provide you with the benefits, but if it’s not for you they will gladly book you for an appointment even if you are not a member.
Definitely worth your while to check it out.

RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL AND INSENSITIVE!
I had made an appointment today to receive a theraputic massage from Karen.
When I walked in the receptionist told me that Karen and herself had left numerous messages for me regarding the need for a «doctor’s approval».
Sure enough, after checking my messages they had left 4.
This was suppose to be a fun, relaxing day for me… not an interrogation. :(
Very upset that they were so insensitive.
Can’t a gal just get a little massage without being interrogated? I’m going to Amenity!
