The restaurant looks nice and new in a nice and new plaza. The bread and olive oil they brought out after we ordered were good. But honestly, the meal just wasn’t that great, certainly not worth the cost. But what really surprised me were the inappropriate pictures of scantily clad women in the men’s restroom. I took my 6 yr-old son in there – at lunch – and was confronted with risqué photos of women in sexual poses. Come on, now, that’s just not appropriate. If you are going to insist on having that«art» up, please provide a family restroom so my kids don’t have to see that.

Food is mediocre at best. The wait staff was friendly and attentive and the restaurant was very clean. We may try it again if we decide to sit in the bar and only have drinks. Disappointing…

We went to this place and the place is ok, food is also not soo good and the pizza we ordered was salty and the quantity of food is less compared to Carrabbas or Bertucci’s. Expected to be a good authentic Restruant but no where close.

We stopped in while visiting for a wedding this weekend and we were blown away by how amazing the food was! We had a party of 8, and last minute called to see if we could be accommodated, and Robin was more than gappy to help us. Once we arrive, she greeted us and introduced herself and led us to our table. Cliff was our waiter, and he was outstanding. He brought a taste of both had use wines very to us to try(both were awesome!) His service was outstanding! The food was AMAZING. We ordered a variety — two pizzas(the Bianca and margherita), the calamari, Caesar salad, bologense, and ravioli. All of us shared and couldn’t stop raving about it. My favorites were the bianca pizza and calamari! My boyfriend and his family have been to Italy on multiple occasions and always talk about how thin and crispy the pizza is — this place is the only place they have ever said has the same style! The pizza is paper thin and full of flavor! We will definitely visit the next time we are in town! Thank you Robin and Cliff for the amazing service and food!

First time trying it out and my ears are still ringing. Why? Too darn noisy, so much so that I could hardly hear my wife the entire time. They also play too loud strange music(guys put on some o sole Le mio) or anything but that crap your playing. Food: had calamari cut too big and flash fried, unfortunately not long enough. yes they were tender but salty and greasy as well. Half way thru eat them luke warm the crust falls off and the pile is gross and soggy. Also ordered Antipasti Platter This had chunks of Parmesan? Sliced too thick prosciutto, olives, artichokes, salami, a slice of taglitello cheese, sliced tomatoes with mozzarella and a warm pile of eggplant something? Not terrible Prices are high to pay the outrageous rents they must have in a prime local. Add two lemonade and tax& tip Voila You spent $ 40

My husband and I have eaten here a couple of times and have enjoyed the food. Only complaints would be that the parking can be tight, especially on the weekends, the bar area takes up just as much space as the indoor eating area and the main course food portion is a bit on the smaller side. My husband ordered the ravioli di carne dish, which was DELISH, but they only give you a total of five raviolis, which weren’t supersized by any means. This was the first Italian restaurant where we were still hungry after the bread and appetizer. We didn’t want to embarrass ourselves and lick our plates. PLEASE Pazzo Pomodoro, give us at least one more ravioli! :)

First off, this place is odd. They have a huge space for the bar, but there is barely any space for table seating. I ordered the«vermicelli con vongole o cozze» for $ 17. We ordered kids spaghetti for $ 6 and an extra meatball for $ 2. The clams were decent but the spaghetti was just meh. They actually gave me linguine instead of vermicelli. The white sauce was really watered down. For $ 17 I expect a lot more than what I ordered. The $ 2 extra for the meatball in my daughters spaghetti was this sad little piece of ground meat in a round shape. That should have been more like 50 cents for that meatball, if that. The waitress was nice an attentive, I’ll give them that. Otherwise, I doubt I will ever go back. If you want good authentic Italian food, try Pomodoro’s in Sterling(the chef is from Italy) or Papa Tony’s in Brambleton(the lady who creates the specials is Italian American.) The Linguine Alle Vongole at Pomodoro’s puts the«vermicelli con vongole o cozze» to shame.

When it comes to pizza people often evaluate using the incorrect criteria. Pizza is not about bang for buck or value. It’s not about filling as many mouths as possible for a certain price. It’s also not about piling on toppings. It’s about quality of ingredients and balance. This is Pazzo falls short. The reginella pizza had way too much cheese. The crust was also a bit heavy. Perhaps they are just catering to the market and loading on the cheese, but this is not how it is supposed to be. The Arancini was good, but one of the balls was cold in the middle. I think they were rushing food out because they were pretty busy and backed up in the kitchen. With most Italian/pizza restaurants, the issues are easily correctable if the staff is willing to make proper adjustments. I would advise the owners to sample pizza at Pupatella or 2amys.

This place was OK, and that about sums it up. The caprese salad was really good; so good that I had to run over to Whole Foods afterwards and grab ingredients to make caprese salads at home for the rest of the week :) My gnocchi dish was just OK. The gnocchi didn’t really seem fresh. It was a bit gummy, not fluffy, and it was drowning in pomodoro sauce, which was also just OK. The mozzarella in the dish was really good, though. My husband’s penne with salmon was really good; it had better flavor than my dish. I’d like to go back to try the pizza. But, it probably won’t be my go-to Italian place.

Service is excellent. Ambience gets an A+. Very nice for outdoor dining(lunch or dinner). Ordered pizzas which were very good. Beautiful baked, great crust, nice sauce, good amount of cheese(not too much, just right.) I would suggest less toppings results in the optimal pizza outcome, because too many toppings prevents the cheese from cooking properly. The margherita(sp?) pizza was excellent.

A decent Italian restaurant in Ashburn. They seem to be working some things still. Best thing was the beat salad. Those beats were fantastic. Great flavor and the arugula and vinniagrette worked nicely with the tangy goat cheese. The ceaser salad was a average. Good ceaser but nothing special. The first thing you notice is the enormous pizza oven and wood charcoal fired up. If course, must order pizza. The dough was close to right. The bottom was crisp but the edges had undercooked inside… and that just is not good and should not happen in wood burning oven. The flavor of the crust was decent but didn’t hit me as it should have if it was done in Napolitano style or New Haven or Boston. Limited selection of wines but the 2 we tried were a very good Chianti and equally as good montepulciano. This place has potential. Good atmosphere and attentive service. Fix the pizza dough or just give a little longer in the oven and crust can cook through.

I would have to agree with Peter S. comments below. We had been there twice, once during their opening week and the next a few weeks later as we were looking so forward to have a good Italian neighborhood place but they did fail miserably. They first time we went I had ordered linguine with clam sauce. Although it wasn’t on the menu the waiter assured me that the chef can create almost any Italian dish; as I really had a craving for it that’s what I went with. The only thing I could taste was salt. This was the most salty dish I’ve ever had. I might as well have taken a salt shaker and poured it into my mouth. I didn’t say anything as am not one to complain, and my fiancé wasn’t saying much about his dish, so I chugged a bunch of water and ate as much as I could. After we left my fiancé did mention that his dish was just ok, but nothing to rave about. The second time we went we ate at the bar and tried two pizza’s and the mussels. The best part about this meal were the mussels and they were bland at best. I cannot remember the pizza’s we ordered but just like the first time they were both so incredibly salty we couldn’t finish. They wrapped them up for us to go, but the second we got home they went straight to the trash. I dont ever write bad reviews but this was too awful not to. It’s a shame as it has really nice ambiance, but it just wasn’t a good experience for us.

I wish I lived near here so I could go every single day. Oh. So good. The pasta is fresh and melts in your mouth. The arancini is delightful. Our waiter was amazing. He was from Armenia and he was DELIGHTFUL. He entertained us the whole night. If I’m back in the area we’ll definitely go back.

Mediocre food. Inflated prices. My wife and I had dinner here for the first time on February 25th2016. The ambiance is pleasant and warm. The bar is cozy with colorful lighting. We ordered an appetizer which was sausage, with some Parmesan, and peppers. It was nothing special, and we were quite disappointed. I had angel hair pasta, for the main course, with meatballs. What surprised me was first of all the pasta was definitely not homemade but came from a box. Then, just the pasta and sauce cost $ 11 and I had to add another $ 5 if I wanted meatballs. So I round up paying $ 16 for a plate of out-of-the-box pasta and meatballs that were extremely dry and bland. My wife ordered the, I can’t think of the name, but ear– shaped pasta with meatballs. Hers was also made out of the box, and the meatballs were equally dry. Except hers cost $ 21!!! We could have had a much tastier, and much more affordable meal, at Maggiano’s. I would discourage anyone from going to this restaurant if you want genuine tasty Italian food. This is not the real thing, and way overpriced. We will not be returning. Paza Pomodoro, you failed.

This place was really great! We went yesterday(Monday) as a stand in for Valentine’s Day to avoid the crowds and drama. I had the fettucine gamberi e pesto and he had a personal pizza with pepperoni and bacon. We started with the mozzarella carroza which was more like a friend mozzarella sandwich(rather than sticks) but was really really good. Great dipping sauce. The fresh pasta was great and the shrimp were cooked well — portions are very big so I took about half home. My partner said the pizza was very good — nice crust and sauce. The bacon was more like a cured meat cube something(not thick cut bacon crumbles), but since bacon wasn’t even on the menu and they accommodated him I still give five stars for both our meals. We had some house prosecco which was a nice touch, and the waiter was good at recommending a beer on tap. I liked that he let me try a taster before bringing a pint — the worst is when someone recommends something and brings a full glass and then you’re kind of obligated to drink the thing. The whole meal and the dining experience was very great. The only part that was meh was dessert — I should’ve gotten the tiramisu like people here suggested but I’d never had panna cotta. I don’t think theirs is the shining example — maybe was chilled too much or something but the bottom was super gelatin. The flavor of the pudding/texture of the top part was good, but when we go back I think we’ll have gelato or the tiramisu. For what we got: two glasses prosecco, one pint beer, mozzarella app, two topping pizza, fettucine with shrimp main and shared panna cotta the total was $ 80. Given how nice everything was and having alcohol and apps too, I think that is a great deal for a more classy date night. Definitely coming again!

Came to try this place, as it had just opened a few weeks prior, and on a recommendation from a friend. Had my mother meet us for dinner one night… the first night they were open on Mondays. We got there, and we were the only people there to eat. Later, some other people showed up to head to the bar. THe dipping oil for the bread was fantastic! I love the spicy one… very tasty! I had ordered the Saltinbocca, a veal scallopini dish, that didn’t smell appealing, but tasted amazing. It was tangy, and a little saltier than I would have liked, but it was pretty good. I probably should have gotten something else, but, I was satisfied with this. I then had the cannoli for dessert… just like I like it. Yum! Since this was the first time I had been there, I definitely will go back. As a second, I work nearby, so we had some pizzas brought over. If we had eaten them right away, they probably would have been crispier crust wise, but they sat for about 15 minutes before eating, so the crust was soggy from the grease on the cheese… I love a greasy pizza, and feel thats the best part. The atmosphere and style in which the restaurant is set up, and the food, I really enjoyed it. I will be back there.

Overall, totally going back again. The food was really good! Note to the management: — the main dining room lighting is terrible. It is way too bright — the heating in the sunroom it so hot that we were sweating — agree with other reviews, the waiter was too busy to do a really solid job Hope all these kinks get worked out as this place has great potential.

Pazzo Pomodoro was A-OK. I would go back there to eat again, but it wasn’t so spectacular to outrank some other local places and make me want to come here instead of there. Noise level was pretty loud, but we were at least able to hear each other across the table and were able to communicate with our waiter. Service was friendly although not prompt. It wasn’t slow by any means, but there were several instances I was wondering when we were going to see our waiter again. The food was enjoyable. Nothing to write home to Mom about, but it was good. We started off with the caprese salad and lobster bisque. I had the lobster ravioli special and my wife had the spaghetti and meatballs. My food was fine. My wife said the meatballs were very good. Prices were about average for the area — mid teens for most pasta dishes, low twenties for higher end meat dishes. Everything on the menu looked and sounded good, and I had a hard time deciding what to order. I know the place is still pretty new /just recently opened. I suspect we’ll be back again sometime soon to give it another shot and try something else on the menu.

Finally. Finally. Finally. This area has been in desperate need of good Italian for quite some time. Pazzo Pomodoro fits that bill very admirably. My family and I had dinner here and were simply blown away by the friendly service, gorgeous setting and amazing food. From a very gracious welcome to excellent service and a friendly farewell, the people at Pazzo Pomodoro made us feel at home. And like any good home, the food was prepared wonderfully. I had the special linguine pescatore. The seafood was expertly cooked to perfect doneness. The sauce was light, yet very flavorful and deep. But, the star of the dish was the pasta itself. It was fresh, delicious and I could have eaten another bowl of nothing but pasta. In fact, all the pasta was amazing. From the kid’s spaghetti marinara to the paparadelle bolognese and the sublime fettucine salsa di noci, the pasta in each dish was an absolute delight. We’ve found our new favorite restaurant in the area. I just finished eating there about an hour ago and I’m already planning our return visit.

AMAZING! My husband I came here(with our toddler) on opening night. The place is small but the food is fantastic. This is by FAR the best and most authentic Italian we have found in Ashburn. Our waiter seemed a bit frazzled as he got a whole bunch of tables at once, but given that it was opening night, we gave him the benefit of the doubt. The host was so incredibly nice so the whole evening started off great. For drinks I got a glass of Prosecco and my husband ordered a glass of red wine. For appetizer we ordered the Mozzarella en Carozza(a fancy version of mozzarella sticks). The Mozzarella itself was a BIT bland however they give you a Spicy Marinara sauce to go with it which is amazing and very flavorful. For dinner I ordered the Ravioli Carne(meat filled ravioli) and my husband ordered the Margherita Pizza. Both were delicious — I loved the tomato cream sauce the ravioli came in and the filling was not only delicious, but it was proportionate to the pasta and it wasn’t too meat-y or too cheese-y. The Margherita Pizza was fantastic and had that amazing wood burned oven type of taste. For dessert we ordered the Chocolate Cake and Tiramisu. The Tiramisu was wonderful. The Chocolate Cake came with a raspberry sauce on top, which if that had that been written on the menu I would’ve asked them to leave it off as it was too sour, and I would’ve asked for a scoop of vanilla ice cream instead to balance the richness of the cake. Given that it was opening night all the food came out fairly quickly with no mishaps, so kudos to them on that! All in all everything was fantastic and we will most definitely be regulars here!
