My first visit at the Habit Burger Grill was overall a very positive experience. Chill music, relaxing West Coast feel, and soft lighting. The Habit is to the restaurant-goer’s senses what Jack Johnson’s music is to a listener’s ears. Easy, comfy, a place to get high-quality fast food without too much fuss or stress.(We went on a Tuesday night around 8:30pm and it wasn’t very crowded). I ordered the chicken club(sans mayo) at the recommendation of the staff. It was delicious and both I and my fiancé agreed that it was tastier than his teriyaki burger. Fries were thick and portion size was reasonable, even though we split a small size fries. We finished off our meal by sharing a mocha milkshake– it had just enough of a coffee taste to satisfy this coffee-lover, but was sweet enough to satisfy my non-coffee-drinking fiancé’s taste buds. Staff were friendly and accommodating, especially Xaria, who took our somewhat complicated order and nailed it. Manager was sitting at a table and was friendly to us. Great place to take the family or to have a casual date night.

This wasn’t good or bad. I felt like I waded through half of the burger before I actually got to the actual burger. Way too much lettuce and tiny patties. I think I would rather go to Fosters, Five Guys, Red Robin, BurgerFi instead. Fries were decent but nothing special. Sadly it was just meh. Probably won’t come back.

Have you had Burger King? OK, then go spend less money there for the exact same experience(and probably better fries). Seriously, this is just a flame-broiled burger aka it tastes and looks and is sized pretty much exactly like a Whopper. Which isn’t terrible, but why bother coming here? Also, they got my order wrong and even repeated the correct order to me as they pushed the wrong thing toward me on the tray. It was just that they left tomato and pickle on the burger when I ordered without, so I removed, no big deal. But look, just go to Five Guys and get 100x better food.

Second time I came in here. Came the week after they opened and went again today for a late lunch. Cheeseburger with fries was choice both times. Service was awesome. People working there are fast and attentive. The first time I got my burger was amazing. Today I don’t know it was good but the bottom of my bun was ice cold like it was in the fridge and there was a part of it missing. Flavor of burger was good and fries were just okay. Unfortunately there are so many burger places now a days that this one for me was just okay.

That steak sandwich is on point. Fast service. Lady taking our order was real friendly. I’ll def making this place a «habit.»

When I first walked in, I immediately felt comfortable and welcome at this burger joint. the menu was easy enough to decipher and I went with the #2 which is a double charburger with fries and a drink. The fries were«normal.» I felt like they were just a small upgrade from McDonalds French fries. The burger had two parties with mayo, lettuce, tomato, and onions on a lightly toasted hamburger bun. it was very tasteful and juicy. I want to give a shoutout to the service at this place which was a great addition to the food. I wouldn’t have a problem coming back here in the future

This place isn’t bad. If you’re in the area, need a quick bite, but don’t feel like punishing yourself at the ‘donalds, then this is a decent place to stop. On par with the other new chain burger joints in town.

Others have described it as a step above Wendy’s. A small step at best. The patty was much smaller than I expected for the price. 10 years ago, I would have probably been more excited. But with Melt and Burger 21 nearby, this is a passable burger. Not bad, but not great either. I did like the fixin’s bar with all of the hot sauces, and the employees were really nice.

This place is tricky territory. My review is only based on the burger, since that’s all I ordered. It’s cheap and fast and fresh… but is it worth it? Yeah… if you are in the area I would say. I had a teriyaki burger, and added bacon; no cheese. In short, my thoughts on the burger were –small patty(which can’t be cooked to order as far as doneness — or at least it wasn’t offered — lets just say it was cooked well done; but not burnt.) –lots of lettuce –drippy, because of the teriyaki I’m assuming –the bacon was burnt, and tasted burnt.(I like bacon crispy, but this bacon tasted burnt — unfortunately) –pineapple was good, tasted like pineapple That being said, the burger in total after adding bacon was $ 5. If I hadn’t ordered the bacon, it would have been about $ 4, for a burger with pineapple on it. If I were in the area again, I would give them another shot. For $ 4 or $ 5 bucks, you have yourself a burger that is certainly better than something like McDonalds, Burger King or Wendys(in my opinion — as all this stuff is), but is not in the same arena as something like Melt or Fuddruckers or some of the other dozens burger joints that have opened up. In my head, it’s kind of like the Chik-Fil-a of the burger world if that makes sense. Better than the cheap stuff, but not high end. Thanks for the Burger, Habit Burger!

Wanted to try this new place in Ashburn, VA because I heard alot of good things about it. The ordering line was pretty long but moved quickly. The wait staff was kind and made sure my(family) order was right(I had a bunch of questions about the food). The food was prepared quickly(CharBurger while my family members got A Teriyaki Charburger and BBQ Bacon Charburger). Burgers were okay(not great)…when they say Char they weren’t kidding. Flavor was okay. Recommend the Onion Rings(their batter was unique) which had a great crunch and taste(I would come back just for these). Shakes are excellent as well. The dining area is well maintained. However, indoor seating is limited as the indoor dining area is small. There is outdoor dining area but not good during a cold winter. I can say I tried the place. Hopefully others had a better experience.

Food = 3 stars. This place was okay for me. I tried the original charburger which was juicy and fresh tasting like everyone else said but they was no wow or «Mmmm this is good» moment. The lettuce was nice and fresh and crunchy which I appreciated. The sweet potato fries were kinda of dry. Since this place is cheap and literally right next to my house, I’d come again. But if I really wanted a nice burger I’d go somewhere else. Thanks for the excellent service though! +1 star for the friendly staff and clean restaurant.

Habit was A-OK. I would not object go going back there to eat, but it didn’t jump out at me as a place I would prioritize over some of the other great restaurants nearby. The burgers were good. The fries were meh. The onion rings were good. The milkshakes«made with real ice cream» taste like the kind that just have some sort of powdered flavoring mixed into it to create the flavor you ask for. Not worth the calories. It’s an order-at-the-counter and have a seat type of place. Service at the counter was polite and prompt.

My dad called me up and said he was craving a burger so I picked him up and we headed over with a bit of hesitation. Can’t find anything bad about this place. I really expected fast-food quality service and food but that’s not what we got! I ordered the original charburger and fries. The burger was so fresh and delicious. So great that I had to order a to-go patty for my dog. My dad ordered the mushroom char which looked BANGIN’ and some onion rings. The onion ring batter was amazing. I appreciate a place that actually seasons the batter and doesn’t just throw salt on after frying. Our bill was only $ 17 for everything, so yeah daddy-daughter dates will henceforth take place here!

The Habit Burger Grill is exactly how the Unilocal star rating describes: «A-OK» I was pretty excited to try this Cali burger joint that just opened up in Ashburn; however, I was left pretty disappointed. I ordered the original chargrilled burger with cheese with all the standard toppings(lettuce, mayo, onion, pickles, tomato). The burger was pretty underwhelming. I would suggest going a little lighter on the toppings because the topping to beef ratio was just completely off. My friend and I agreed that all we could really taste were the toppings. The patty is fairly thin and the burger itself was a tad bit on the salty side. The fries were cooked well and the portion size of it was good. What I did like was the hot pepper bar — I love adding heat to everything, so I really enjoyed having jalapenos readily available.

Went here today for lunch. Loved their Original Char-Burger! Tried their fries, onion rings & vanilla shake. All very good. Service was strong. Everyone seems pleasantly happy to be taking our order, etc., which is refreshing and rare. Bathrooms were very clean. It is very casual and priced accordingly. They have a typical«fast food”-type walk-up counter for placing & receiving orders. This was excellent as it minimizes the food-order-to-customer time frame. I am pleased to see this addition to Ashburn’s dining options. Will be back! An added plus: they open at 10:30am for those folks who need to grab an early lunch.

Food was great especially for the price. This is something to keep in mind. People may want to compare it to shake shack/five guys or something, which is a mistake. It’s $ 8 for the burger ALONE at shake shack/five guys. Here you get the burger fries and a drink for about $ 8. Habit burger is a great burger for the price. I liked their teriyaki burger, an option not offered at a lot of places, let alone quick service. I liked the Santa Barbara style as well. The onion rings were great and crispy. The shake was also very tasty. The place is clean and staff was great at accommodating any special requests. Not sure how you could give them less than 4 stars at this time keeping in mind it’s concept, good burgers at a reasonable price(unlike some places).

I guess I was expecting something more. I tried the char burger and got a side salad with it. The char burger tasted just like a Whopper jr and the side salad is about what you would expect to get from Wendys. Nothing here was horrible, but nothing stood out at all. I would probably drive down the street to Melt if I was really craving a burger though.

Another CA burger chain. That’s not a bad thing though … This is a pretty solid fast burger for a good price. Not a big fry eater, but the fries are pretty solid as well. Have had the salads and have always had good luck there too. They are offering«samplings» this week and opening on 5 Dec. I have also visited the Sunnyvale and Santa Barbara locations … this chain is often compared it to In-n-Out Burger … I disagree, this is a better burger. I’m not really an In-n-Out fan. That’s how you know I am not from Cali! This is a great addition to the NoVA food scene.

Solid burger place here! Nadine was a really sweet and patient cashier and she certainly helped me out since this was my first time coming here. Everything you see on the menu can be customized to what you want(mayo/no mayo, raw onions instead of caramelized onions, etc.) The burgers here are cooked fresh and you can tell they use fresh ingredients! Had a really great first impression, and will definitely come back here. I’m sure this will be my new place to go for burgers. It’s quite reasonably priced compared to your usual chains like Red Robin, etc. And as an added bonus: take a look at their nutritional info on their website and you’ll find that the calorie count for their original Charburger isn’t that bad if you’re on a diet!
