Friendly staff, service was good and fast. Food is tasty and not too salty. Their tea selection was amazing, highly recommend for tea drinkers. A lot of tea flavors to choose from. We got free dessert of warm custard and red bean bun. Place is small but we were accommodated in a timely manner. If your coming here with a big party you might be seated on different tables.

Great lunch special, great food. Menu has diverse selections that go beyond the average takeout menu. The quality, presentation and speed are all excellent.

Decided to order delivery on a Thursday afternoon. My friend was over with her kids and was also starving. We ordered using their online option(which is an automatic 10% off your bill). We had the orange chicken lunch combo that comes with rice, soup, fried spring roll and a salad all in a plastic bento box. We also ordered the combination lo mein and chicken with mixed veggies. All quick, delicious and the orange chicken is more meat than breading which is a win!

Overrated and pricy restaurant. I don’t mind restaurant charging high price but they have to deliver on the quality. I just order 3 dishes for delivery kapow chicken, crispy chicken and Thaiwan noodles with chicken. My god the food was horrendous, it is like they fried everything and delivered. Chicken is like rubber no taste and smelling bad too. Sesame Crispy chicken always used to my kids favorite, but today it was their nightmare. It was fried so much that there any chicken left and when we put the food in mouth forget about crispness, biting one piece of fried chicken is so chewy and hard. I paid $ 16 odd for this crappy dish. Coming to noodles dish it is equally horrible. The kapow chicken is like eating rubber, so dry. I eat so much Chinese food but this comes one of my all time crapy food. This is my first ever and last time I am going to visit this place. Stay away from this pricy restaurant.

Taiwanese fried chicken still very good, other dishes such as shrimp noodle soup is alright. Also kind of weird when you eat in and there are not a lot of customers, the servers kind of just stand around and watch you eat. A slightly uncomfortable environment.

AMAZING! Wow! I echo many of the other reviewers who state it is great food. I am on business and was staying at embassy suites — so kind they even brought me plate, utensils, etc. I ordered delivery — crispy beef, cucumber avocado salad and spring roll. They brought it and the crispy beef wasn’t covered so it stayed crispy even after delivery upon the first bite. The avocado cucumber salad was so fresh, crisp and light. The spring rolls also were crunchy and full of fresh ingredients. I would highly recommend trying this place for delivery if ever in town on business. Simply Delicious!

I am a fan. Small, family run, Chinese restaurant with great tasting food. My son and I frequent there and love their Hunan chicken and fried rice. The service has always been great. My favorite Chinese restaurant in the DC area.

Great Chinese and Taiwanese food. Definitely go beyond the General Tso/Orange Chicken and try some of the Taiwanese dishes, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Very good food. Finally I found a place to replace Hong Kong with. It looks like they actually use chicken breast for their General Tso chicken, first place I see that. The dumplings r delicious only down thing is the dipping sauce that comes with it, too salty.

Best dumplings in the world! lol Also try the orange chicken! they’re to die for! Ask for it crispy and you’ll love it that much more! If you have toddlers, you might want to find somewhere else to dine or at least make sure you are clear about the level of spices they have in the dish as that’s not always clearly noted on the menu. Our son wasn’t happy after trying some of the Orange chicken; it wasn’t spicy to me at all, but he seemed to think so. All in all, great flavor! Great staff!

I can’t get enough of Yen’s café. The food is outstanding flavor quality and service. I have taken many friends and they all agree it is delicious. Definitely the best Chinese restaurant in Ashburn, no need to drive any further to enjoy an authentic first class Chinese dish

What happened to their Crab Rangoon? I always get it as a carry out item but they barely fill it up anymore. All I get are fried pastry shells with a meagre amount of filling! There is probably ¼ to ½ teaspoon(if I am lucky) of filling inside each one. This has happened too many times to ignore. I am not going to pay $ 8 for 6 tiny empty fried shells again. I bet if I ate inside they would not do that because it’s easier to complain and request a better batch. As I much as I love them when they’re made right, no more carry out crab rangoon for me! They’re made cheaply now when you pick them up to go.

We went here because everyone seems to recommend this place so we thought we had to give it a try and we were really disappointed. We said maybe we ordered wrong so we got delivery a few weeks later and still bad. I think that is all hype at this point. If you like NY style Chinese carry out I prefer Asia Café or if you like a higher end Chinese try Opera.

I didn’t dine at the restaurant but I did order the Taiwanese chicken nuggets to go. I would say it’s the best Taiwanese chicken nuggets I’ve had in the area. Definitely on the same level as a lot of the spots in Houston and Southern Cali.

Fantastic experience on a long awaited visit to have a taste of homestyle deliciousness from my Momma’s motherland. I’ll say it has the hospitality, specialty dishes, and ambiance that the Taiwanese can offer. It was a humid day and the staff was doing it’s best to keep the air flowing through the place. The management was great at visiting tables and checking on their patrons. The food was fresh and appealing, served promptly to our table. The dishes were creative and bountiful. The tea was delicious! It was especially delightful when the staff sang, «Happy Birthday,» to me and gave me a balloon animal and cupcake with maraschino cherry.

To start with, it’s probably the best Chinese food around. A small place in ashburn, I wasn’t expecting the food to be this great. And the variety of teas is just mind blowing. Being a vegetarian I generally have very few choices, but this place has an amazing list of options. The king oyster mushrooms and tofu with Long chill is the blend of perfect spice and taste. I have been here a few times and have never been disappointed with the food. The service is amazing and people are very friendly. To top it all, they give these desert buns in the end which is a perfect end to the meal. :) Would definitely be coming back here and suggest this place to all my friends.

I come here often with my co-workers for lunch — they have a great lunch special that comes with soup, side salad, egg roll, rice, and the entrée of your choice. all for ~$ 10. I can be picky when it comes to Chinese takeout, but I really enjoy their Hunan beef/pork/chicken. I also really like their complimentary sweet buns(filled with red bean or yellow custard). Service is always fast and attentive. We’ve also tried ordering«family style» for lunch — can be a little pricier, but the variety and quality of the dishes is better. Unfortunately I can’t remember the dishes we ordered, but I remember them being more authentic and quite tasty.

We don’t live in Ashburn but we work there. One of my co-workers, who is Taiwanese, highly recommended this place for authentic Taiwanese food. So we decided to have dinner here. I also heard it was a very small place and reservations were a must. NOKIDDING!!! There were no more than 7 tables/seating areas. Most of the customers were take out orders. We were greeted and I asked for someone who could speak fluent Taiwanese. They were impressed with me speaking Taiwanese to them. I asked them what their specialties were and what they recommended. Not all items on the menu are available and some not menu items are available. Ask your server for details. For appetizers, my wife insisted spring rolls and dumplings as our toddler would definitely eat those items. I asked what«authentic Taiwanese» item was available. Our server recommended braised tofu skin cause it’s not usually available on a daily basis. Other items he recommended but we didnt order this time around were the braised pork belly(they braised the sauce with tofu skin as well) & Taiwanese fried chicken. We received the braised tofu skin but I was the only one who ate it. Man it took me back to my youth. That’s a sign of good AUTHENTIC home style cooking. It didnt have that restaurant flavor. It tasted like my mom cooked it for hours. The dumplings were the same. Delicious! As for the spring rolls, they were restaurant quality spring rolls. When the shrimp and scallops dish came out, the flavors were sweet and salty. My wife ordered non-spicy so it wasnt as good as I would have liked it. Plus the scallops and shrimp were way overcooked and were hard and flavorless. We let the server know and he apologized. He said he would let the ched know. Other than that, the food was wonderful. The service was great(maybe cause I was Taiwanese) and they took a liking to my son. They played with him, made him a balloon sword and gave him a lollipop! They dont take AMEX but take V/MC/DS. We’ll be back to try other homestyle dishes! One last thing… not inexpensive… moderate in price! But you get what you pay for. In Taiwanese, «Ho-cha!»
