Fantastic food. Ordered the Cuban sandwich. Being from Miami this is a hard feat to accomplish. The meats were beyond fresh. The flavor was beyond comparison. Really great food

Wonderful environment, excellent salads, truffle fries a little too rich for me. Excellent crispy bacon in the salad.

This is an adorable little restaurant/bakery in Asheboro that a friend of mine recommended for a weekday lunch. I arrived a little before noon and was able to find parking in a gravel lot behind the restaurant(I don’t know if the parking was for employees or customers or both, but no one towed me off). Otherwise, there is on-street parking surrounding the restaurant. I wandered in and was momentarily confused about the seating process, but a fellow customer handed me a menu and informed me it was self seating. However, you have to wait in line to reach the counter to order your food, and then you are given a number placard. When your food is ready, they bring it out to you wherever you have chosen to sit. I didn’t like this process. It was noonish, and the customer line snaked through the entire restaurant from the counter all the way to the door. This meant people were standing next to several of the tables where others were trying to eat. It was just awkward and crowded. The only other thing that sort of miffed me was they were out of at least some aspect of each and every thing my friend and I ordered. Whether it was a sandwich component, a beverage selection, a bread type, whatever, we had to modify our entire orders as we went along. The food we actually ended up with was very good, though. The restaurant interior is soooo cute, from the little flower arrangements on the tables to the glass milk bottle chandelier on the ceiling. They also have a small patio out front.

Stopped here on my lunch from out of town and I couldn’t have been happier, the BLT avocado smash was awesome and the petite salad was also! Got dessert Togo and I will be back next time I’m in town!

Tried this restaurant enroute to the North Carolina Zoo. It’s located in a quaint little brick building across the street from the Farmers Market. I would have definitely liked to sit outside, but I had the kiddos and I didn’t feel like being on hawk mode ensuring they didn’t run out into the street. The décor inside is that hip farm house look that is all the rage(think fixer upper on HGTV). Right when you walk-in there are menu’s on clip boards. It’s a simple one, so I wasn’t in line looking forever. I had the smoked turkey sandwich with truffle fries, my wife had the grits and egg plate, the kids shared a blue berry muffin. You order and then they bring it out. The wait wasn’t long and the muffin kept the children pre-occupied. Oh, was stoked that they had a high-chair for the one year old. The sandwich was great and the truffle fries were a treat(no where as good as hopdoddy’s in Austin, TX). The wife’s meal was great, but it was a large portion and we ended up wasting some of it. Overall I was impressed and glad I had chose the restaurant, a definite highlight of my trip to the Zoo.

Wow!!! Just wow!!! I mean this French-southern bistro is the best resturuan of its kind I have ever been too! Devore is perfect! Good sun light! Great natural wood grains, just fab! I had the pimento grilled cheese with bacon which was spot on!!! And for 10 $ it was certified perfect!!! Then came the fries!!! Perfectly salted!!! Smaller then skinny fries which at first I was confused, then I realized it was to maximize the surface area for the truffle oil they fries it in!!! I was in heaven!!! I felt bonded to Gia and wanted more!!! And for another 10 $ I would gladly do it all over again!!! Now it’s macaron time!!!

We got there after 2:30pm, when they stopped serving lunch/brunch, and we still LOVED it. Everything we got was good: –coffee(top notch) –tea(my wife loved hers) –some scone –some knish –lemon chess pie Great vibe inside, cool location right across from the farmers market and a reclaimed loft downtown Asheboro.
