The guy who runs the store is very unpleasant unless you are his friend – and then he has all the time in the day. If you have a coupon, it’s worse. I bought two coupons and dreaded going in to use the second one since my first experience was so… humbling. The product is pricey. Never again

On the plus side, we got a couple of pretty large tubs of soaking salts for $ 25 each and there were numerous scents to mix and match. That said, we won’t be stopping by again. I took my daughter thinking, «This will be a fun little outing!» but I was terribly disappointed by the less-than-friendly service and the ‘blah’ experience. The gentleman working didn’t greet us when we entered, seemed irritated by my(very limited and reasonable) questions, showed zero enthusiasm and did not engage with my child at all. In addition to the poor customer service, their online hours don’t match the actual store’s hours, so don’t bother going on a Sunday. I can’t recommend it.

My husband and I used to love this store. On my last visit the man working wasn’t very nice and seemed he’d rather be elsewhere. I asked for my regular order and he refused saying it was against the company policy to create my bubble bath salts the way I’ve always gotten them. I feel if we’re paying $ 32 for bubble bath it should be done the way I want it to be done. After all, the company is based on «custom» bath items. In the past the people working in the shop have been awesome and nice. I doubt we’ll be back. In Asheville there are a ton of local businesses that genuinely want support and have a much better product. The reason we loved Bath Junkie was for the custom experience and creating exactly what we wanted. I feel that isn’t the case any more.

I’m somewhat of a perfume addict. Needless to say, this shop’s premise of mixing your own scents really grabbed my attention. There are a ton of base notes to pick from, as well as papers to mix them on. Once you find a combo you like, you can have any number of bath products made from it(bubble bath, perfume, lotion, even doggie shampoo). The products themselves are pretty overpriced. $ 18 for bubble bath is way, way too much. However, I made a body spray because it was more reasonably priced at $ 8. The woman working here was friendly and helpful. It’s definitely a cute place to stop in.

I recently went here in search of a new lotion because the shop next door did not have what I was searching for. Bath Junkie seems like a fun place to go with a group of friends and I did happen to like the fragrance combining, somewhat of a Jo Malone-esque idea. The lotion I created was lovely and a nice warm fall scent and the lotion is pretty moisturizing. I like the scents I can create however the lotion is not as lovely as I would like. Definitely a fun place you can entertain yourself.
