Carnival Corner

Went in for take-​out; food was not good & took about 45 minutes to make (we were the only customers). Noone could even answer basic questions about the ingredients. Fries were soggy and burnt; meat was extremely overcooked/​dry; very young teens making the food & didn’t seem to know what they were doing. By the time they actually finished our food it was ALL cold and/​or burnt. I really, really wanted to like the food, but this was NOT like carnival foods. Most of it went straight in the trash when we got home… shame.

Food isn’t bad but nothing special. The corn dogs are just from the freezer but the burgers were fresh. The lemonade however isn’t very strong and you get one small cup for $ 2.50. I thought that was over priced.

I tried this food for the first time today, It was good. There was plenty of seating inside. I ordered a Gyro, Fries and a Sweet Tea. The Gyro was good, I believe it is the Gyro meat fried on a grill so some pieces were not real juicy, but the proportions of meat to lettuce to cucumber sauce was spot on. The fries were delicious just like the fries you get at the fair, I appreciate that he did not salt the fried he offered me salt with them. I like to be able to salt to taste instead of getting overly salted fries. Last but not least the sweat tea, perfectly sweetened and a decent size cup for a buck. I was very satisfied with my first experience and would recommend this place to anyone, they have something on the menu for just about anyone. I’m looking forward to going back and trying more of what he has to offer.

My star rating does not change for this location. Although today me and a coworker went their at 12:30, their were 5 people in front of us. One guy received his food and the other four ordered. We were then presented with the question if we were in a hurry, we said no (assuming we have an hour lunch and that would give plenty of time). We waited 50 minutes and in that time the four people that were ahead of us had yet to receive their food. So we decided we better go elsewhere. It seems like they are still getting things figured out and getting in the rhythm of things. I really hope this restaurant pulls together and thrives, It is nice to have this variety of food as an option for lunch. I’m still going to go back and try more of their food.
