What do you need to say about a legacy establishment like this? Family owned, best coffee in the Valley, great people. That’s what I’ll say. And, while the coffee might not appear inexpensive, it’s because you are paying for what you get, and what you get doesn’t get any better. Staff here are amazing, and while it’s got a «hip» vibe, it’s also welcoming and warm. The staff clearly care about you having the best coffee experience you’ve ever had, and they make it worth it: you will learn about the coffee, and they will provide you options on how you can sample multiple offerings to get the full experience. Very relaxed vibe overall, much a college scene for pulling up a book/laptop, cuppa, and getting into it for a few hours. OR, you can come with a friend or two, and just chill out and talk. I’ve been here two or three times over the years, and never been let down. Do it. If you like the very best in coffee(ala Stumptown, etc.) then this is your kind of place. And, while I didn’t touch the sweets in the display case, they looked darn tasty too!

Our family loves coffee. When traveling, we intentionally seek out small coffee roasters. Case Coffee is absolutely awesome. We enjoyed talking with the owners, they were super friendly and informative. We love that they direct source their coffee from the farm. Their single origin coffees are fantastic.

Great coffee, lattes & hot cocoa. Very kind staff. We love stopping in Ashland during our travels to visit family. We will be adding Case to our«must go» road trip stops! Oh, AND they have VEGANDONUTS!!! Yeah!!!

So, if you are finding yourself in the Ashland Oregon area and are in need of a decent hot/cup of java drink, and/or a pastry, then look no further than the Case Coffee Roasters. Nice place, located very close to the OSU. Ambiance is casual, music relaxing(not too loud), and furniture is distinctly ‘Oregonian’(IE, well made wooden chairs, benches, & tables). I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they actually sell vegan donuts!!!(Note: very fresh & good tasting … try the green tea option … yum!). Having just arrived to the area, I’ve noticed that the service and attitude are both kind and helpful.

Case coffee roasters has a great atmosphere to enjoy a perfect cup of coffee. Smooth, rich, aromatic, and not pretentious; it’s just great coffee.

Had a cold brew. It was mild, smooth, and very tasty. This is a great place. I loved the air plants used as décor and the lighting as well! Beautiful space.

One star for this hipster coffee bar. Baristas have a set way of making your drink the way they want, not the way you want. Worst coffee ever and returned it back to its creator. Should have stayed in my cozy car and went to Dutch Brothers.

Snall, modern and hip spot down by SOU, with the best coffee in Southern Oregon. While you can purchase their beans at Market of Choice, stock up at home, it’s a treat to stop in their roaster for a pour over done to perfection and super knowledgeable team. I’ve enjoyed every blend, hands down all are fantastic! Thank you, Case.

2nd best coffee in Ashland. Great consistent service and delicious coffee. We get coffee here whenever we happen to be on this side of town.

A representative from Case came and visited one of our coffee club meetings. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of coffee Case has to offer. We were able to try 6 different beans from many different regions, a few including Kenya, Guatemala, Colombia and Ethiopia. I applaud the owners for maintaining a direct and close relationship with the farmers from which they receive their coffee beans from. The next week I visited case to try their house brew and it was just as fantastic as I remembered it the previous week. It’s a young environment with very fun succulent décor. Go case coffee you rock!

Reviews don’t lie. the people of Unilocal have once again spoken the truth. Case Coffee is amazing on all levels; quality of coffee and edibles, service above and beyond! Glad my wife and I found this adorable place, located right on the main boulevard across from the front of Ashland’s southern Oregon university. The latte was perfect on all levels and the biscuit was homemade and hearty(jam, too). The drink looked like the pictures which doesn’t happen often. Anyways thumbs way up! Check out Case and enjoy ;)

Very, very good coffee, definitely 5 stars on its own. The best espresso in town, most likely. The only reason I sometimes choose Mix over them is because it is closer to my house. Another reason is because Mix has better and more, pastries. The staff also seems great. Always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I think people may assume its snobby by the outside appearance or décor, but this just isn’t true. I think they were simply trying to match their outsides with their high quality coffee insides. When this is the case,(no pun intended!), then it works out and makes sense. Its only when a place is overly hip/pretentious with shitty coffee that I go, poo poo. If Case stepped up their pastry game, they would have a 5+++ stars from me. Vegan donuts are great and all but they aren’t gonna always cut it.

My favorite place in town. Cool place to hang out and their coffee is the best. Passes the cappuccino test of no sugar required. Iced Mochas are also very good, not overly sweet.

Best coffee I’ve had in a long time. Very friendly staff, soothing ambiance, cozy, cute place! They do take a long time to prepare your drink(I’ve never been to a place that takes this long) but the coffee is worth the wait.

I go here a few times a week. It’s a great location for students like me. Their nitrogen packed cold brew comes out of the tap like a rich Guinness… most of the time. Sometimes it’s old and does not have the froth which is a disappointment. However, when it’s fresh, it’s the best! Thank God they provided plenty of electrical outlets when renovating. Thank you. Inside are thick wooden tables to sit & surf at, unless you arrive during rush hour, then there is nowhere to sit and you have to leave. I respect and appreciate the fact that they roast their own beans and make special blends for the customers. However, in my perfect world, they would stop roasting a few seconds earlier, leaving a lighter, more caramel-like roast, similiar to Stumptown beans. Ways to improve my stars: 1. Clean your bathroom! I have never seen it clean. Ever. 2. Decrease your roasting time. Or at least provide a bean that is not charred. 3. Offer more healthy food options such as bran muffins, soup, humus & veggie plate. 4. Encourage your larger female barista to give a shit about the customers. Seriously, if you just clean your bathroom, I’ll up my stars to 4.

03⁄09 Smooth and very good. Blueberry muffins(at 4:30) also very good. I will come again! NOTE: Some wise guy has thought it(funny) to add his mark of FUNNY to all my reviews? Why I have no idea. This immediately right after I gave a certain establishment a good review. Please ignore.

They make the best hot Mocha I’ve ever had! The flavor was rich and smooth. It tasted like a blend of dark coffee, dark chocolate, and regular coco, but whatever the ingredient was, I really want the recipe! It was worth every dime. The temperature of my Mocha was perfect. It wasn’t too hot nor too warm. I was able to drink it immediately without burning my mouth. Most coffee places I’ve been to make their coffee way too hot to drink immediately. Thank you for making my Mocha perfectly perfect!

GREAT coffee — slowest service in town. I got about every six months b/c I want their coffee(and their shop is cute and hip too) — but EVERYTIME its a VERYVERY slow wait while the coffee makers chat it up with whomever, don’t help the folks in order(today they took a person sitting down order BEFORE mine even though I was next in line — that person should have got behind me and they ordered FOUR coffees.). The wait is unbearable — not worth the coffee. I don’t feel special here.

Case Coffee caught my eye immediately as our school bus rolled into town. I’m embarassed to both realize and admit this, but the first thing I look for when trying to ground myself in a new place is a great coffee place. I had no idea that Ashland had it THIS good. Ok, the first day I got there, the woman who served me with surly. She wasn’t so into my request(for my coworker) for a latte without foam, because they do «microfoam” — that creamy, perfect, art-friendly foam that is what all lattes should be made with. But maybe she is totally over people coming in with the wondrous, hillbilly look I probably had on my face when I walked in the front door. Either way, the latte was great, and the dude working the bar was very pleasant. That is really all that I could ask for. The aesthetic of the shop reminds me of hipster cafes in SF(like Ritual) or Oakland(Blue Bottle); wood accents everywhere with a bright, clean look. As much as I hate gentrification in the Bay Area and the hipsters that suckle on the wounds of «renovated» neighborhoods like entitled gnats, Case has the look without the actual hipster ‘tude. They have communal tables and counters, and customers who will actually look up from their laptops to chat(Flip and Molly!). Succulents add a touch of green here and there in precious wooden flowerpots. One quarter of the room is dedicated to their coffee roaster, where apparently they host coffee tasting lessons. I was very tempted to get one of their homemade biscuits with jam, but didn’t want to pony up the $ 2.50 for it. Maybe I’m really missing out. But I’ll be there every morning for coffee until I leave.
