Changing Reins

This is a nice little spot with upscale consignment tack and cute horsey gifts in adorable downtown Ashland. I called one morning to inquire about consigning some things and a very friendly gentleman helped me on the phone. He said he always encourages people to call ahead in case the store isn’t interested in a particular item, to save them a potentially unnecessary drive. I stopped by later the same day to drop off a few things to consign and the woman at the front desk took my items (Ariat boots and a Charles Owen helmet) and helped me through a very thorough set of agreement forms. She was professional and efficient, but not terribly warm — I walked all the way to the desk in the back and stood there a minute before she even acknowledged me. Still, I plan to return here in the future if I need a good deal on gently used higher-​end tack.
