I regularly order out (online), and have dined in several times.
Food is always good.
I like their Panang curry, and you can’t go wrong with egg rolls!

Good taste and interesting selection — the usuals plus some interesting items. No regular egg rolls was a bit depressing, and the chicken wings were pretty bad.
Definitely going back and will probably become our Ashland Chinese.

I have been coming to this restaurant since it reopened as the Golden Leaf. Our first experiences were wonderful. Food was wonderful, service was great, restaurant was clean, people were friendly. It remained that way for a long while. Of late, The last 3 months, the quality of the food has dropped to the point where as I write this, I wonder if I will try it again. They did away with the lunch combos (did not tell us when we called in our lunch order using the phrase COMBO). I could live with that. The food though has gotten to the point where I ask myself why am I eating here. The fried rice I ordered today was rice with soy sauce and some oil. Nothing else (they used to use veggies in it and meat). The entrees were bland and the sauces watery. I also ordered hot and sour soup. It was physically cold when I got it out of the bag (8 minute drive). If I am going to spend 26.00 for lunch, I am going to go to another restaurant in town that provides a little higher quality.

Great place! Was afraid to go in due to lack of cars there but had a wonderful meal! I don’t think it has been discovered yet! The Hunan Chicken was great. The service was friendly and fast. I can’t wait to try other things on the menu!

Diving home to richmond we spotted this place for a late lunch and it was perfect. It’s has a small hole in the wall feel but don’t be turned off! It was Fast, clean, and most important the food was really fresh and tasty. I got the drunken noodles and they had a ton of flavor and a light sauce. My husband got the basil chicken and again a ton of flavor. There were a lot of veggies and they were really fresh. I would go back again.

I’m new to the area so I thought I would try Golden Leaf takeout this past Friday. I had the pad thai and my wife had beef with broccoli. I give them credit for taking creative license with these traditional dishes, which is why they scored a 2 instead of a 1. That being said, neither of us finished the meal. We’ll try again in a few months since it is a new restaurant but, for now, we’ll try another Asian restaurant to get our fix.

Best oriental food in Ashland. I had the hot and sour soup — delicious flavor but could have been served at a warmer temperature. Also ordered the basil chili chicken– you can choose your protein and then select from 4 – 5 different Thai preparations. The dish was very good with lots of sliced chicken breast and a variety of fresh veggies. They also have a fair number of tofu and/or vegetable dishes so vegetarians should be satisfied. The waitress was polite and attentive without being annoying. Encourage others in Ashland to give this place a try– much better food and more organized than the restaurant that was previously at this location.
