I have been here several times. The service is variable and the management is as well. The last time I went, I got sick. I asked about the ingredients and they assured me they knew and it was safe. It was not. I will not go back.

We’ve been in aspen for 6 days and had our last dinner here. The food and service were fine but we were seated in a booth near the bar area. Every time a patron entered or exited the restaurant, we were hit by an Arctic blast. The meal suffered as a consequence. Make sure you don’t get seated in this area if you want to enjoy your dinner.

My sister and I had a great time and meal at BB’s. The place was hopping on a Wednesday night despite it being the off-season. We snagged seats by the fire and perished the menu. John, the bartender, was extremely friendly and helpful and let us sample a number of wines before we made our selection. The list of wines by the glass was long and varied. For food, we elected to have the kale and Brussels sprout salad, which was huge and delicious, followed by the grilled portobello mushroom, which was flavorful but had a little bit too much cheese for my palette. Overall it was a fun place to dine with a lively atmosphere, great service, good food and excellent wine. I look forward to going back!

We really enjoyed our experience at BB’s for our last dinner in Aspen. It was still lovely weather in the city so we enjoyed the rooftop, and had a quiet little 2 top to ourselves. The service was fantastic… there wasn’t a moment that we felt we were getting too much/too little attention. At the times when our server was swamped by a HUGE party nearby, other employees such as a manager and a busser AND the host stepped in to ensure that we didn’t feel slighted. The food itself was also very very good — we sort of chose a mixed bag of things to have — marinated nuts/olives, a pork belly small plate, duck fat fries, and s’mores desserts. I wouldn’t have changed a thing… everything was fantastic. It was truly fine dining at a decent price. Of course it’s a little pricier sort of restaurant, but this one is truly worth it judging from the experience that we had there. We will definitely be back next time we’re in Aspen!

This place deserves five stars! Great location, outdoor seating and a personable waitress. The host checked on us throughout the night, the kind gentleman who filled our waters was great(I probably drank 6 glasses and he always was there with extra water and a smile) and the kind girl who switched our butter knives for steak knives was a peach. The food was fresh, we ordered the flat iron streak and duck breast, and the desserts were delicious and light! To anyone coming to Aspen who wants a nice night out, at a good price, this is the spot! And of course because I always adds this in … They were knowledgeable and courteous in regards to allergens! Overall: great service and great food — don’t overlook this spot!

Patio lunch with gorgeous mountain view in the back. Chicken sandwich with fried bread for lunch was also very good. I wish I could sit out here for hours but I’m here for work not for fun.

Kale salad with brussel sprouts and apples was delicious. They were out of fish tacos at 12:15 on a Saturday(and that’s why we went). Settled for falafel that was ok but not great.

I am going to let you in on a little secret here… One of the best bars in Aspen. Best burger in Aspen. Maybe the best and affordable wine list in Aspen(nice Oregon whites) We wanted to keep it local but now the secret is out :-) Gorgeous patio overlooking the mountain. Great staff and bartenders. This place has it going on. Brunch is great sitting outside.

Appetizers taste just like any three star Unilocal restaurants, very plain, their pasta is good. Place is very crowded and small.

Amazing! Great restaurant in the heart of Aspen, the«big eye ahi carpaccio» was outstanding! Just delicious! The Brandt beef ribeye was great and the buffalo filet mignon also great, for dessert the s’mores ice cream is also very good. Great service and nice atmosphere.

I don’t ski, and I don’t do cold, so I eat. A lot. For this Georgia-born snow virgin’s first trip to the arctic tundra of Aspen, I had the opportunity to stuff myself at at least one different restaurant every day, and sadly, BB’s took a definitive last place during my week-long vacation. The number one reason? The wait — two hours for food in a pretty empty place without apology is pretty frustrating. There was a point where we asked our server to forget about the entrees for all of us. Once my stomach started shriveling in pain, my antelope entrée arrived devastatingly overcooked, on a bed of potatoes that I had asked to sub out. The 4 year old at our table, who ordered a cheeseburger off the kids’ menu, was served a frighteningly bloody rare patty, likely scaring him into an endless future of McDonald’s. Not good. The menu sounded so good, and the comfortably modern and just-loud-enough ambiance was awesome — hence, one of the two stars. The second star goes to the refill-happy waiter, who kept us hydrated as our starvation worsened. Maybe it was a hunger hallucination, but he winked every time he poured. Awesome. No desire to see-see if BB’s improves their game(literally, as well — the antelope needs work!). Too many other spots in Aspen worth trying!

If you’re looking for a fine dining restaurant with a pompous attitude, sky high prices and portion sizes so small you leave hungry, then this place is not it. BB’s in Aspen does great food in a cool, casual atmosphere. The menu is diverse and creative offering a wide variety of dishes without getting confused. Each item was prepared simply and respectfully to showcase the quality of each ingredient. Each plate was executed beautifully. We tried several menu items including the DLT, burrata salad with fresh white peaches and heirloom tomatoes, lobster salad, and antelope with risotto. Everything was great, perfectly prepated, thoughtfully presented. There are many other menu items I want to back for. There are many gluten free options, and they can accommodate many special dietary needs, as I am on a no-sugar anti-candida protocol. In a town that can sometimes have excessive attitude, BB’s is a welcome change of pace.

Do you like FOODPOISIONING? Keep reading then… Let’s see… where do I start. My whole family was in Aspen and a few of us were leaving the very next day so we decided a family dinner was in order. BB’s was chosen since none of us had ever eaten there and they could accommodate our party. We walk in– nice restaurant, good ambience– horrible table set up. It was a long booth set against a wall with chairs on the opposite side of the booth. Oh, you are the person that has to sit booth side with the wall to your right– oh, wait did you say you need to go to the bathroom? Hold on, because4−5 people have to scotch out of the booth to let you out and then back in. Really people? Come on! The staff there is so inexperienced and unprofessional it’s pathetic. They have no idea what they are doing. For the prices you pay the service should be much better. We were a party of 10 and had random people wait on us, not sure who our main server was. Multiple times we had to ask for utensils as they took them away after appetizers or salads and didn’t replace them. Kids never got the drinks they ordered until we reminded the server and by kids I mean between the ages of 14 – 10. They can speak for themselves and know how to dine. Let talk food: Mom ordered the chef’s selection which is various courses. The courses were brought out inconsistently and not in a timely manner of when the rest of us got our food. Server brought one course and couldn’t tell us what was on the top of the dish. She had to go ask the chef, who either told her and she didn’t hear or he told her incorrectly. We are experienced diners and my parents, well they know a thing or two about food. When she came back and said it was fois gras, my mom looked at all of us with this look of no way! It wasn’t fois gras, maybe a fois gras pâté, but that’s not the same. We all ordered multiple dishes. I along with 3 others orders the ahi tacos, which going down were great! Let’s go to 1 – 2 days later. Fish tacos– not so good anymore. 4 of us, sick as a dog! My 11 year old nephew, my sister, sister’s boyfriend and myself… I’m 6 months pregnant. We are all violently ill with FOODPOISIONG! Luckily 3 of us were already in the comforts of our own homes to ride it out. I had to get a prescription from my dr to make it stop– to let me be able to drink water so I didn’t dehydrate! The 4th person had to deal with this in transit going home! That was awful. My parents who stay in Aspen a month are still there. Mom calls BB’s to speak to the«manager» she says was very unprofessional about it all. He says: 1. «We all ate them last night and are fine.» Great response manager– did you learn that in your hotel and restaurant management classes? Probably not, because you are just some random who needed a job. Well, we ate them 5 nights ago– you think y’all had the same piece of fish we ate? Hi moron manager 2, «Are you sure it wasn’t the flu?» This is a laughable response! I am a teacher and I don’t even get the flu from my students! 4 of us just happened to get the«flu» after eating the same item from your establishment? You really are an idiot. Basically, he has no response because he has no idea what he’s doing. Mom then tells him she’s giving the health dept a call and he doesn’t say much. I don’ think he even knows what that means. So there you have it-$ 600 bill and 4 of us sick… do I recommend? NEVER! There are so many better places, with better food and service in Aspen.

What can I say about BB’s that’s positive? The two stars represents the very good service and good coffee. Our waiter was very attentive and informative on the area. Also enjoyed the background music and atmosphere. Unfortunately we did not go to learn about the area and just drink coffee. We wanted a good place to eat lunch while visiting Aspen for the day. It was very disappointing as the items on the menu sounded delicious. Nothing is worse than getting a dish that sounds great but presentation and taste is terrible. I had the«DLT» and it had so much mayonnaise(ugh) that it made everything else in the sandwich bland including the duck and duck bacon. The avocado was not very good either. Side salad was the best part. My wife ordered a panini, which seems hard to mess up. Bread was not good and it was soggy. Maybe we ordered the wrong items, but I suggest do some research before going as it definatley is not worth the price.

Quietly excellent Aspen dining spot that recently refined its menu, emphasizing small dishes with a global influence. Try the excellent grilled sardines, shishito peppers, or the pierogi for starters, and the«simply prepared» rib eye is an excellent finish to a hard day on the slopes. French fries are not something I typically mention, but BB’s fries are superb. BB’s makes a terrific roast chicken as well, though you will need to give the restaurant advance notice or be prepared to wait 40 minutes.(It looked worth the wait on both visits.) The children’s menu is a nice value, too, particularly BBQ ribs and the kid’s rib eye, and a warm flour-less chocolate dessert certainly got attention from all at our table. I like BB’s a lot – it’s a modern, upstairs spot with a cool décor, and it’s a satisfying way to end the day.(The wine selection looked nice, too, though Aspen’s mountain-high altitude kept me from indulging too much.)

I ate in the lounge with a party of 4 for brunch on a Sunday. It’s a great 2nd story location with lots of natural light. The pork belly hash with sweet potatoes and poached eggs was super tasty. Just the right amount of sweetness. Huevos rancheros was not overwhelmed with red chili but was well balanced and had good flavor. The bagel sandwich wasn’t a stand out(compared to everything else on the table) but still solid. Lyonnaise potatoes were well prepared and had the right amount of «crunch». I did however, find a thick strand of cloth baked into my bagel. No bigs, eat around it. The monkey bread was perfect to share with the table. It contained larger pieces than what I’m used to and a bit burnt on top but it’s monkey bread… mmm…

I always eat at BB’s while in Aspen. I normally come for Brunch and meet a group of friends. Everything on the menu is awesome and I had the bottomless bloody mary for $ 15! It worked out well for me. We always order the monkey bread(AMAZING) and the lemon ricotta pancakes!!! I would weigh 20lbs more if I lived in the same city as this place! The décor is awesome and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Next time I go, I would like to try the Maine Lobster Benedict. I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu at this place. Enjoy!

I’ve consistently been hearing that BB’s is the place to go for breakfast/brunch in Aspen, so I finally decided to give it a go. Star 1: How was the service and atmosphere? Good and Good. You can tell this is where all of the ski instructors work in the off-season, but that’s not a bad thing. The staff were knowledgeable and accommodating, and our food came out quick. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? Alas, this is where my first issue cropped up. Yes, it’s Aspen, so you can expect that 30% of the cost is because you’re in Aspen, but we’re talking breakfast here. These aren’t luxury ingredients that need to be trucked in from Denver on the daily. I opted for the Fire-Roasted Green Chili Pork Stew. For $ 12.00 pre-tax? I was expecting a colossal pot. That’s not quite what I got: $ 12? No. No Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? The stew was both unique and satisfying, but I kept thinking back to the fact that I was likely going to pay $ 15 for it after tax and tip. Even on the merit of taste alone, it didn’t completely blow my socks off. Single Star Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? Nah. Unfortunately, I felt like I was paying for the décor and location as opposed to the actual meal I was eating. I’ve experienced better. No Star Granted.
