I came across this place on Unilocal and decided to check it out for a late lunch on a Saturday. It is located above a bookstore, and so you walk up stairs to get to the entrance. I was seated right away, no problem. There were about 5 – 8 other people dining there as well. The waiter came right over and explained the menu, as well as giving a recommendation when I asked what he thought the best salad was. I ordered the Kale Caesar Salad and added chicken. The dressing was flavorful, the salad was fresh and the chicken was seared with some added curry seasoning. I do not live in Aspen, but when I go visit again, I will check this place out again. There were several more items on the menu that looked great. I love that their main focus is on nutrition, without sacrificing flavor.

The food was light, but filling and delicious! The service was fantastic. Such a great atmosphere. Very unique and quaint. I loved it. We came in with a large party and they were very accommodating for such a small place. Everything I tried was amazing! And if you like peanut butter then do yourself a favor and get the peanut butter crème brûlée!

Small restaurant, big quality. The vegetable pot stickers were amazing with a really great sauce and salad. Butternut squash soup followed and was outstanding. The rainbow quinoa stir fry was excellent in terms of color, texture and taste. Great wine list without being an encyclopedia and the wait staff was great. Everything on the menu was clearly labeled in terms of gluten, vegan etc. This may not be the best choice if you are nut allergic.

Overall, this was not a satisfactory experience. Each dish I tried proved to be a bigger culinary failure than the last. Pros: –Great view –Located on the top level of a bookstore, very cute Cons: –Rude waiters. I could tell they wanted us out the door the second our dishes were half-empty. They also had unfriendly attitudes during the entire meal. –Very limited menu. –Tasteless food. Tried many things(tortilla soup, quinoa salad, chicken sandwich, chicken stir fry, risotto, spring rolls) and all were disappointing. Granted, this is a healthy restaurant with a lot of vegan and gluten free options, but I’m not convinced that’s a good enough excuse for such culinary failures. If you have a diet that requires vegan or gluten free options, you’ll have some here. But don’t expect anything good.
