What a great local restaurant. They did a great job with my sisters 50th Birthday. There were 24 of us and everyone enjoyed their dinner. Brian our waiter was awesome!

This was my first time here. I had the chicken parm, angel hair pasta, and the soup of the day which was a creamy seafood bowl of deliciousness. The chicken parm was great, cheese was good, not too much, and the angel hair was a nice compliment. Atmosphere of the place was great, they had music which was nice but not too loud, and the place was nicely decorated for the holidays. They also provided bread and oil with your meal which was good. Would definitely go back here.

The food was great at Casa Prego but a bit on the expensive side for me. My husband had the Lobster Ravioli and a side salad(although he had asked for soup) which he enjoyed, but the big guy that he is, the portion size just wasn’t quite big enough. I think he was expecting a bit more for $ 23, but it was lobster after all. I had the risotto special of the day which was just delightful — it had a subtle yellow tomato sauce and was perfectly creamy topped with breaded/fried okra and jalapeño peppers. I also had a side salad, which was nice and fresh, and was perfectly content with my meal and the price we paid for it(about $ 12). Our waiter was just the sweetest guy ever! Even though he messed up and gave my husband a salad instead of soup, he did apologize when he realized it and we were still pleased with his service. The service was pretty slow but that wasn’t his fault. The overall ambience of Casa Prego is a little lacking, but in the space that it’s in, I’m really not sure what else they could do to change that. Overall, I am sure we will head back to Casa Prego again to give them another try at some point…

Some of the best food in Aston, ad surrounding area. Chef has great specials. Try the chile rellano with crabmeat.

I’ve been here a few times but stay away due to the price. The food is good, I never had a problem with the service, and everyone i have brought there has had at least a good meal if not a great one. If you are looking for a place to spend your local dollars try them. They have a tough location to thrive in and I really think they are good restaurant at heart. The décor shows they don’t have a lot of money — that and the price is why the only 3 stars.

Went back again and service was much better but still a few off-putting things.(Food is great — especially chicken parm and anything with rosa /aurora sauce) Charged $ 2.00 extra to have aforementioned sauce on kids meal(pasta and meatballs — and then no meatballs arrived. Owner came around to see how things were BEFORE any food had arrived. And he seems grumpy. Weird. Meanwhile our 8 year old likes it here so I bet we’ll be back. Wish they were friendlier.

My wife and I have been to Casa Prego more times than I can count. We love this place and try to go whenever we are in the area. My wife is a vegetarian and a picky eater. The staff has always made sure she finds something delicious on or off the menu to eat. Not sure if the people who made such negative comments have ever been to a decent restaurant or just use Olive Garden as their guide. To the rest of us, Casa Prego is worth the trip and the experience.

We just went to this restaurant for the first time. The interior is cute. Butcher paper over the tablecloths is not classy. The staff were friendly, but not especially attentive or knowledgeable. The menu is the perfect length, just two pages, so it is easier for the kitchen to focus on what it is good at, and for patrons to make decisions. Courses were served to us at a good pace, so we were not rushed or left waiting. We started with the poached pear salad. It was okay, but all the fruit and nuts were at the bottom of the dish, covered with greens and the pear, which was annoying, and there was only one lump of the gorgonzola. There was no way this was a $ 10 salad. The four-cheese risotto with seared scallop was the best. It was very creamy and delicious, and I have too often been disappointed with undercooked risotto at other restaurants. It was strange, though, how little asparagus there was, and that the scallops were cut in half, maybe to make it look like there were more of them. This dish could easily be an entrée, and may be the best reason to go to Casa Prego. The lobster bisque was not like any other we’ve ever had, and we did not like it. It was dark red and thick, had no chunks of meat, and had an off smell. Maybe it is an Italian recipe rather than New England, and an acquired taste. After the waitress took away our uneaten soup, the chef/owner came out to ask how we were enjoying our meal. We said we were fine(it was not a big deal to us that we did not like the soup), and he left. Our entrees were the lobster ravioli and the chili rilleno, which were both good. The portions were generous, especially given that we had appetizers, and we had leftovers for lunch the next day. Overall, this restaurant is decent. The chef seems to care about his work and his restaurant. Nothing was exceptional, and there were a few flaws, and the prices are all high relative to comparable restaurants, but I might go back for more risotto some day. It is still better than Olive Garden.

I don’t understand the bad reviews for this place. We frequent this place often and have always had wonderful dinners and service. Byob and the liquor store is right next door

Not feeling this place anymore. Have been in about 10 times. Was a nice quiet with decent food kinda place. Last 2 times, ehh. Last trip had the fruiti de mar. Very skimpy on seafood, white sauce was worst I ever had. Zero flavor. Service was beyond bad. Never asked if we wanted drinks. And I’m guessing the garden hose didst reach the end of the table because I never could get a refill on my water. Expensive for the portion. Gonna give it 1 more chance but right now its a 1 star

Boy, you’re going to bat a big fat ZERO with this place! You’ve been warned. Service was average when you could find the server. Food below average. My partner & I had the chicken parm that was three small medallions of chicken. This particular night must have been«sauce rationing» night because there was barely any red sauce on our entrée. Very little cheese either. I ordered and agreed to pay extra for Alfredo for my pasta portion. The Alfredo was probably the best part of the meal. Nothing special about the dinner salad nor fried mozzarella which was a small portion for the large price charged! Nothing worse than going to sinner and being hungry an hour later. All in all as someone else said… Italian is a dime a dozen and definitely won’t return here.

The food was good, atmosphere quaint and the servers friendly. I thought the prices were high for a BYOB.

One of our favorite spots! My husband I and I go here as frequently as we can get a babysitter! If we can’t, their takeout is just as good as going there. The servers are super friendly, the ambiance is nice and quiet(which we love) and the quality of food is great! My husband is a super picky Italian eater, and he orders a few appetizers, the daily soup special, and an entrée. The pink sauce is amazing and the soups are always so fresh and delicious. We also really love the mussels in a red sauce. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good Italian meal that doesn’t feel like driving to the city.

My husband and I went to Case Prego Saturday night for dinner with another couple. Yes, it is in the strip mall with Big Lots, but we really enjoyed our experience. First, its BYOB and who doesn’t love a BYOB? There is a Wine and Spirits store next store if you forgot a bottle like we tend to do. The inside is simple and the tables aren’t crowded. The service was a tad slow but it was a very busy Saturday night. We weren’t in a hurry so this didn’t bother us at all. Everyone loved their food. The Sautéed Fresh Mozzarella was outstanding. I had Chicken Parm which was also very good. The chicken was very moist and the pasta cooked perfectly. My husband had the tasting plate and thought everything was pretty good but nothing too fantastic. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience and will be going back(next time with a gift certificate).

My wife and i returned after a few cold months of staying in and cooking home-style. My shrimp bisque was excellent left me wanting to make a meal of it. Her entrée of Chicken Cacciatore was very good and plentiful. I had the Fruitti de Mare over choice of pasta(I had Angel Hiar) that was excellent. Lots of seafood and the sauce was very tasty. We both cleaned our plates, which in her case is rare. With a Pa. Wine Store next door, this BYOB has it all.

My fiancé and I had the pleasure of dining at this great little restaurant in Aston, PA. Granted, it is located in a strip mall and as a result we weren’t sure what to think. However, we live in the area and constantly see it pretty packed so we figured there must be a reason! We had a gift certificate from so we decided to give it a whirl. SERVICE: From the moment we entered, we couldn’t have been treated better. The hostess was warm and inviting and, even though we were 15 minutes early for our 7:30 reservation, she quickly seated us near a window. FOOD: Here is what we ordered– Garlic bread– delicious. Better than Maggiano’s in my opinion, and we LOVE Maggiano’s. Gnoc and Cheese– we couldn’t get enough of this. It had fresh backfin crabmeat and we devoured every last bit of all of it, including the cheese sauce! Rack of Lamb– this was a special, my fiancé ordered it and said it was terrific. Very tender. Lobster Ravioli– this is my favorite Italian dish and I order it everywhere we go. THISWASTHEBEST I’VEEVERHAD! The lobster meat was fresh and plentiful(some restaurants are stingy, not here!) Our server, Danielle, was so friendly and attentive. She constantly filled our water glasses, but wasn’t annoying about it. At the end of our meal, the chef came out and talked to us to make sure we were happy with our experience. How great is that??? It is a BYOB, but there is a wine store right next door. We actually liked this better because it meant we weren’t going to get majorly upcharged for our drinks! Bottom line: we had a great time, had attentive service, ate delicious food, and would highly recommend. Great hidden treasure in Delaware County! To top it off, after our $ 25 gift certificate, we only paid $ 50– including tax and tip! For a date night, we couldn’t have been happier. I was very happy with my entire experience, and can’t wait to go back. :)

Here goes another 80%-off gift card trip! $ 1 for a $ 10 gift card. Todd and I stopped in for our 2 year wedding anniversary– and it was decent. I’ve been to Ralph’s in South Philly more times than I can count(and if you haven’t gone, stop reading and go now) so I’ve been spoiled as far as Italian restys go– but for what this place is(a strip mall family owned spot) it can certainly serve a proper Italian dish. To celebrate the cotton anniversary, we were started off with warm bread and oil–(very good) and the mussels in red sauce– just OK. I wasn’t blow away by the sauce– it was acceptable and the mussels were cooked well but I wouldn’t be surprised if they subbed this for a tomato bisque on some days. Also– I think it’s time to clean off the grill. More bread was served with the appetizer but the grill marks made it taste a little burnt– kind of like an ash tray. Yeck. New England Clam Chowder that comes with dinner was AWESOME. Perfect calm to potato ratio. Thick, creamy base. Deeelish. Todd was thrilled with his chicken parm– three mid sized, thinly pounded portions of chicken over a bed of pasta but I’ve never met a chicken parm I didn’t like. I can’t say my flounder francaise knocked my socks off. The sauce was good(a nice lemon flavor) but the breading was a little too thick so it made it a little soggy– it appeared that about 15 eggs were used in the batter and that’s a big no-no in my book. I’m a breading purist: 1 egg(or fewer if you can help it) per pound of meat. The veggies that accompanied the meal were cooked perfectly and were delicious so the botched breading was kind of a bummer. Midway through dinner we were visited by the chef but he didn’t really engage us so I didn’t bother sharing my breading thoughts. He seemed very chummy with some folks at another table so it looks like he has a good relationship with repeat visitors. The cheesecake and cannolis were tasty and the service was great. We visited on a Tuesday night on one of the coldest nights of the year so business wasn’t booming but I’ve passed by when the place was hoppin’. Casa Prego is a spacious and moderately priced strip mall stop off– $ 63 including tax for an app, two dinners and two desserts. Although we didn’t ask, they appear to be a BYO joint– the table across the room from us had two of the big bottles of wine. They aren’t open Mondays so don’t bother visiting then! We might be back but I think next time I’ll just stick to pasta and meat balls or something similar.

Well, that was a waste of time. Not to sound overly elitist, but my friends and I almost never go out to Delaware County restaurants, especially Italian ones, because the food is nearly always a carbon copy of Olive Garden at a higher price. Casa Prego, you were actually worse than that garbage«Italian» chain that microwaves most of their food in the back. Congratulations! The appetizers(fried mozzarella and a meat and cheese dish) were passable if extremely overpriced for what you got. Charging $ 9 for a plate of stuff that literally looks like it came from the Giant supermarket across the parking lot is shameful. The mozzarella was okay… actually probably the best part of the meal. The entrees were Olive Garden-lite. The tortellini($ 14) tasted exactly like those Buttoni pastas from the supermarket in a canned blush sauce. The chicken parm($ 16) and eggplant parm($ 14) were very average… about what you’d make at home on a weeknight. Bland sauce, overcooked meat/veggie. And then there was my dish. Since it was a new Italian spot(for us) in Delco I went as safe as I could: linguini with a pomodoro sauce with meatballs($ 14). Before trying the pasta I tasted a meatball(which was grey and unappetizing looking). Spongy, dry, flavorless. Oh and for $ 3.50 you got two of these stones that were about the size of a golf ball. Not 4 or 5, but 2. Didn’t matter because they were terrible. Well, not as terrible as the pasta. Undercooked, clumped, and thoroughly inedible. Note: I never send back food as a general rule. I’ll eat my meal unless it’s inedible(spoiled, vastly undercooked, etc.). The chef didn’t stir the pasta and I can’t believe they actually sent that garbage plate out to a paying table. It’s really inexcusable. Regardless of my rule, my group convinced me to just send it back and get something else so I could enjoy my dinner with them. So, when I tried to get our server, Tara, to take it back she was nowhere to be found. In fact, it took about 20 minutes before we could get anyone’s attention. We ended up grabbing a different server to get Tara to come back. About 10 minutes later she stopped by with a «how’s everything?» Here’s where it went from bad to I-can’t-believe-this-is-a-restaurant. She had the nerve to argue with me about the pasta being undercooked! She tried to pass it off as «fresh pasta sometimes comes a little undercooked.» HELLO, FRESHPASTAISSOFTNOTDRIEDAND, THUS, NOTHARD. She then whisked my dish away, assuming I wanted another one of these terrible dishes. I flagged the manager/owner/whoever and let her know I didn’t want another dish. The entrees had been on the table for a good 35 – 40 minutes at this point and I wasn’t waiting another 15 – 20 to get my food and dine alone. I will never dine at this place again. Neither should you.

Went there for a Saturday night date with my boyfriend. The place was pretty crowded due to a surprise dinner party. The menu was interesting, I ordered the Chile Relleno with Crab and all my boyfriend wanted was spaghetti with meatballs in the traditional red sauce. Well unfortunately for us we had Lori Ann as our waitress. Because spaghetti with meatballs was easily readable on the menu my boyfriend asked Lori Ann, and in the middle of speaking she rudely yelled at him«What are you saying, I can’t understand you!» Her tone and volume of her voice was unnecessary. He explained it again, and she assumed he wanted fettuccini alfredo. She would take our stuff off the table without asking if we were done, our food took forever to come out(I assume it was because of the large private party) and when she would ask if there was anything she could get us, she walked away in the middle of me talking. She heard me complain about her and she came over later and asked if everything between us was«ok» like we were old friends in the middle of a fight. I was going to talk to the manager but I didn’t care enough about the place to do it. Her tip reflected what we though about her service. The food was very good but the service was crap and since italian resturants are a dime a dozen, I would only go back if Lori Ann was not my waitress or if I got take out.
