So we go to this store, because the sign outside says, «goonies store» … It is also an organic coffee shop. We asked a question about the goonies house, as we made a purchase. We were rudely told by the clerk, «I won’t even talk about that. I get asked about that all day» … If the sign outside didn’t say goonies store, we wouldn’t have asked about it. Left wondering this: would he have refused to answer if we asked about coffee? Surely he gets asked about the shop’s coffee selection all day too. Cute store, but rude staff. Wouldn’t return or recommend.

We stopped to check out this little shop. The guy let me smell some different coffee beans and I chose the peaberry-Tanzania. Amazing tasting coffee. I will be checking to see if the ship orders!

There are a couple of roasters in Astoria and both are good. But good things do come in small packages and for me Astoria Coffee Company is a winner. NOTE: **NOT to be confused with Astoria Coffee House which is a bistro** At Astoria Coffee Company, the shop itself also has some nibblies on offer and a great variety of loose leaf tea on top of their awesome coffee selection. Coffee accoutrements tempt us from shelves along with various local souvenirs and I couldn’t resist the Astoria Coffee Company branded 6oz mug. So tiny, so retro stylin’ *squee* i heart it so much! This café location is the actual roaster, so this experience is an authentic one. The barista, also being a roaster him/herself will patiently explain about the beans on hand, helping you make the right choice. Our experience was also enhance by the wharf across the street which was host to approximately 120 sea lions at the time of our visit. Imagine the noise! Thankfully we were upwind to them. Observing these large sea mammals is so exhilarating. Apparently they arrive once a year to this protected harbor so the local establishment had to build some resting platforms for them. This was mid April but the pod could arrive anywhere from late March to late May, depending on the weather. Have fun in Astoria, what a great town!

We ordered a grilled roast beef sandwich… best roast beef ever. Gooey, crispy yumminess! And great coffee to boot!

Not gonna lie– I only found this place because it’s located on the corner of the street you have to turn on to get to the Goonies House(now closed to tourist traffic) and the school on Kindergarten Cop. I bought 3 lbs. of their Northwest Blend whole bean and yes, it’s good enough, Northwest is good enough… For meeee it’s good enouuuuuuugh!!! Sorry. I had the song from The Goonies stuck in my head. Very friendly staff inside. The place smells amazing, and they also sell Goonies memorabilia inside. The prices are very reasonable. I will go back for some more coffee and some tea as well for my wife.

Good coffee, good ice tea, decent chocolate chip cookie, AMAZING location. It’s a little tricky to find, but just keep heading out on the pier, you’ll find it.

Stopped in here for a quick drink on our way back from to Portland. Was amazed at all the teas and bought quite a few. The gentleman was the type of guy I wanted to sit down and chat with. I’m moving to l. a at the end of the month and am sorry I didn’t find this place sooner on my coast trips. My be had an almond milk mocha which he said was the best he ever had. I opted for a tea which was outstanding. Looking forward to the 9 teas I picked up from here.

Nice staff, good coffee, delicious ginger candy. The mocha was perfect not to sweet or heavy. They have tea and coffee to buy in bulk.

I have been to this coffee shop before. Great coffee and very nice owner. Today we were planning to buy coffee and much more but when the owner tells my 9 year old grandson he doesn’t have a bathroom he can use we left and spent our money elsewhere!!!

It’s ironic; I love Astoria Coffee Co for its tea! The owner has an incredibly wide selection of teas he procures and mixes, including the Flavel House Special Blend Tea, which they actually serve at the Flavel House teas! It’s an incredibly bright, flavorful tea with a bit of fruitiness. It’s so delicious! We are almost out of it, and I am almost thinking we must return to Astoria(from Portland) just to purchase it! This is a cute shop with lots of natural historic charm. The owner told us that it used to be a grocery store for a hundred years, and you can feel that when you enter! And, he let me smell all the different types of teas, and try two! The logo is really pretty — they sell their mugs there(we got one!), and the tea is outstanding!

Love this shop! This is the type of store that makes me miss Oregon whenever we leave. Amazing store with fresh amazing coffee from around the one. Their owner creates their own house blends that are superior to anywhere else we’ve been! I’m also a big tea lover and appreciate her delectable selection of teas! The freshness and blends are so sweet, each cup leaves you more than satisfied! Love their spice selection and offerings of small to large packages. I can’t wait to go back to Astoria next time and load up for my family and myself! Love love love this shop! Hidden gem!

I’ve been making the trek from Portland to Astoria for over 10 years now just to buy the tea from this great place. I love the small town experience and outstanding quality! The Flavel House tea makes every morning a treat!

Grab a coffee or tea right before you turn up the street to see The Goonies house! The coffee is phenomenal, and the owner is super friendly. He asked what we were looking for, and made sure to have us smell the beans to get the brew that was fit for us. Just a quick tip: CASHONLY — so make sure to stop by the bank on your way :)

Astoria Coffee’s «Code 42» blend is tied for first place for the best coffee I’ve ever had. Try it.

This place has the best coffee and tea on the West Coast! They roast their own coffee beans on the premises and brew if fresh each morning as is the tea. No guarantee as to what will be brewed, but tell the owners what it is you like and they can steer you in the right directions. And that is the other thing; the owners are EXCEPTIONALLY knowledgeable about their products no matter whether it is coffee, tea, or the spices they sell. All is of great quality. So stop in for a cup and say hi.
