I’m a midwest transplant so I was looking for some good deep dish pizza and this place came up in my search so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Sicilian pizza with half pepperoni and the greek salad for delivery. The salad was a joke, it was a ton of iceberg lettuce and very little anything else. The pizza was good. The best deep dish I’ve had thus far in NYC but it was a too cheesy. I’m not sure if that is a characteristic of Sicilian pizza but there was just too much cheese. I also wasn’t impressed by the fact there was only one size. Overall the pizza was fine but my search continues…

The WORST place ever! They changed the team few months ago, and ever since the quality is BAAAAAD!! at every level! So DONOTTRUSTREVIEWS posted a year ago or so! The garlic knots are tasteless, the cheese breadsticks and pizzas are lacking cheese and thus taste like an old tire, they SYSTEMATICALLY forget to send napkins, hot sauce, red pepper and oregano when you order a pizza delivery(even when you ask them EXPRESSLY not to forget it! And trust me I tried them 3 times before I get mad, cuz I remember they were gd before the team changes).not to mention that the 2 last times the pizza was not even cooked enough! BOTTOMLINE: these guys are cheap thieves who don’t give a damn shit to the customer, they are just looking for making more money by cheating in the quality and quantity of the products they use, and by hiring incompetents(and probably less expansive) cooks!

The pizza itself is delicious, but that’s the only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars. I give them TONS of business because I’m a sucker for great pizza but after last weekend I’m totally done. We ordered delivery through seamless web and the pizza arrived with ALL the toppings completely slid off and collecting grease in a big puddle in the corner of the box. This is the THIRD time this has happened in the 2 years I’ve been ordering from them. We called to complain and reminded the guy who answered the phone that we’d called previously to complain about a similar issue with not so much as an apology. This time we wanted to be reimbursed. The pizza was barely edible after I had to pick up all the toppings and cheese and replace them on the pizza(I cannot stand to throw that much food away so we tried to salvage it). After 10 minutes of convincing the man on the phone finally agreed to send a delivery man to refund our money. Five minutes later the guy calls back and says, «We can’t refund your money unless you give us back the pizza.» Meanwhile, we had already put our HANDS in it and started eating the monstrosity. When we told him this, he said, «Well then we can’t refund you.» After ANOTHER ten minutes of arguing with the guy he said, «Okay, fine, the guy is on his way.» The delivery guy shows up 20 minutes later and says, «We need a photo of the pizza in order to give you a refund.» We take a photo of what’s left of this pizza, text it to the delivery guy, and receive our refund. My point here is, why not just say, «I’m so sorry your pizza is barely edible. We’ll refund you right away.» Instead they ruined our evening by making us call back again and again and now they’ve lost loyal neighborhood customers. We order from this place at least twice a month. Why would we lie about about a stupid pizza like that? To get a free pie? Give me a break. I’ll never order from this place again; the chance of getting a topping-less pie is quite high and the odds of being treated like dirt by the people who made it are even higher.

I went in and ordered a slice of pizza and Tiramisu. They guy working did NOT have gloves on and his hands were FILTHY! When I told him what slice of pizza I wanted he picked it up with his DIRTY hands then I told him I didn’t want that one and pointed to another which he used a utensil to pick it up and put it in the oven. I don’t understand why employees here don’t wear plastic gloves and pick up food with their bare hands which are visibly dirty? That is not healthy or sanitary. The tiramisu was frozen. He was a nice guy but should really be wearing gloves when dealing with food or at least not put his bare hands on food that others will be eating.

For the price, it wasn’t bad, but the garlic knots, while big and fluffy, were pretty flavorless. They tasted like greasy breadsticks. My roommate and I actually joked around a little bit, since the box it came in had the address of some pizza places from Hollywood, CA on it, but the pizza tasted a bit like LA pizza, too. Or, at least what LA thinks NY pizza should be. In reality, it was everything that anti-NY pizza critics dislike: A floppy, flaccid, flavorless, greasy slice that self-destructed in my hand. It improved when it cooled off, however. While I’m willing to give them a second chance, since many Unilocal reviews seem to like this place, I was pretty disappointed.

Just wrote on seamless: Ordered garlic knots and beef patties on the side, the garlic knots were plump and flavorful, the beef patty had just the right amount of spice. Delivery was prompt and attentive, and upon arrival courteous despite the elevator being busted. I absolutely would order from here again, and I stop in regularly when coming home from a late night on the town. Additionally, these guys definitely got a bad rap previously. Whatever happened in the past, definitely isn’t around anymore. Give them another try.

Love, love, love. Quality pizza for 1.75/slice. I went to get pizza at the more popular Dino’s Pizza, and I think it was just as good and cheaper. Their cheese pizza was just piled on with the cheese and the dough was limper, so the cheese was just sliding off the pizza… I actually prefer Astoria Park Pizza. :)

Fairly good slice of plain pizza for $ 1.75. One of the better slices in the immediate area. The place is fairly small; there are three small booths and each would fit four people comfortably. There’s a television in there and if you’re a fan of Spanish soap operas, you’ll be able to pop in and catch a few during your break.

This place makes me happy on a consistent basis. It’s your basic New York pizza place, exactly what you would expect. The food is good and the price is decent. Just don’t order a white pizza with extra cheese — they don’t seem to understand what that means. I got a regular cheese pizza with extra cheese and dollops of ricotta. But on the plus side, they let me keep the wrong pizza even after they’d brought me a new one. The new one didn’t seem to be extra cheese, but I wasn’t complaining about the $ 2 when I got an entire free(if weird) pizza. Will continue to order from this place. They are a good neighborhood pizza place!

I been eating here a few times when I go home late from work or going out on the weekend. The pizza is decent but nothing outstanding or they don’t over do it w/all of the crazy topping. After workng 10 – 12 hrs in the kitchen, I just want something nice and simple. FYI-always asked them to heat the pizza because it tasty like 1000 times better and if u eat it cold, it isn’t that good,

At $ 1.75 Astoria Park Pizza’s plain slice is quite good. I’ve also had the Chicken Parmigiana hero which was delicious and filling. This place is really growing on me. Good food at a reasonable price. Good: Chicken Parm Hero — $ 5.50 Plain slice — $ 1.75 Chicken Burrito — $ 5.00 Grilled Chicken Sandwich — $ 5.50 chicken parm pasta — $ 7.00 Okay: Fries — $ 3.00 Wrap BLT — $ 5.00

I really enjoy the pizza from this place. I think it is one of the best delivery pizza places in Astoria.
