Love this place!
I have been going here for lasagna sheets and other various items for 3 years now. Service is usually pretty quick unless I’ve went very early or if the person up front is tending to something in back. I don’t mind though as I’m rarely in a rush and it gives me time to see if I need to stock up on anything else they carry.

I’ve heard great things about this place and enjoy shopping at the family-​owned, neighborhood stores.
Unfortunately, I’ve never been able to try anything here because we were just ignored. It’s a bummer because their prices are reasonable.
The people working even looked at us a few times and just kept at what they were doing. It only took me 5 min to realize they weren’t interested in my business, so I left.

Great frozen ravioli (I like their spinach) for $ 8 and other frozen pasta for $ 5. This place closes by 3pm but I swung by last minute, noticed they were open and picked up some ravioli, tortelli with mushrooms, and the lady also threw in a bag of pasta! They didn’t have any fresh pasta left since they sell a lot to restaurants during the morning and they were about to close but I’d love to get some sometime for $ 3.50/lb. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, not in a fawning way but very genuine. It’s really great to have a fresh pasta shop in the neighborhood!

Cassinelli provides excellent fresh (and some frozen) homemade pasta. It can be found in the freezer section of most of the delis in the neighborhood, but nothing is as good (or cheap) as getting it fresh directly from the store.
Just like a good butcher/​fish store, you can tell them what you want to make and for how many people, and they’ll give you recommendations for what pastas work best and how much you’ll need.

So you like pasta? You live in Astoria? You’ve never had Cassinelli’s??? Then you my friend have not been baptized a true Astoria yet. Being born and raised in Astoria I can personally tell you that Cassinelli’s is without a doubt the most amazing pasta manufacturer in all of Queens. My Real Estate office is just three stored over and I can stand outside on any given day and watch the masses flock into and out of the storefront in search of their pasta fix.
This quaint pasta shop/​manufacturer is an Astoria legend with it’s tasty raviolis, shells, macaroni, and other pastas feeding this and many other neighborhoods for more than 40 years. Their frozen selections cook well but to truly appreciate their pasta making skills you should purchase some fresh made items and cook them that same day. The mouth water pureness of their pasta will leave you wanting more and more. Each bite will only strengthen your conviction to go back often and buy more.
THEN you will be a true baptized Astorian.

Right before Christmas, I can always be found here. The best — and freshest — pasta in New York. My family has been coming here for decades. It is absolutely worth the trip. They’re outstanding. New York’s best kept secret.

They took their time to explain the different kinds of pasta, how to cook each kind of pasta, and then after I finally made a decision they threw in a free bag of pasta!
Great service, the pasta tasted great and they also have some imported Italian chocolate bars which were fantastic as well.

My family has been going here since I was a kid and the quality hasn’t decreased. Friendly service and restaurant-​quality pasta with a clean factory, you can’t get any better than this for purchasing pasta to cook.
They even throw in some bonus pasta when you get a lot of it, which makes the deal even better.

this place really takes you back. I went here on my day off during the week which seems to be the only time you can actually go here.
The man at the counter was so sweet and there was so much fresh pasta around. I saw a woman in the back busy at work making it! I bought some frozen products and some fresh pasta to eat that day and I was not disappointed.

This place is great. Type of establishment that define why Queens is so great for food. Their fresh pasta is so good. My grandparents used to go here as well. You really don’t get long standing places like this anymore. try everything! I only get my raviolis here, gnocchi, etc. Everything is excellent.

Outstanding Fresh Pasta! Try their four mushroom tortellini. I like to make a salad with it including tiny diced water chestnuts, fresh dill and olive oil. Their ravioli are amazing! and so is just about everything else. It’s kind of a secret that it’s open to the average consumer but don’t miss out.

I heart Cassinelli. I won’t be able to do a gluten free diet because of them (unless I become allergic).
This store is a small front of their pasta factory. Here you’ll find all Cassinelli’s pasta varieties such as bucatini, fettuccine, tortellini, ravioli and so on. The owner (Antonio?), after he learned that we are new to the neighborhood, welcomed us and threw in some free pasta when we checked out. Yeap, he knows how to start building loyal customers…
Freebie or not, their pasta is fresh (obviously). And when cooked properly, the elasticity (implicating the chewiness) and the silky texture of the pasta is wonderful, these will make a dish shine. Their products make you want to open up your pantry and dump all the other dry boxed supermarket brand into the trash. Amico mio, if you like pasta then you need pay them a visit and stock up your fridge.

I love this store. The owners are super nice, and the prices are so reasonable. I love the raviolis, and all of the other pastas are delicious as well. And they throw in some free pasta from time to time. What more could you want?
The only thing is that you need to cook your pasta ASAP after purchase. It will be moldy within two days. I learned this the hard way. I’m still going through the grieving process for the delicious ¼ lb of pasta I lost.

I love this place… and it’s not just because I keep getting free pasta.
I wandered in here one afternoon, as I do to most places, and was surprised to discover the counter full of fresh pasta. Being a fat kid, I immediately loaded up. The proprietor was super friendly and even threw in a free bag as she told me that that was one of her favorites. As she checked me out, she walked me through the best way to cook and store my new acquisitions and even recommended different sauces to go along with everything.
Obviously, I ate nothing but pasta that week and returned the next for more. Honestly, this is one of the places that I missed the most when I moved back to Manhattan.

I will most definitely be a repeat customer many times over! After a friend referred me to Cassinelli for fresh pasta, I finally made it there (5 months later) and am kicking myself for not going sooner! I left with 2 packages of frozen ravioli (cheese and spinach) and a fresh package of spaghetti. Needless to say, Cassinelli deserves all the hype it gets! The fresh pasta was probably the best I’ve had in NYC, and I can’t wait to try the ravioli. Added bonuses, on top of the quality and variety of the pasta, the service and price were unbeatable!

I cannot say enough good things about this place.
When I first discovered the store, it struck me as odd at how small it was. Then I noticed the giant pasta making factory in the back and was blown away.
The pasta is all fresh and of top quality. This stuff rivals Italian Grandma pasta making. They also have a decent pasta sauce available if you’re too lazy to whip some up.
Would recommend to any pasta fanatic. You can find their products in stores around Astoria but might as well take the trip to see where it comes from. You will not be disappointed.
Just a note, the pasta is pricey since it is fresh and not the supermarket dried kind, but it’s well worth it.

Dropped in for some pasta and left with some recipes. The owner is friendly and clearly loves his pasta. Their mushroom ravioli is worth stocking up on to make any dinner night feel special. I’ll be back as long as they keep putting out the pasta!

Stopped by this place the other day for freshly made pasta. Raviolis are awesome as well. Tony, the owner, is really nice!
They close early though. Make sure you get there before 3pm.

Love this place. The pasta is fresh and the service is friendly.
I brought home the mushroom ravioli at $ 6.00 for 1 pound, as well as a pound of buccatini.
I’ve lived this long without access to pasta as fresh as this, but now I don’t know how long I’ll live without Cassinelli’s or pasta this fresh.

Cassinelli has the freshest pasta in Queens and in so many varieties they are sure to please everyone.
I don’t really like cheese ravioli, however, when I make it from Cassinelli’s it tastes totally different. Their pastas taste great as well.
The staff inside are friendly and prices are average.
Forget Barilla, Cassinelli’s is the real «choice of Italy.»
