Looks like this place shut down just recently. Too bad! They had great wings! Sweet Spot’s wings just don’t compare. I’ll miss Trivia Tuesday too!

I’ve gone by a few times since Tues 9⁄30 and it’s been locked and dark each time. Looks like this place has gone out of business? No sign on the door, no updates on FB or Twitter.

What happens when the football game you are watching suddenly disappears and you’re staring at some other game? Ok now what happens when this affects 10 other people? You have a big problem, this is New York after all. Mayhem commences and the staff starts sweating! Somewhat hilarious and the experience I had on NFL sunday. It then took the staff about 20 minutes to change the channel. I didn’t know changing channels on a TV was such a complicated process. That being said the place is small and cozy with several TVs(~30−32 inches) and a main projector for NY teams. The food was good and the staff is pretty friendly.

For what it is my boyfriend and I love this place. The past year they have been transitioning but we stuck with them. We have only had 1 bad experience, due to new staff and poor communication. We went on a boycott but couldn’t stay away!

Stopped in here for a drink after a long night in Astoria. This place screams«get drunk before getting on the train.» Seemed a bit understaffed. Overall it was a friendly place. Kind of a hole in the wall. Hot as hell in there! I would stop back for a drink but would be wary of ordering food!

This is my favorite spot bar to visit with my girlfriend in Astoria! This is a real nice bar, and the atmosphere is so cozy. You can get lost in there for hours! As far as bars go, this place is about as clean as it gets. It can get a little pricey, but it’s so worth it. I’ve had almost everything on the menu and it’s absolutely delicious. The pizza is to die for. The burgers are so juicy, and the fries are so crispy. The servers enhance the experience here even more. They are so nice and the service is awesome and always on point. If you’re in the area, definitely give this place a shot. You’ll be glad!

Menu has changed. Good atmosphere and quality service. I’ve made this place on of my regulars for the ditmars/31st area.

Love the small setting and good for drinks after work. They don’t have angry orchard or bluemoon which is a bummer. The wings are pretty good and trivia night is always fun with the gang. Nice small setting to have a date and actually hear them!

Ditmars Station is a solid bar/restaurant in the area. Its a few blocks from my apartment and super convenient for a random night. I’ve always had good service and drinks here. It’s nice and pretty modern inside. Prices are reasonable for the area. The crowd is laid back and mostly locals which I can really appreciate. I was here in the fall on Karaōke night, and was BLOWNAWAY from one of the bartenders who at the end of the night was singing beautiful opera. This was one of my most memorable experiences in Astoria. Holy canoli that girl has talent, I hope she is still there and serving, I must go back soon and check. I haven’t had their food but it looks good. Also their bathrooms are clean.

Ditmars Station is one of those places I wasn’t sure about at first: under the subway, plates of food on display outside alongside melting cocktails and brunch drinks. Those they could do without. HOWEVER. That being said, I took a chance on it when a group of friends decided it would be a great place to get brunch and watch college football on Saturdays, and I am glad I did. The crowd is great, particularly during football season, and the bartenders are very attentive, especially Derek. I docked a star because there are definitely a few waitresses who can be less than attentive. Great specials during Gator games, lots of TVs so you don’t miss out on the action, decent beers on draught, and the food — although it can be on the pricey side — is spot on. My boyfriend and I love the wings(Atomic Wings) and the burgers so much that sometimes we order them in when we’re fancying a night in. The pizza is also awesome and the French fries are killer. Pro tip: Sunday brunch is $ 20 for an entrée and unlimited drinks for 2 hours.

This place has great pizza. I’ve been here many times just for that and a couple beers. They usually have a decent selection. There are fair happy hour deals and the boozy brunch on weekends is an awesome deal that no one knows about. Entrée, side and unlimited drinks for 2 hours :)

The boyfriend and I came here to kill a few hours before meeting a friend for a late dinner on Ditmars. We happened by the bar, which looked inviting with it’s open windows. Although the restaurant area was empty, almost all of the seats at the bar were taken so we grabbed the seats facing out onto the sidewalk. The boyfriend ordered me a glass of the Cabernet Sauvignon and got himself a Captain Lawrence Freshchester Pale Ale(bottle). We also ordered the calamari(appetizer) to hold us over until dinner. I was a bit surprised at how long it took for the calamari to come out, considering the bar wasn’t full and a few people at the bar were already eating. The calamari was decent. I was sad that it wasn’t crispy but pleasantly surprised that Parmesan was sprinkled on top. When it was time to grab the check, the boyfriend did a small double-take, which made me glance down at the final total. Wow. Those prices were on par with a place in midtown, not a pub in Queens. Overall, it doesn’t look like we’ll be giving this place another chance any time soon.

Went to brunch here a couple of Sundays ago and I have to admit, I really frakking enjoyed it! The place wasnt overly crowded, most likely because it was«Easter Sunday» but the 80’s music and unlimited brunch drinks were enjoyable. Ok wait, dont get me wrong, I didnt stumble out after brunch drunk, I think for«unlimited» they keep the liquor that they’re pouring to a minimum and thats fine too. I had the breakfast wrap, which I devoured and my wife had the three egg omlette, we did damage to both plates as well as a side of onion rings. Would definitely come again with friends and family

Yes the drinks are VERY weak. The staff is ok. Food took over 45mins and during this time we had only seen one dish come out.(Which were nachos) Atmosphere is good but who cares about that if you can’t get good food and good drinks. Sad because this place has potential.

I’ve been here many times. The drinks were weak. The staff was okay, not mean, but not friendly. Just kinda there. The food is subpar. Just your typical bar food. It’s in a great location. It has decent deals for happy hours and such. The interior is a little odd. There is a back room that you’re sometimes seated in, away from everything. It is nice for an intimate setting, but not decorated as such. And it’s just awkward when you’re seated there when there are regular booths available in the main area. I wouldn’t recommend this place since there are far better places within walking distance.

Love this place! I come here often. I love the casual atmosphere and sit-down service. It’s a great place to have a drink with one or a group of friends. They have good, not great food, but you get what you should expect in a sports bar. Food is a liiiiiitttle bit expensive though. I love their trivia nights and karaōke nights! Always have a good time on those days.

Very good burgers, decent draft selections & friendly service. Wasn’t blown away, but it’s a nice option in the area if you need a beer or bite to eat.

Ditmars Station is right by my N Train stop, but I hadn’t been there since it was YOLO. Since the façade tries to play up the train theme, I hope you choo-choo-choose this review for your research. The vibe inside is totally different. It’s a small but modern-looking sports bar with tons of TVs. Although there isn’t a ton of seating, my football companion and I had a choice booth that faced a wall of TVs, so we could see all three games on at once. The menu is standard bar food, and tastes as such. The nachos were kind of bland, and I had some meatballs that tasted like.meatballs. Everything seemed to be a few dollars more than it should be, but prices weren’t bad. When we were there, there were random groups of fans for every game on TV. Apparently degenerate Oakland fans can be found anywhere in America, along with one Browns fan, and two middle-aged women in matching Ravens sweaters and turtlenecks. Their theme is «A Sports Pub with Class.» I don’t get a «pub» vibe here(in a good way — it’s slightly too nice for that). As a low-key place to take in a good amount of football, I would definitely be back. Staff was very friendly.

Nice place, friendly bartender. I stopped in for Saturday brunch. Lots of TV screens well placed, I imagine that this would be a good place to watch a game. The Bloody Marys I had were good; they also have a really nice selection of beers(mostly domestic and Belgian.) The French toast and sausage I ordered was a little skimpy and not well presented given the price($ 12.95, including coffee and one drink, beer, or soda.)

[Originally posted to YOLO, because this one didn’t exist yet, although it was after the switch-over] Spent an afternoon(which turned into an evening) here at Ditmars Station, waiting to head to LGA for a flight that got continually delayed. Patriots were playing the Bears, and the 3 Pats fan and 1 Bears fan in the group needed to see the game. Since the Jets were playing locally, a trip to a bar was in order. 4 stars are based on the 3 pillars of any good bar/pub — Beer, Food, and Service Beer — Not a giant beer list, but some interesting taps, and that sunday’s special was a decent deal on non-junk beer. Food — we had the nachos and the wings — the wings were a strong A+, the nachos were a somewhat weaker B, but an overall positive effort. Service — granted, the place was sparsely populated, but our waitress was great — there when we needed her, but not hovering. The kicker was the overall vibe of the place — i just enjoyed the way it was decorated — felt warm, friendly, and inviting — not too sports-bar-y, but still casual.
