Freeway Driving School

I have taken many classes with other schools in the past and had my NY driving license for a while. However, I knew that I will be relocating to the west coast and that I would live on the highway. I took classes with Ines specifically for that. She was amazing. Ines is by far the best driving instructor that I ever had. I highly recommend her and Freeway Driving school.

Outstanding School and Instructor
I took lessons at Ferrari Driving School with three instructors (which varied from panic-​and-​scream, too-​cool-​to-​take-​my-​eyes-​off-​my-​phone and the chatty guy who was not of much help. Failed the road test twice and I was terrified of driving on the highway.
Ines at Freeway Driving School was absolutely outstanding as an instructor — calm, vigilant, receptive to the students concerns. She was great at getting me on the highway and managing to instill confidence while going over key points of driving. Fantastic and highly recommend her!

I had a terrible driving phobia! I thought I’d never be able to drive safely. Ines put me at ease and gently helped me build my confidence. I can’t believe I actually passed my road test on the first try! Since then I’ve been able to move to a beautiful suburban neighborhood where I now drive every day. Having my drivers license has given me the freedom to venture out of the 5 boros and has opened my life to so many opportunities. I would not have been able to do this without Ines and Freeway Driving School. If your fear of driving is holding you back from living your life then I recommend you go see Ines!

I had a great experience with Freeway Driving School. I had driven for many years but let my license expire after moving to New York City, and needed to start from scratch to get a new license. I went to Freeway Driving School to take the 5 hour training course, a one hour refresher and to use their car to take the road test.
The five hour training course was easy to take and comfortable. They give the course in the evening so it’s easy to fit in to your schedule if you work regular hours.
They helped me schedule the road test, and gave me a one hour refresher lesson sjust prior to the test so I could get used to their car and have a better understanding of what the examiners are looking for to pass the test. Instructor Ines is excellent. She’s patient, communicates clearly and does a great job of providing driving guidance as well as tips to pass the test. She understands and explains items the examiners are looking for that are not part of normal driving (for example, stopping twice at some intersections) and explains what you need to be careful of during the test.
For the test itself, they help examine your paperwork to make sure everything is in order. In my case there was a snafu regarding corrective lenses– my license indicated I needed them, but I got laser surgery a while ago and so didn’t have glasses. Inez helped to come up with a creative solution so the examiner would allow me to take the test, which I passed on the first try.
Even though I drove for many years, I do not believe I would have passed the road test on the first try without Freeway’s help. I recommend them very, very highly!

Over the years, I became too relaxed as a driver. When it came time to retake my road test, I found that I had picked up a lot of bad habits and failed the road test twice. So I decided to take driving lessons, and the instructor at Freeway Driving School was superb. She pointed out all of my dangerous moves and over the course of 6 lessons, ultimately made me very confident in driving a steady and safe fashion. Her tips for parallel parking and turning made all of the difference during the road test — which I dreaded, but passed with flying colors. I highly recommend this driving school for any new or «experienced» drivers.
