LOVEEEETHECHIAPUDDING and Avocado hummus sandwich. Great juice and smoothie selection. I just think it’s a tad bit overpriced. I end up spending like 30 – 40 $ but maybe I just over indulge because the menu is so good. Love that it has a lot of organic items. Omg and the apple peanut butter sandwich is BOMB too! Almost forgot about that one

Vegan foodddddd The staff answered my questions about the food and smoothies with patience. I got a green smoothie sans the agave, and it was the perfect amount of green bitterness to sweetness from the bananas. Their vegan avocado wrap was really simple, but yummy. It came with a dressing on the side… not too sure what it was but I did use it a food amount! It is a little pricey because everything is organic, but you are doing your body a huge favor by coming here.

Do not order anything for delivery. Half of my smoothie was in the bag and it was such a mess. It’s a real shame and waste.

I love the different types of smoothies and protein shakes here. They have healthy foods as well, which I have not tried out, but I definitely will order next time. The place is clean and neat. My favorite so far is the banana and kale smoothie(kale, banana, spinach, agave, and almond milk) with spirulina(which was recommended by the waiter). It was very filling and tastes great, as well. The 2 people that I’ve encountered who worked there were very nice and attentive to their customers.

It’s a nice little set up and it’s awesome to have such a natural, healthy place in Astoria for a change. I can finally get a juice, which I might get later today, actually. I had one cocktail here, it had whiskey, ginger and mint. I didn’t like it at all. Too strong, too rough, too expensive.

If it weren’t for my fellow Unilocalers, I never would have found this hidden gem on 37th street. Tucked behind the Grand Café, Ginger has a warm, inviting, and relaxing environment to enjoy alone or with friends. The staff is super friendly and knowledgable about everything that goes into the their organic juice presses and smoothies. I went on a Thursday night before July 4th weekend and it was dead quiet there. Quite surprising when you consider that they also serve… ALCOHOL! Wine and liquor! This place just got elevated even more in my mind after I found that out, and easily doubles as a great date spot! I’ll definitely be returning for all of the above. I recommend the«Protector» fresh juice press if you’re feeling that cold coming on. Works like a charm to stop it in its tracks!

So they are owned by Grand Café and share bathrooms w/them — in the hall next door — and they are filthy — and this was on a sat morning — they should be cleaned first thing — smelled like a public toilet. That said, it makes me worried about how clean the«kitchen» is at this place. The other things that worries me about cleanliness is that window behind the juicers — waiters from next door pop their heads in and order and watch what’s going on. They are breathing all over the juicers. I would love to know more about their sourcing — where is the produce coming from and is it really organic. I had the acai bowl with berries which took a long time to be made — I think they forgot or something. Good for a hot day but not filling — very few chopped up almonds so no real protein. so it’s basically like sorbet w/toppings and it’s kind of expensive. They have a few kinds of juices — I guess the juicers are different — but no explanation of what the difference is. If it’s not busy you can ask. The oatmeal bowl was big but you get 2 toppings before you start paying extra and they include cinnamon as a topping. That should be free and then you should be able to pick other toppings. That’s just being cheap. It’s cute inside but it’s loud from the juicers, plus the music, so it’s not really an enjoyable place to sit for too long. As for the pricing — the juice is on par w/manhattan prices — it’s what juice costs you guys, sorry. But the food is too pricey.

So I’ve walked past here quite a bit but have never gone in… but now i find myself in a juice cleanse and well that’s all it takes! Ginger always looked appealing from the outside but it is even more funky and eclectic on the inside(IN A GOODWAY!) I loved the décor and the awesome chalkboard lining the ENTIRE store on the upper molding. Whoever thought of that is genius. It’s pretty cool that it is both a sit down and take out place, I find most juice places don’t cater to both. So there’s a lot of comments on here about pricing for Ginger. I’ll add my two cents. The prices for their juices are the same as Manhattan juice establishments, most are about $ 10 for their diff kinds. It’s not cheap but I didn’t expect it to be. However, their create your own juices are $ 8 and I actually believe that’s a great deal. I know it’s Queens and we would all like the prices to be lower and not at Manhattan standards. BUT something to keep in mind… Ginger is the only of its kind in Astoria(I think there are only 1 or 2 other juice bars randomly around the hood). For this reason, they really kind of can charge what they want. Until juice bars start popping up everywhere, then they don’t have to get competitive with their pricing(this is how I see it at least). It just kind of is what it is, take it with a grain of salt. With all this being said, I will still return regardless of their prices. Moving on… The guy who was working last night, blonde with glasses was very friendly. I watched him converse with the girl before me and he noticed i was in gym clothes and asked how my workout was etc. Being personable and social with your clientele goes SUCH a long way, so thanks for that. And while they may charge Manhattan prices here I can PROMISE you that the treatment of their customers is 10X better here than it is of Manhattan Juice Bars. And my juice… oh my juice was tasty! I did a create your own… beets, cucumber, ginger, and pears! For all you fitness guru’s this is a great postworkout juice for reasons I won’t ramble on about here but try it! I really enjoyed the quality of my juice and service. I waited around long enough to know they made it fresh but not long enough to get impatient. Thanks Ginger, I will be back!

So tasty! What a refreshing little treat in Astoria. The vibe is very chill and relaxing on a Sunday morning. The açai bowl is delicious and reminds me of my post yoga mornings in Hawaii. The cold brew coffee is delicious. I am so happy I discovered this place and am only sad that it wasn’t around when I lived here

Fell in love with this place! I mean what vegan wouldn’t? Their banana, strawberry, blueberry, granola, coconut water, agave, and vanilla smoothie is to die for! It’s the perfect snack when you’re on the go. The tempeh BLT wrap was light with nice flavors. My boyfriend got the avocado cashew cheese wrap with tempeh, all I have to say is that I will definitely be getting that next time. The customer service was fantastic the guy at the counter was very helpful, he recommended many things on the menu. Overall my experience was better than I expected it to be, the music was pleasant, great food, lovely customer service and delicious food.

Francisco from the store called me the next day to apologize and offer to make up for what happened. He then sent me a gift card to use either at Ginger Organic or Grand Café next door. I appreciate the effort to make things right, especially since he did not have to reach out. I look forward to trying out more menu items here, and updating with feedback.

Damnnnn their smoothies are kick ass! Best I’ve had. I love their berry/coconut/granola smoothie, one of the two top choices. I love that there’s granola, it makes it feel less boring, more amusing to your taste buds. I don’t care too much for their green one(kale banana spinach). Healthy sure but not as tasty… Feels a bit gritty with the vegetable chunkies. Large size smoothie feels more watered down than regular size. They usually just add more ice. Not necessarily a better value(saves $ 1 instead of just buying two). I didn’t like their acai bowls too much. I would opt for a smoothie. It’s basically a smoothie(the blended acai) with toppings. It wasn’t that flavorful as Acai inherently isn’t too flavorful… So opt for a smoothie instead! Cost the same as well. I know this place Is organic and all and thus reflected in the higher prices. I only come here as a treat… Smoothies good for a light healthy breakfast. But damn dis expensive to have on the regular. Regardless, it’s a wonderful unique addition to the neighborhood!

I haven’t tried the juices yet — only the smoothies, but I crave them weekly. The staff is friendly and the space is adorable. I definitely leave feeling healthier and happier. My only complaint is that it’s a bit overpriced.

Delicious juice post yoga Makes anyone happy! Pre bottled or freshly made great tasting juices… I opted for the freshly made beet, apple and pear which was overly satisfying and my friend got kale, dandelions, cucumber, green apple and mint. Both equally delicious and clean tasting … 216oz juices for $ 17… Mmmmmmmmm!

For years I was misguided in my hangover remedies. ALL you need is a juice with something green, banana and occasionally some ginger. You’ll be at 100% by drink’s end… you can thank me later :) Oh and they deliver so you can lay in bed and wait for your miraculous little cure.

True story, I walked into this place with a killer hangover. Like if we want to go into serious detail, I got rowdy enough the night before to eat half a bag of White Castle sliders. Yeah, like that drunk. Anyway, the girls behind the counter were sweet and had some good recommendations for cold pressed juices to perk me up. They let me try some samples, and explained the processes for the different kinds of juices they make in house. The one I ultimately purchased had apple, lemon, ginger, kale and a spicy kick of cayenne. The juice was delicious, but at $ 9, I thought it was a little on the pricey side. Even so, I did feel much better after I drank it. But seriously, why are you even trusting this review after I told you that I ate White Castle the night before?

It was bound to happen and here it is — our very own organic juice bar! Now that it’s here I am not sure how it wasn’t always here in our trending Astoria hood. It’s a welcome addition. It’s also the equivalent of a fashionable tea lounge for the juice drinking crowd. And, if you’ve got a friend who wants a buzz with his/her fruit they also have a cocktail selection. You have to see it to believe how it all comes together, and it does. They also have cold press juices to go and offer packages if you’re interested in detoxing with the best of them. Nice seating and hipster drinks also means you will pay some decent cash for your juices but since coffee these days can cost you $ 5.00 it seems only appropriate to pay $ 11.00 for a large centrifugal juice mix. Given that they have seating you can milk that puppy for hours. To each his own!

Oh this place is adorable and delightful! I read somewhere that this was originally a back party room for Grand Café and I’m so glad they opened up. The décor is perfectly hip and cozy at the same time. And the full wall of windows make it bright and airy. They have two types of juices, cold pressed and traditional centrifugal juices. I couldn’t tell you which one I had since we all just came for cocktails. :) The cocktail list is small at the moment but I’m certain that they would happily add a shot of liquor to any of their juice combinations if you asked. Between the eight of us we tried all their cocktail varieties. All were bright and fresh and expertly mixed. The kind of cocktail that makes you forget how much liquor you are actually consuming. Each one is $ 12 which is pretty decently priced considering the juices alone range from $ 8-$ 10. They also have a nice little sampling of salads, which looked divine, in a cooler by the door. Personally, this is my kind of place. Every time I do a juice cleanse I always think about how it would be so much better with liquor and now ginger has beat me to the punch! The best part? They don’t judge you for dropping in at 11am on a Saturday for a cocktail. I can get down with this.
